Chapter 362: Fate to meet

The Five Ming Buddhist Institute is home to the world's only physical mandala that can be turned, which was built in the mid-90s by His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok through funds raised from his Dharma propagation abroad and donations from devotees at home.

The main purpose of building the mandala is to remind those who are studying the Dharma and Dharma practitioners to always visualize and gaze at the mandala no matter where they are or what they are doing, so as to receive the blessings of faith.

The mandala is a concrete structure, divided into 8 sides, each side is divided into three parts, left, middle and right, each part is enshrined in at least one protector, a total of 40 protectors.

The mandala is divided into three floors: the first floor is the prayer wheel corridor, which is open to all believers. On the east side of the mandala there are steps leading to the second floor through an iron gate, and on the second floor is a circle of houses lined up outward, where most of the protectors and ritual vessels are enshrined.

The top floor of the mandala is a secret hall, which is not open to the public, and it is said that it enshrines the three Vajra of the Great Buddha, the Dense and the Kalachakra, as well as many rare Tantric Buddha statues, relics and other sacred relics.

Generally speaking, it is the home of the Buddha, and the mandala is an object that must be worshiped during the practice of Tibetan Buddhist Tantra, mostly in the form of thangkas and murals, and if you go to other temples in Tibet, you can see the image of the mandala on the walls or ceilings.

Tibetan monks must respect a fixed format when drawing mandalas, and the specifications and scales of the statues are clearly stipulated, and they must not be changed so as not to reduce their sacredness.

The most famous place here is the celestial burial platform, one of the few celestial burials for people to see, which is a very serious ceremony, ancient and mysterious, and is believed in by the people of Tibetan areas as the path to bliss.

It was built on a relatively flat slope of the mountain, and a flat land as large as a basketball court was half-enclosed by iron fences, which was the place where the sky burial was carried out. It is the celestial burial master who strips the clothes of the corpse, dismemberes the corpse according to a certain procedure, and strips the flesh and bones.

Finally, the vulture was called with a whistle, fed in the order of bone and flesh, and the body of the deceased was offered to the vulture eagle, and the vulture eagle flew into the sky after eating, and the scene was extremely shocking.

More than 100 vultures on the hillside could not wait to form a long line, or hover in the sky, and finally they could not bear it anymore, and swooped down from the hillside to the fence where the corpses were kept, and the scene was very spectacular.

The celestial burial master poured the severed corpse out of the bag, and when the time came, the vultures rushed up, and within a few minutes the corpse was eaten up.

Tibetans believe that the deceased ascended to heaven smoothly, and watching the whole process of celestial burial, you will reassess the meaning of life, whether it is rich and rich, or rich and poor, it is just a passing cloud.

No matter where you are here, as long as you look up, you will always see stupas everywhere, including the highest Tibetan Buddhist pagoda in Tibet, Deng Deng Choden Pagoda, also known as the Demon Suppression Pagoda.

The tower was built in the year of the iron pig in the Tibetan calendar, and presided over the construction of the prophecy of suppressing demons and driving away evil spirits, eliminating disasters and solving problems, purifying sentient beings, and peaceful prosperity. Turning and turning, turning out the continuous Dharma, lingering in the sky at an altitude of 4 kilometers, lighting up faith.

If the red house is the shell of Seda, then the monk is the soul of Seda. The monks who practice in Seda, young and old, whether it is spring, summer, autumn or winter, rain or snow, they have an obsession in their hearts, and all the wind and frost are turned into Buddhist beads twisted on their fingertips, and the scriptures recited silently in their mouths.

Whenever the smoke of the Buddhist institute is filled in the early morning, the Tibetans also begin to bow down and turn the prayers in the mandala. On the way to Seta, there are pilgrims along the way.

This is a very magical place, since the moment you enter the door, you can feel more and more peaceful and calm, and your heart is not so impetuous. Bursts of Sanskrit sound throughout the valley, everywhere bowing and gathering in the school, the red roof is full of prayer wheels, each monk holds the prayer wheel in his hand, and recites the scriptures in his mouth......

That kind of faith is something we don't have.

One Chinese-speaking Kyaw Mu told Johnson that many of them would never marry in their lifetime, and that their only faith was here, which she had pursued all her life.

Although the living conditions here are difficult and the materials are relatively scarce, it has never affected her determination to devote herself to cultivation here.

From the 72-year-old man, down to the 9-year-old girl, and a pregnant woman who was 6 months pregnant, they all walked on the pilgrimage road without hesitation, although there were natural disasters and man-made disasters, heavy snowfall and heavy rain, rolling rocks in the mountains, water on the road, pregnant women giving birth, car accidents, and lack of materials, but they also saw their respect for life, calmness towards death, and watchfulness of faith.

Simple, simple, pure and lovely, you may not be able to understand them, but please look at other people's lifestyles with kindness. So simple, so beautiful!

It is worth the trip to get along with the monks day and night and listen to a Buddhist scripture lesson seriously. It seems that every practicing monk contains a soft power in his body, which can dissolve the violent aura of outsiders into invisibility, and make the irritable emotions of tired travelers return to comfort and indifference.

When you see the young students dancing together in the back mountain at dusk, when you are reminded by the people behind you that a corner of your clothes is dusty, when you see their happy smiling faces when they enjoy the pictures in your camera, when you are in a daze at a flower, there are passing girls who praise its beauty with you......

I can't help but sigh, it turns out that there are really some people living in such a pure way in such a place, and then you are slowly infected by this pure light, no longer withdrawn and manic, no longer sad and calculating. Only in a place like Seda can you experience the closeness of emotions between people.

Shortly after dawn or nightfall, the entire institute is immersed in a strong Buddhist atmosphere. The smoke of the cooking stove rises or the lights of thousands of homes are bright, and the sound of the meridians from far and near comes from different small houses, far away and quiet, hearing such the sound of the scriptures, the whole person is quiet, as if emptying everything, such as the spring breeze, such as smelling the sound of the sky.

Standing on the high place of the Buddhist academy and gazing at the sea of lights in front of you, between the heavens and the universe, everything has spirituality, the moon is accompanied by the stars, the flowing clouds are accompanied by the sky, the rivers are accompanied by the valleys, the mountains are accompanied by the earth, and all things live in harmony and are interdependent.

9 of the 10 friends who travel to Seda have the cute state of marmots, marmots have become the existence of Seda Internet celebrities, they are not afraid of people at all, and they are not timid, as long as you have bread and biscuits in your hands, they are like kindergarten children waiting for snacks to flock over.

Here, you may see or meet a lot of visually stimulating scenes, the boundless red bricks and tiles connected to the sky, the heavenly burial to the gods, may shock your understanding of life and ethics for a while, but these will be slowly digested by you in your future life, a good trip is not regretting to meet, Seda, can make you glad to meet!
