38.Chapter 38
The tavern was full of people.
Kate is sexy and beautiful in a QPR jersey. Ian had originally invited her to Burnley, but she had classes before, so unfortunately she couldn't make it to the show. But as soon as class was over, she dragged Abby to a tavern near the Loftus Road Stadium.
Not as excited as Kate, Abby is a little distracted, keeping her head down to message her new boyfriend, occasionally glancing up at the TV.
Ian seems to be playing well this time, and Kate keeps yelling.
Kate seems to know a little bit about football, so it's no wonder that she fell in love with Ian at first sight. Abby thought with a smile. Then when she tilted her head, she saw Pat hat-trick on TV, and he raced towards Christine and hugged her into his arms.
The fans around him have gone crazy, and the eardrums that shook from the sound hurt, if it was usual, Abby must have covered his ears a long time ago.
But at this point she stared at the screen and did not move.
This hug didn't last long. It's just that she felt that Pat's momentary love was like a volcanic eruption.
Abby poked Kate, "Did you see that hug?"
Kate, like all the QPR fans in the tavern, was still basking in the joy of winning, and didn't take the hug seriously at all. She said a few random words, and probably everyone thought like her.
What's new, as Patrick's fame grew, everyone knew that assistant coach Kristen Lu was both his friend since childhood and the bole who brought him to QPR. This hug makes sense.
Abby didn't say anything more. Maybe.
Maybe it's much more than that. The girl chuckled and congratulated herself on her early withdrawal.

Patrick's lips touched Christine's pretty neck, but for a brief moment, he moved away as if he had been electrocuted. The touch of her skin was warm and soft, and he was a little reluctant.
It's been a long time since he's hugged her. I don't know when it started, every time Tina hugged him, he was a little nervous. But it turned out that it felt so good to hug her tightly.
The team-mates have come up and the manager has come over. He had no choice but to let go of Tina.
Patrick and Nicholas shook hands and slammed each other on the shoulder.
The Spaniard said domineeringly, "Patrick, this is the table you should have!"
After kick-off again, the referee blew the whistle for the end of the game.
QPR got three points in hand, and with the final round of the league remaining, they accumulated one more point than Burnley to move into second place in the league. As long as they win Bristol City in the final round, Burnley and Middlesbrough will be promoted directly to the Premier League, regardless of their results in the final round.
It feels so good to have your destiny in your own hands. Nicholas thought as he shook hands with a gloomy Sean Dyche after the game.
After the game, Patrick Amber and Ian Parker were interviewed by Sky Sports together.
Asked how it felt to score his first hat-trick, the boy said: "It's great, of course. But most importantly, we won the game. β
The reporter looked at the pretty boy in front of him, his blue eyes sparkling, it was hard to say that he was not excited, but it seemed that as he said, he was more interested in winning the match than a hat-trick.
"Oh, everybody's curious, what were you thinking about Andre when you did that challenging celebration?"
Patrick pouted, "Quite simply, he should respect our assistant coach. β
Ian has been watching Pat amusefully from the sidelines, he is always so serious every time he gives an interview, and he can say one sentence and never two.
"Ian, your watch today is also great! you blocked Anglei's must-have goal!"
Ian was suddenly asked, a little shy, he licked his lips, lowered his head and didn't look at the camera, "Oh, that ball? I thought I had to catch up, and then I did get there, and it was amazing...... I'm thankful to the owner and the assistant coach, they have helped me a lot this season, they have trusted me and made me more confident. β
"Thank you for your time, look forward to seeing you in the Premier League next season!
****
The periphery of the QPR team bus was tightly blocked by fans.
Almost no QPR fans left, and they were all waiting for tonight's heroes.
When the players changed their clothes and came out of the dressing room, there was a sudden burst of cheers. Burnley fans passing by were angry and jealous, and at the outermost level, a few trouble-making Burnley fans almost got into a fight with QPR fans.
Ron Smith and Lu Yungui wanted to squeeze in a little.
At this time, a bald man wearing a Burnley jersey hit Lu Yungui hard.
"What the are you doing!?" Ron saw that he hurriedly stood in front of Lu Yungui and pushed the bald man, but he didn't push.
"Fucking he's in my way?!" said the bald man viciously.
Ron was not afraid of a dry fight, he picked up his sleeves and was about to go up, Lu Yungui hurriedly pulled Ron and said in broken English: "Ron, leave him alone." β
Ron hesitated, then tiptoed to look inside, it was true that he didn't have time to fight with this son of a bitch. He still wanted to talk to Amber Kid. Ron glared at the bald man and continued to squeeze in.
When Patrick Amber comes out with the ball, the song of Pat begins. He was joined by the team's assistant coach, Kristen Lue.
Lu Ling turned his head and teased the boy, "Maybe some fans will pull you over and kiss you in a while." β
Patrick stared at the assistant coach with a slight smile before looking away and saying, "Tina, if it's you, I don't mind. β
Lu Ling was startled, Pat rarely had such a flamboyant tongue, she looked at the fans with a little embarrassment, "Oh, please, Pat......" She was talking when she suddenly stopped abruptly.
Patrick realized something and followed her gaze.
Alex was with that skinny old fan, Ron!
Lu Yungui was a little restrained between the fans, and he looked at his daughter and smiled a little silly.
Lu Ling was stunned for a moment and nodded at his father. She had no idea that she would see him on such an occasion.
Patrick gave her a look, then walked over decisively and said something to the security guard. The next moment, in the surprised eyes of all QPR fans, Lu Yungui was let in by the security guards.
Lu Ling was already about to get on the bus, and when he suddenly saw this scene, he didn't know what to do.
"Alex, come back to London with us. Patrick said.
Ron shouted, "Pat, Pat, you're our hero!!"

Nicholas glanced at Lu Yungui several times, he was sitting in the last row, sandwiched between Ian and Zixiang, and the whole person was extremely tense. He didn't expect Christine's father to look like this. He heard Tom say that her father was a former Chinese international, and he originally thought that he was an image of a successful person, so he raised such an excellent daughter, and he didn't want it to be like this...... Down and out.
Christine sat next to him, seemingly unconcerned about her father.
Lu Ling also turned his head to look at Lu Yungui, he actually came to see this game. He hadn't been on the pitch for years.
"Christine, your father...... Hurt your feet?"
The assistant nodded and replied casually, "Yes, Mr. Flores." Just like you. β
Nicholas's throat moved, and then he whispered as if self-deprecating, "I see. β
"What?" Lu Ling looked over.
"Nothing. It's a pleasure to meet your father, and I think I'll have to go over and say hello in a moment. The Spaniard said with a smile.
Lu Yungui moved his buttocks, and when Nicholas walked over, Ian and Yu Zixiang took the initiative to go to the seat on the other side, so the head coach of QPR sat on his side.
Nicholas asked, he said, the atmosphere was strange, but the communication was not difficult.
One is English with a Spanish accent and the other is English with a Chinese accent, and Yu Zixiang is giggling as he listens. Patrick slapped his chest with an elbow, and he let out a wail, and his teammates in the front row looked back.
Nedham laughed and roared, "Patrick, Zixiang assisted you with a goal today, and you treat him like this, there won't be a next time." β
"Pat, did you hear what the captain said......"
There was another commotion in the car.
Lu Yungui raised his eyelids and looked inside the car, he had a similar time more than twenty years ago.
"Mr. Lu, no matter what, thank you very much...... I mean, I'm very honored to have an assistant like Christine. The Spaniards have changed their arrogant attitude and have great respect for Lu Yungui.
Patrick glanced at Yu Zixiang while arguing with him, and he could hear Nicholas's words clearly. He snorted coldly for no apparent reason. Ian got closer, probably hearing it, and cast a look full of doubt. Patrick was afraid that he would talk nonsense, so he quickly let go of Zixiang and pushed Ian's face away with his hand.
"You're such a nice guy, boss. I think my daughter must be very grateful to you for giving her the opportunity, and please teach her more in the future!" Lu Yungui's voice was not loud, and the words were very simple, but he expressed his meaning clearly and concisely. He really couldn't remember how Flores pronounced it, so he had to learn from the players to call him boss.
"Just call me Nick. The Spaniard said with a smile.
Lu Yungui's eyes widened, as if he was a little surprised, but he still nodded. He saw Xiao Ling looking back at them again, and he smiled at his daughter innocently.
Lu Ling turned her face away, she had a lot to say to her father, from a long time ago, but she knew that she would choose to be silent in the end. In that case, so be it.
There was a lot of snoring in the car, music coming from the players' headphones, and more laughter. High and low, quiet and lively.
Outside the window, it's getting dark, and it's time to get to London in a moment.
It couldn't have been a better night.
****
Later, Patrick insisted on sending Lu Yungui home, and Lu Ling had no choice but to go with him.
On the way back, Lu Ling sat in the co-pilot, holding the ball brought back by Pat, and he couldn't put it down.
"It's the first ball you'll take home. "After a hat-trick, the player will take home the match ball on the spot.
Patrick tilted his head with a smile, "Do you mean there will be a lot of them in the future?"
"Of course. But the meaning of the first one is always the most special, isn't it?" Lu Ling said and went to her bag, and then she took out a marker pen from her bag, "Mind if I write something on it?"
"Mind that. The boy deliberately kept a straight face, but couldn't hide his smile.
"Oh, Pat, it's too late. Lu Ling said as he lay on the football and wrote a sentence.
Patrick glanced closely, and what she wrote:
