In the late seventies, the state stepped up preferential treatment for the families of martyrs and military personnel. As the widow of a martyr, the old lady would receive a subsidy of about three to five yuan per month at that time, and later with the improvement of the country's economy, the subsidy fee was gradually increased. Wang Linlin remembers that the subsidy was paid quarterly, and he had to collect it with his seal. In this way, the old lady finally had her own name - Wang Yucheng.

7. Children of suffering

In order to make a living, the old lady travels all year round. Her young children can only be cared for by the village elders, and sometimes her little sister is invited to help. Wang Linlin's aunt and grandmother were only in their teens at that time. The old lady's suffering is comparable to that of Coptis chinensis, but a pair of children who lack father's love and are not taken care of by anyone are even more pitiful and miserable.

When Wang Yongqian passed by the back of the house as a child, he accidentally fell down the cliff wall. The aunt and grandmother who were in charge of the care later introduced to Wang Linlin: "Your father was covered in blood at that time, especially a large piece of scalp on the top of his head was overturned......

Who knew that this wrong move almost cost Wang Yongqian's life. And for many years to come, the wounded part of his head was still bleeding pus. After various treatments, it was not until he became an adult that his head scar healed. Although the scar is good, a new problem has appeared: there is very little hair in the scar area, so some people openly call him dysentery. Fortunately, he is open-minded by nature, and never quarrels with others because of his shortcomings, and treats it indifferently. Usually someone calls him leprosy, but he thinks that there is no malice and does not care, but if he is called leprosy again during an argument, he thinks it is an insult, so he will not let it go easily. In fact, Wang Yongqian was very handsome when he was young, otherwise the beautiful and excellent Liu Ying would definitely not marry him.

When someone called his father dysentery, Wang Linlin's sister and brother all complained about their father. They always believe that their father is strong and brave, and he is a good father worthy of respect!

After the liberation, my grandfather was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr, and there was a red plaque of "Martyrs' Home" at the door of his house. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the country was still very poor, and although it could not give material benefits to the families of martyrs, it gave it supreme honor.

At this time, both children were also of school age. Due to the poverty of the family, the old lady had to provide for the education of her two children at the same time. In the end, the strong old lady still let the two children enter the Wangci Primary School four or five miles away from home.

Unfortunately, Aunt Wang Linlin only studied for two years before returning home to engage in farming. And his father was lucky, because at that time, the state founded a primary school for the children of martyrs and military families in Chao County, the province, which was free of tuition and food expenses. When the old lady learned the news, she was both happy and reluctant, but Wang Yongqian was very happy, and everyone persuaded her, so she had to let him go.

After graduating from primary school, Wang Yongqian successfully entered the best school in the ancient city, Gucheng Middle School. He worked quite hard during his studies, and was later admitted to the Provincial Light Industry School; only when he was about to graduate, he responded to the call of the state: he joined the army with honor and became a soldier of the engineer unit of the Nanjing Military Region.

After Wang Linlin's aunt dropped out of school, she has been working as a farmer at home. Perhaps because it was too hard, my aunt was thin, short and capable. 8. Family affairs

In the old lady's handling of family affairs, there are two things that make Wang Forest remember deeply.
