Section 8 Origin of the bracelet
Speaking of the origin of this bracelet, it has to be traced back to Qin's father's life experience.
Qin's father was born into a family of declining small traders. His family has been a small stall since his ancestors. Back when his father was a child, his grandfather saw the delicate bracelet when he was buying a stall, so he kept it with him. I have not been willing to sell. Later, it was brought here.
However, the sky is unpredictable. In the year when Qin's father was three years old, a war of resistance against Japanese aggression that lasted for eight years broke out. As a result of the Kuomintang government's policy of passive resistance to the war, it was defeated one after another on various battlefields. Large swathes of the country fell under the iron heel of Japanese imperialism. Everywhere the Japanese army went, they burned, killed, looted, and did all kinds of evil. All of a sudden, corpses were everywhere, and the people were struggling to survive. Seeing that there was no way to continue the business, his parents forced the store to close, and with some gold and silver ornaments, they fled with the refugee camp into Guannai (referring to Tongguan). Later, after a lot of travel, he finally settled here. Began to return to his old business, selling some antiques and cultural relics to make a living.
In the winter of the year on the eve of the liberation of the country, one evening, his father (Qin's father) was about to close the door of the store as usual, when two young men in their thirties suddenly broke in from outside. Because it was getting late, his father claimed that it was getting late and was ready to close the shop. After listening to his (Qin's father's father), the two of them looked around secretly, and then took out several very delicate jade porcelain from their arms, claiming to be antiquities from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. I want to ask his father to do it. After listening to the words of the two, his father, out of professional habits, took out a magnifying glass and examined it. It turned out that the jade porcelain turned out to be genuine. Subsequently, after some haggling, several people closed the deal. The two men then claimed that the two of them had dug up an ancient tomb and that there were many such artifacts in it. Because of the chaotic situation, the two of them had to hide these antiquities in a cave in Magou (a village and town in Cheng's hometown in Weinan). Because they are anxious to use the money, they are in a hurry to sell. Later, the two of them showed him a few samples in front of him and asked him if he would like to buy them.
Since the two of them kept the price of the antique very low, his father found it profitable. In addition, driven by his curiosity, he (the father of Qin's father) fell into the trap of the two of them step by step under the trick of the two of them, and followed the two of them to see the 'goods'.
When the two swindlers saw that he had fallen for the trick of the two of them, they coaxed him into a remote corner of Chengche Mountain.
When he saw that it was getting late and the road was getting more and more remote, his father realized that he might have been deceived. He decided to find a way to get out of the gangster's den on his own. Thinking of this, he lied to the two of them that he didn't have enough money, and turned around and wanted to go back.
After the two gangsters saw that he had seen through the tricks of the two of them, they knew that he (the father of Qin's father) had sensed the intentions of the two of them. So he decided to show himself up, and finally revealed his true face. So the two gangsters looked around in shock, and suddenly took out two daggers from their waists with a "whoosh", blocking his way. came to him and threatened: "Old immortal thing, if you know each other, hurry up and hand over all the money on your body, Lao Tzu will spare you from death, otherwise, don't blame Lao Tzu for being unkind to you......." ”
After seeing the two gangsters suddenly take out two shiny daggers from their waists, his father couldn't help but be shocked, and finally realized that he had been deceived. So he quickly turned around and ran. As he ran, he shouted for help: "Come on, help...... catch the robbers......
However, it was too late, and the two gangsters saw him shouting incessantly, lest others find out. So he rushed to his back and stabbed him in the back, and blood immediately poured out of his back. Immediately afterward, two gangsters stabbed and slashed at him.
Facing the two vicious gangsters, Qin's father's father endured severe pain and fought tenaciously with the two gangsters, while desperately calling for help.
However, he must be alone, how can he be the opponent of two vicious gangsters. After a while, he finally collapsed in a pool of blood because he was outnumbered, and died tragically under the butcher's knife of the two gangsters.
After the two gangsters killed Qin's father's father, they robbed him of all his belongings. Then he took advantage of the darkness of the night and fled.
Because the society at that time was in turmoil, Qin's father's family reported to the government for several months, but because the murderer had been absconding, he could not be brought to justice for a while, and it became an unsolved case. It was not until after the liberation of the whole country that it came to the period of "land reform" and "suppression of counter-revolutionary movements". The two gangsters were caught because they committed another murder, and they were finally punished as they deserved.
Since his father was killed, Qin's father began to take on the burden of the family and continued to do his previous business. Later, due to the collectivization of agricultural cooperatives throughout the country, private enterprises were gradually banned. From then on, Qin's father was forced to close the store and began to look for work in some units. In the end, he gradually found the unit where Qin Yufan is now.
Later, it came to the "three-year difficult" period, due to the compulsion of life, and Qin's father reached the age of marrying a wife and having children. His mother sold most of the "gold, silver, and treasure" that his father had left behind before he was killed. Some of this money was used to survive the famine years, and some of it was used to marry a wife for her son (Qin's mother). Weitu left this pair of bracelets and some "antiques" that no one dared to buy at that time and did not sell.
After another three years, an unprecedented "social education" movement began. The "Four Qing" working group also got the news from somewhere and learned that there were some gold and silver treasures in his home. So he "invited" his mother into the team and forced her to hand over all the "treasures".
After seeing that the matter could not be concealed, his mother in order to clear her family's guilt (her mother's family was a landlord, and her mother was her father's little wife), so she handed over all the "treasures" in the family to the "work team", except for this pair of "jade bracelets" that were not handed over. (Note: The other bracelet was later handed over to Qin Yunan by Qin's mother).
After seeing that his mother had only handed over a few worthless "treasures," the "Siqing Work Team" concluded that she had not handed over all the valuable "treasures." So they invited her into the "task force" and forced her to continue to explain the problem. Later, when the "task force" went to their house again, they searched through their home, but still did not find any treasures. So, the right person at work decided that she had hidden the "treasure" privately. Later, these people put on the high hat of a "four-class" element and dragged her around the streets to criticize and fight.
In the face of the "Four Qing Task Force", Qin's father's mother was humiliated, so she committed suicide by hanging herself on a dark and windy night. On the night before she died, after she gave the pair of bracelets to Qin's father and Qin's mother, she hanged herself that night.
It's really strange to say, in the later book, the house where Qin Yunan hanged herself also happened to be the house where Qin's father's mother hanged herself in the twenty-fifth year.
