Summer in the south is a bright summer: the sky is so clear, the sun is so bright.

One day in August, I came to Shenzhen with my colleagues who worked on the education front 20 years ago. The purpose of this trip is to come to erect a monument to the heroes and models who came to Shenzhen from their hometowns during the 20 years of reform and opening up.

Interestingly, the hero of this story also gave a resounding name - summer.

Shenzhen's towering high-rise buildings, extensive transportation network, and satellite communications connecting thousands of mountains and rivers with bustling supermarkets, restaurants, shopping malls, and chain stores form a symphony of modern cities. Stepping on this land is like stepping on the horizon of the 21st century, listening to the footsteps of history and the call of the times. Being in a young and energetic city, looking at the hurried and slightly confident crowd made us anxious to meet the students of 20 years ago --- the summer of Shenzhen's economic and financial experts.

We came to the office in the summer and he gave us a warm welcome. What follows is unfettered rambling. We talk about the past, about the present, and about the future.

Summer is of medium stature, with a pair of clear and bright eyes on his stubborn and resolute face. From his gaze, it is not difficult to sense his frank, upright, confident and witty personality. He was born in April 1957 in a small mountain village in Guangdong. After graduating from elementary school, junior high school and even high school in his hometown, he returned to his hometown in 1974 to serve as a village cadre and primary school teacher. In the first college entrance examination resumed in 1977, he was admitted to Guangzhou Financial College. After graduation, he was assigned to work in the hometown and county branch of the People's Bank of China, and since then he has formed an indissoluble bond with the economy and finance. So far, it has been working hard in the economic and financial system for 20 years. Over the past 20 years, he has held the belief of "diligence, hard work, pragmatism and pioneering", and has made continuous progress, and has achieved leaps again and again in the activities of economic and financial theory and practice: he was accepted as a member of Guangdong Urban Finance Society in 1987; In 1993, he was admitted as a member of Shenzhen Audit Society; In December 1996, he was admitted as a member of the Shenzhen Federation of Engineers and became a member of Shenzhen Economic and Financial Experts. From 1980 to 1999, his essays, economic activity analysis, management system and other articles were published in economic and financial professional magazines and newspapers at all levels and adopted by relevant units for 320,000 words. On the step of success, Summer climbed up step by step, used his own practice to show the brilliance of his youth, to prove his life value, and walked out of an ordinary and brilliant life course.

In January 1980, just after graduating from Guangzhou Finance College, he was arranged to work in the ×× branch of People's Bank of China (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China). He has successively worked in professional positions in the bank, such as the person in charge of credit of the sub-branch, the head of the business comprehensive department (head of the human resources department), and the legal representative of the ×× Economic Information Consulting Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

During the eleven years of working in the county, his most outstanding characteristics are: willing to learn, solid and diligent. I love to use my brain and think diligently. In work practice, he is good at accepting new things and strives to improve in learning. In order to enrich his language and literature literacy, he obtained a diploma in Chinese language and literature from Sun Yat-sen University in 1986, which laid a more solid foundation for his financial theory research. In his work, he often went to the front line, went to factories, construction sites and other grassroots to obtain first-hand materials, and helped leaders solve many complex and difficult problems in bank credit, business integration, research information and other aspects. He applied the professional theories of system economics that he had mastered to skillfully implement the party's line, principles, policies, and systems. In addition to actively doing a good job in organizing the work, he also personally wrote some high-quality papers, which were published in financial journals at or above the provincial and municipal levels, and participated in three provincial economic and financial theory seminars with the papers as "tickets". In addition, it has also made positive contributions to the development of financial education and the cultivation of talents.

During his 11 years of work in the county, Comrade Xia submitted 275,000 words of papers and materials. It has been published in national, provincial and municipal journals with 65 articles (times) and 170,000 words. In September 1984, his article on > was read and recommended for publication by Professor Wang Weimin, a well-known financial educator and national model worker. From October to December 1983, he was responsible for compiling the textbook >Chapter 4> handouts in response to the division of labor in the credit teacher training class of the Guangdong Provincial Financial Cadre School, which was highly praised by the Provincial People's Bank of China and the senior professors and seminar personnel of the university. Subsequently, he was hired as a visiting teacher at Guangzhou College of Finance and Foshan Banking School of ×× Bank of China. In 1984, Guangzhou Finance College opened a correspondence course in × City, and entrusted Xia Xia to serve as the person in charge. During this period, with his rich knowledge of economics and finance, combined with his own business practice and the characteristics of in-service cadres, he personally taught courses such as >, >, >, and > in simple terms, with a total of 350 class hours. All students passed the exams, making a positive contribution to the development of qualified financial personnel.

Summer's unremitting efforts on the road of growth have been affirmed by organizations and society at all levels many times: in 1983, he was awarded the title of "Advanced Worker of the Financial and Trade Front" by the County People's Government; In 1982 and 1985, he was awarded the title of "Financial Red Flag Bearer" at the city and county levels at the same time, and in 1986, he was rated as the "Advanced Individual in Research and Information" by the city. In 1988 and 1989, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) ××Economic Information Consulting Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China was rated as an advanced unit at the provincial, municipal and county levels.

In the early nineties, the clarion call for the construction of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone summoned summer to Shenzhen. He first served as Deputy Director of the Enterprise Management Department (presiding over the work), and concurrently served as the Deputy Director of the Audit Department (presiding over the work) and the Deputy Director of the Industrial Development Department in a first-tier company in Shenzhen, and later served as the Director of the Audit Department. In April 1994, he was appointed as the credit manager of Shenzhen Hubei Financial Services Co., Ltd., and after the restructuring, he served as the chief of the planning and credit section and the director of the capital and credit department of the Hubei branch of Shenzhen Minbank.

Shenzhen, China's emerging immigrant city, is the forefront of China's reform and opening up, a testing ground for China's modernization, and a place where many people seek their dreams. It's a place of opportunity and challenge, and it's full of talent and competition. In the face of the new environment, Summer firmly believes that with his profound economic and financial knowledge and persistent enterprising spirit, he will be able to achieve new success. He adapts to the fast pace of Shenzhen as soon as possible in his work and life, and is more devoted to the study and research of economic and financial theories. He devoted his spare time to studying. On quiet moonlit nights, when people are asleep, he thinks it's time for quick thinking and inspiration to learn and write. In the constantly updated ocean of knowledge, he seems to be an explorer who has broken into the green state from the wasteland, hungry for knowledge and nutrients. As the ancient poem says: "Insist that the green mountains are not relaxed, and the roots are in the broken rocks; ”

Because of this, summer quickly took root in Shenzhen. His solid, meticulous, rigorous and pragmatic work style and profound knowledge foundation, as well as the results he has achieved, are praised by leaders and colleagues. Here are two examples: First, from June to July 1992, as the head of the enterprise management department of the head office, when he went to the subordinate enterprises to investigate, he found that the fixed staff mechanism of the enterprise was not perfect, and the workers were willing to work and slack off when the power supply was abnormal. On the premise of obtaining the support of the company's leaders, he went to the two factories directly under him to measure the working frequency of hydraulic presses, lathes, planers and other equipment and the flow time limit of products, and compiled the > of the two factories and organized their implementation. This move quickly improved the production efficiency and economic benefits of the two enterprises, which was praised by the whole company and also made a strong contribution to his work in Shenzhen. Second, in April 1994, when he took up his post at Shenzhen Hubei Financial Services Co., Ltd., the agency set up three credit departments in parallel, which meant a competition mechanism. With the ideology and belief that "there is no best, only better", he launched healthy competition among his colleagues, and soon stood out and became an important backbone of the society and even after its transformation into a citizen bank, solving many complex business problems for the leaders. He has been supported and supported by colleagues in the industry for a long time.

Whether it is in the daily management and evaluation of enterprises, or in various academic activities organized by such as the Shenzhen Audit Society, the Federation of Engineers and economic experts, Summer has won people's respect for his unique views on problems. During his time in Shenzhen, he mainly wrote some applied articles adapted to business management. In 1993, he was awarded the title of "Shenzhen Advanced Auditing Worker" by the municipal government; in 1996-1997 and 1999, he was commended as an outstanding Communist Party member by the Shenzhen Minmin Bank; and in 1998, he was commended as an advanced worker by the Shenzhen Minmin Bank.

Shenzhen is a city full of challenges and opportunities. As a Shenzhen person, we must not only overcome ourselves and maintain the mentality of taking the initiative to attack, but also have the courage to meet new challenges one after another. When this article was finalized, I learned that Summer had set her sights on a new goal: to take up a new position.
