Notes: Part two
Sugar is sweet.
Anyone who has tasted the taste of sugar is convinced of it. Even, some people have already begun to feel that their mouths are full of sweetness just by seeing characters like sugar.
Different from bitterness, there are many people who like sweetness, and in the things described by the writer, they always use sweet, sweet, and other words with flavors to describe the good side, and cruel words such as bitterness and pain to describe the bad side, so that after contrasting, people will become more and more eager to pursue those things with sweetness—or things, correspondingly, they will become more disgusted and hated with bitter things.
Personally, like most people, I like sweetness.
As for the reason, I can't remember exactly why I like sweet things .. Now, if I had to find a reasonable explanation for this preference, it would probably be that after tasting all kinds of flavors, such as sweet and sour, I eliminated the flavors that I didn't like, and finally found that only sweetness remained. I don't want to go any further.
But the sweetness I love is only expressed in things, and it is completely different from the sweet things written in the book—I can say that I can't find anything in common at all.
I love cakes covered in cream, but I hate sharing them with people outside of my family, I like to be alone in the corner eating chocolate chip cookies, and I like to drink MAX when I'm alone, and I enjoy my own snack time in the family restaurant. All in all, I just like to fill my mouth with that taste, not the kind that I am willing to share with others, of course, it is not out of selfishness or exclusive desire or anything like that, but simply the feeling of wanting to be alone somewhere and enjoy the sweetness.
So, apart from the sweetness of food, I don't have the luxury of expecting anything in my life to be associated with "sweetness", which sounds cruel but is also true.
Reality is reality because it is often not as perfect as one thinks. And imagination is imagination precisely because it is always the opposite of reality.
Perhaps, there are some lucky people who can make one of their many imaginations come true in some periods of time, through some coincidences or accidents, efforts and other factors, such a thing is certainly worth rejoicing, but it is obvious that the vast majority of people are not in the category of "lucky people", after experiencing dream imagination, vision for the future and life planning, and then face all kinds of ups and downs in reality and finally fall and can't get up again, in this world is the majority... Cruel but true, this is the main body of this world, and the most taste that most people in this world can taste is bitterness.
The sweetness is always short-lived, while the bitterness is very long.
... Even so, there are still people who pursue that brief moment in a reality full of bitterness—a short, fleeting sweet moment.
I've seen and heard of such people, but in general, they can only be regarded as a minority, and I also clearly know that I can't do that level of effort, of course, for the sweet things in life, of course, I have a liking attitude, but I won't deliberately change my actions or habits to pursue those things, in my opinion, recognizing reality and living in the moment is the most important thing. Instead of chasing those ethereal things, try to get used to this bitter world slowly.
Therefore, I neither pursue nor desire sweetness other than food, but rather look at it from a third-party perspective. There may be an occasional moment of longing or... Jealous, but not because of this, I will not make any changes and actions, I am still me.
Learning how to control oneself is an important skill to survive in this world. I don't want to cause irreparable consequences because of the impulse, and I don't want to be a person who is controlled by emotions.
Because, no matter what kind of feelings you want to change your actions at will, in the end, it will eventually bring the bitterness of remorse, and those who can face all this calmly are just burying that bitterness in their hearts. At some point, when the bitter taste buried in the bottom of the heart bursts out, what more delicious taste than the bitter taste will be produced?
I don't know.
But the only thing that is certain is that in order to obtain sweetness, there must be a price corresponding to or above it, and after the sweetness has dissipated, there must be a lingering bitterness.
