Section 297 Ancient Temple Tea Tasting

We walked along the crystal clear Peach Blossom Creek, happily walked forward, walked and walked, suddenly saw an antique temple appeared in front of us, everyone hurriedly looked for a hot spring, found a little tired, so strode into the meteor to rest for a while, only to see the antique inside, simple and open, there is a corridor outside.

There is a mountain gate in front, a hall in the middle, and a monk's house in the back. Quiet and chic, the surrounding peaks are towering, the ancient trees are verdant, quiet and elegant, the incense is prosperous, the green smoke is curling, the scale is large, there are the Daxiong Treasure Palace, the Luohan Hall, Tibetan scripture pavilion, inside the wearing of a yellow robe of an old monk warmly welcomed us, but also took out the best Huangshan local tea let us taste tea in the green mountains and green waters, is really relaxed, leisurely, happy, the turquoise tea floats in the steaming, crystal clear spring water, ups and downs, one after another, is really pleasing to the eye, like a leaf field of lotus leaves floating in the water in general, beautiful, poetic, everyone together with the beautiful drink of Huangshan green tea, while happily chatting, the amiable old monk smiled to us to introduce the history here, Huangshan once had four major jungles of Buddhism, namely: Yungu Temple, Ciguang Pavilion, Cuiwei Temple, Xiangfu Temple, Cuiwei Temple is one of them, and this temple has a long history, a long history, it was built in the third year of Tang Zhonghe (883).

At that time, one day, the monk Zhu (ancient India) Mai went down from Sichuan to Huangshan, settled here, sat down and chanted.

The local mountain people built a temple for it, which is called Mai Dojo. In the fifth year of the Southern Tang Dynasty (947), Li Jing gave the temple amount of Cuiwei Temple, and the temple was also renamed.

Near the temple, there are Mai Cave, Maitai, Tin Stick Spring, Mai Pagoda and so on related to Mai monks. Mai Cave is the stone cave where he first lived, Mai Terrace is the stone platform where he recites the Buddha's name, Tin Stick Spring is said to be the spring that springs up to the ground with a tin rod, and Mai Pagoda is his relics pagoda.

However, their Huangshan Cuiwei Temple is well-known in China, and few people know about it. However, it is very famous in India and Myanmar.

Its founder is a high monk from ancient India, named Bao Xilai, commonly known as Mai Monk.

About 800 A.D., the ancient Indian monk Bao Xi came to enter China, from Sichuan Province to the east, traveled to the famous mountains and rivers in China, and came to Huangshan in the second year of Tang Wenzong (828 A.D.), and was amazed by the magical scenery here.

Then he settled in a natural cave in the Cuiwei Peak in the West Sea of the Yellow Mountain. That is to say: this place is the land of the Buddha, concentrate on practicing here, usually he sits in the cave and recites the Buddha, and holds a tin staff to dig fern roots on the mountain and pick wild fruits.

He also often recites Buddhist scriptures on the stone platform in front of the cave, with his hands folded. A few months later, it was discovered by a local woodcutter.

A mountain man surnamed Hong proposed to build a temple for this foreign monk, and took the lead in donating the land in front of Cuiwei Temple as a temple site.

The Hong family responded to every call, had money to contribute, had strength, and quickly built the Buddhist temple.

So this monk who came from thousands of miles away presided over the incense in the temple. And the mountain people didn't know his Dharma name, but saw that he didn't wear silk all year round, but made linen clothes, so they called him the ancestor of linen.

They do Buddhist things, and the ashram is called Mai Dojo. Just after the Mai Patriarch and the people of Huangshan lived in harmony, Tang Wuzong suddenly issued a decree to destroy the Buddha's Taoism, and ordered the Mai Patriarch to close the temple door, stop the Buddhist affairs, and leave China immediately.

In the face of the persecutive officials, the monk Bao Xilai angrily picked up his pen and waved a poem on the wall of the main hall: The edict is like thunder, and the Buddha weeps and takes off his linen clothes;

After the officials read it, they thought that it was a great rebellion, so they copied the poem and reported it to the imperial court, and ordered Bao Xilai not to leave without permission and wait for it to be released.

How do you know that this poem was sent to the emperor, but the emperor was amazed by the Indian monk who can be proficient in Chinese and is good at composing poetry, and then ordered to stop the drive, and quoted the story in the history of Indian Buddhism, and personally made a poem to comfort him.

Meaning: In the history of India, there was an immortal monk named Ninja, who was meditating under the Bodhi tree and meditating under the Bodhi tree, and his limbs were cut off by King Gohli.

My Tang Dynasty didn't do such a thing, just told you to stop doing the dojo, is it still worth being sad?

The emperor's poems were euphemistic and peaceful, which moved the Mai patriarch, and he settled down in the temple. In the 5th year of the Southern Tang Dynasty (947 AD), the emperor of the dynasty gave the door plaque of Cuiwei Temple, and the temple was officially named Cuiwei Temple.

Mai patriarch Bao Xilai practiced until he was more than 100 years old before he died. After his death, the local people built a tower for him to bury him at the western foot of the Yellow Mountain.

This tower is one of the eight towers of ancient Yellow Mountain. The old monk also told us that there are Cuiwei Cave, Qingniu Creek, Exploration Stone, Cassock and other scenic spots around the temple, if we are interested, we can take a look by the way, he also told us that the hot spring is not far from the south bank of Peach Blossom Creek in front, and we arrived when we saw the Xiangfu Temple close at hand.

After thanking the old monk, we continued to walk. Sure enough, it didn't take long for us to see the Xiangfu Temple that the old monk said, it was really - barefoot in the purple forest, looking at the blue sky at the White Dragon Pond;

What year and what day to ride the Luan crane, step on the Tiandu Peak and go to the clouds;

The hot springs we've been waiting for have finally arrived.
