At present, the west bank of Xishan Island is mainly built Hengyang Shipyard, but the future shipbuilding and offshore industrial park is planned in the reclamation area that has not yet become land.

In the future, a sea-crossing bridge will be built directly between Xishan Island and the central port area, and it will be connected to Zhonggang Avenue, one of the horizontal arterial roads of Xinpu.

On the west side of Zhuma Mountain, that is, to the north of the east area of Lingang New Town, is the factory area of six large light industry enterprises such as the International Home Textile and Light Industry Industrial Park and Ziluo Home Textiles, which have entered the final stage of construction.

In terms of the absolute number of enterprises in the Xinpu Industrial Planning Zone, there is no way to compare with several industrial parks in Pingjiang City, on the other side of the Zhujiang River, but several key projects not only pull up the local finance, but also pull out the framework for the future development of petrochemical, steel, shipbuilding and marine industry clusters in Xinpu Port - in addition to these, Xinpu Port will also be the most important and core transit port for Huai Coal to the east in the future.

At least in terms of development potential, Shen Huai believes that Xinpu Port has already secured the top spot along the coastline of more than 1,000 kilometers of Huai Bay.
