That's why the beginning of the Demon Sutra says that all living beings are dogs. Everyone is born a lackey of desire, bound by a moral dog chain, and imprisoned by the Great Dao.

The second half of the Demon Sutra is to teach the Dharma, annihilate desires, destroy morality, cut off shackles, and transcend the law.
