Chapter 11: The Forgotten Story
Sayuri's resolute attitude was not what Hugo expected, although the two had not been dating for a long time, but Sayuri's angular personality also had some understanding.
Hugo said, "After all that has been said, are you still unwilling to tell me about Thirteen?"
Sayuri looked at the ceiling with soft eyes and muttered, "It's been too long, and a lot of it has been forgotten..."
Hugo sneered: "Can you help me recover my memory, but can't I do nothing?"
Sayuri said: "Those who heal people can't heal themselves, and they don't want to think about many things." With that, Sayuri turned her head to look at Hugo and said, "Aren't you in pain after recovering all your memories?"
A fierce gaze flashed in Hugo's eyes, and at the same time, it was mixed with infinite sadness.
"That's my responsibility..."
Sayuri smiled foolishly: "Responsibility? You take everything on yourself, isn't it a little too pretentious." β
Sayuri moved her body and said to Hugo: "When you gained the ability for the second time, you began to feel that you were burdened with the responsibility given by fate, but I have to say that this is just your wishful thinking. β
"You don't have that many spectators in this world, and you don't have so many unnecessary responsibilities. β
Hugo said: "Responsibility is only borne by the individual's consciousness, how much can the law restrain in our cognitive world?"
Hugo glanced out the window and said, "The reason why humans are reluctant to accommodate the blasphemer is because they have the property of breaking the existing rules. And the blasphemers are so complacent with this trait that they are never able to truly integrate into society. β
Sayuri said: "The analysis is very profound. β
Hugo said: "In any case, the desecrator is born from the transformation of human beings, and the desecrate cannot get rid of human characteristics, as long as they do not live in the new Victorian era, they need to eat and drink." And humanity can be independent without the blasphemers, not the opposite. β
Sayuri said: "Your idea is very non-mainstream. β
Hugo said: "I think my three views are still very correct, unlike TAROT's eyes on no one and different from Nightingale's radical ideas, peaceful coexistence is undoubtedly the best choice." β
Sayuri said: "You can consider becoming a 'New Human Peace Ambassador', and the heavy task of peace between humans and the desecrators in the future will be entrusted to you." β
Hugo said: "This kind of cool talk has no value, I hope to hear more useful information from your mouth." β
Sayuri said: "You brought up these topics. β
Hugo suddenly said, "You killed me in the rain alley, so that I could regain the power of Tritogrea's stone carving. That power... Did you give it to me?"
Sayuri suddenly smiled and looked up at Hugo and said, "Do you think I'm like that?"
Hugo stared at Sayuri silently.
Sayuri said: "First of all, when I killed you that day, my subjective consciousness was not strong, or it was not me who controlled my body. And I don't have a hobby of killing someone and then resurrecting it, and more importantly... I don't have that ability. β
Hugo was stunned when he heard this, and looked at Sayuri with a bewildered face.
Sayuri said, "I gained the Blasphemy ability from merging with Thirteen's soul, and at that time our strength was at its peak, so to speak, we were a moving Tritoglaia Stone Monument. β
"But it didn't last long, as Thirteen quickly began to carry on her promise to you. β
Hugo said: "Blasphemers?"
Sayuri nodded.
"And after that?"
Sayuri said: "Our strength is starting to weaken, and you must know that even the powerful power of Tritogramia Stone Carvings will weaken after giving others abilities, and they cannot be restored. β
Hugo said: "Is it for this reason that you finally separated?" β
Sayuri said, "Maybe, but I don't remember it clearly." β
"Sayuri!" exasperated Hugo shouted in a deep voice.
Sayuri revealed a kind of coquettish scoundrel unique to girls and said: "My body is still recovering, and if I receive any strong stimulation, the situation will get worse." β
Hugo's eyes burst into flames with anger.
Hugo got up and went straight to Sayuri's bedside, stretched out his arm to press Sayuri's ear, and pressed his face down to Sayuri in a rather oppressive posture, which made the confrontation between the two seem very ambiguous.
Hugo said: "I don't care what you are thinking about now, but don't play those useless tricks with me, I have lost too many things now, but in your hands I have what I need! I don't care if your memory is confused or not, all I want is a true answer!"
Sayuri and Hugo, who was close to her, had a smile on her face.
"You know what? You're crazy right now. β
Sayuri craned her neck, and before Hugo could react, the tip of her nose touched the tip of Sayuri's nose.
Hugo felt a delicate coldness on the tip of his nose for a moment, and the inexplicable electric current made Hugo feel a thrill.
Sayuri smiled and said, "ZERO, DO YOU KNOW? YOU REALLY LOOK LIKE A PAPER TIGER RIGHT NOW." β
Hugo's threat had no effect on Sayuri, and Sayuri's exhalation of Hugo's former name was a sign of her attitude.
No matter what Hugo becomes, he is just the ZERO of the past in Sayuri's eyes.
Just when Hugo was frustrated by his powerlessness, Sayuri said, "Since you are so obsessed, I will give you a direction." β
Hugo was stunned for a moment, and then he realized that he was like a naΓ―ve white mouse, and his actions, including many overreactions, were expected by Sayuri, and Hugo's actions were most likely within Sayuri's plan, and the so-called direction should have been designed in advance. In Sayuri's eyes, he is just a paper tiger, and a real tiger can strategize even if he is lying on a hospital bed.
Even so, Hugo was desperate to know the information Sayuri had given.
Sayuri said: "I don't know if you have thought about a question, in the later experimental process of the Welfare Institute Research Institute, except for the staff who presided over the experiment, there are not many real experimental subjects left, and the core characters are only you and Thirteen, don't you feel any puzzled about this?"
Hugo still looked at Sayuri after hearing this, his eyes full of puzzlement.
Sayuri smiled, "Haven't you ever considered Thirteen's origins?"
