Chapter Seventy-Five: First Encounter with a Dementor
Evan staggered back to his room, and secretly warned himself in his heart that he should be careful in the future, his Animagus form is a black cat, and he must not let Hermione know, otherwise he is simply looking for the rhythm of death.
There was a commotion in the next room, Percy's boys' student council president badge was missing, and he suspected that Ron had hidden it, and the two of them were in a fight. In fact, when Evan went upstairs, he saw that it was Fred and George who had taken Percy's badge and changed it to Big Head Boy.
He rolled over and looked at the dimly lit ceiling, his thoughts drifting farther and farther away.
The next morning, Evan got up and dressed and went downstairs for breakfast, while everyone else was up. There, Mr. Weasley read the front page of the Daily Prophet, his brows furrowed, and Mrs. Weasley and Ginny talked about a potion they had made as a child.
Evan walked over to his place and sat down, and he hurriedly turned his head when he heard Hermione next to him talking to Old Tom about cats.
To his left, Ron was complaining to Harry about Percy with an annoyed expression.
"The faster we get on the train, the better!" said Ron, "at least I can live at Hogwarts without Percy." He was accusing me of dripping tea on a picture of his girlfriend Penelope, who had hidden her face under the picture frame because her nose was covered in stains. ”
Harry tried to convince Ron, but Fred and George, who were sitting across from him, were delighted, smirking and congratulating Ron on having succeeded in making Percy angry again.
Percy was further irritated by the laughter of the two men, who looked at them angrily, then finished his breakfast as fast as he could, and took his things outside the bar.
There was a lot of hectic and chaos ensuing, everyone was scrambling to carry the salute to the Ministry of Magic's car, and Evan saw Mr. Weasley call Harry to a corner where no one was around, and the two of them didn't know what to say, and Harry came out with a very bad face.
Hermione was still looking for the black cat from last night, and Evan hurried forward to help her carry her luggage, and Crookshan was in a small wicker basket, purring noisily.
Hearing this voice, Ron subconsciously clutched his chest and ducked away.
The journey to King's Cross Station was an incidental one, and when they arrived, twenty minutes before the train, the Ministry of Magic driver helped them find the cart they were using to push the Lee, unloaded their boxes, touched Mr. Weasley's hand on the brim of his hat, and drove off.
As they made their way through Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, Aven's first time here, he looked around curiously, the platform was full of witches and witches sending their children on the train, and an old-fashioned scarlet steam locomotive was spewing smoke from the tracks.
This gave him the feeling of being inverted in time and space, back to the era of great steam.
They walked onto the train, past the full carriages, and at the sight of an empty carriage, where Mr. Weasley helped them put the boxes on.
Then everyone stepped off the train and said goodbye to the Weasleys, who kissed each of the children goodbye and Mr. Weasley still whispered to Harry.
Harry's face was confused and uneasy, and when the train started, he whispered to Ron and Hermione, "I need to talk to you privately!"
"Go away, Ginny!" Ron waved his hand.
"Oh, that's good. Ginny said haughtily and walked away, and Evan was stunned for a moment and followed.
"Aven, you don't have to"
"You talk first, I'll go say hello to everyone, and I'll be back soon. ”
Evan didn't pause, he knew what Harry was going to say, but he had his own plan, and if it went well, it would be easy to solve this year's events, Peter Pettigrew would be much easier to deal with than Tom Riddle.
He followed Ginny to a carriage near the end, where Colin and Neville were sitting and the two of them said hello and walked in.
Colin excitedly told them about his summer life in the countryside, and the Hogwarts Express train drove steadily north, and the scenery outside the window became more and more wild and dark.
After knowing that Evan was sitting here, people kept coming to this carriage to say hello.
Most of them are Hogwarts Wizards and wizards, and everyone wants to know the aftermath of Evan's book "Me and the Basilisk at Hogwarts". After a while, Luna also came over, and she stuffed Aven with a copy of "Singing Contrarian", saying that it had the latest scimitar-horned snoring article on it.
Although Evan has repeatedly euphemistically stated that he is not interested in scimitar snorkels and bubble snots, Luna still gives him a copy of each issue of "Singing and Singing" for the entire holiday.
A few people were bored flipping through "Singing and Singing", and the sky outside was getting darker and darker.
After a while, it began to rain, and the outline of the rolling hills outside the window blurred.
The carriage door was opened again, and three undesirable men entered, and Malfoy entered, followed by two of his henchmen: Goyle and Crabbe.
They seemed to have just been to Harry's carriage, and as soon as Malfoy came in, he said in his lazy and prolonged tone, "Mudbloods, why didn't you sit with Potter?"
"It's none of your business!" Evan whispered, Neville, Colin, and Ginny looking up nervously.
"Potter has abandoned you, he must have had enough of you and your stupid newspaper. As soon as Malfoy finished speaking, Goyle and Crabbe burst into laughter.
"Get out, you're not welcome here!" cried Ginny.
"Did you hear Ginny?!" Evan said, drawing his wand and squinting, "Or rather, you want to test out my newfound spells during the holidays." ”
"Watch the tone of your voice, mudbloods, or you're this year"
He was interrupted before Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked in.
"Get out of here, Malfoy!" shouted Ron as he entered, "we don't have time to listen to your nonsense, and we're here to fight if we want to." ”
Malfoy hesitated, as if seeing that his side was not superior in numbers, he involuntarily took a step back.
At that moment, the train suddenly shook and stopped.
Inside the carriage, all the lights suddenly went out, and they were thrown into complete darkness.
"Damn, what the hell is going on?"
Evan heard Malfoy screaming, and people kept walking back and forth outside the carriage.
"Fluorescent flickering!" he whispered, his wand glowing.
The faint fluorescence on the tip of the wand was not at all pleasant, I don't know if it was an illusion, the color of the light was getting colder and darker, and everyone felt as if they were entering a cold storage, and everything around them was rapidly frozen.
There was a strange noise outside the carriage, something was approaching, and Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe hurriedly leaned into the carriage.
The door slowly opened, and Evan could feel Hermione, standing beside her, holding her arm tightly, her body trembling slightly.
He patted Hermione lightly on the shoulder, which reassured the little girl a little.
The door was fully opened, and standing in the doorway, illuminated by the swaying fluorescent light in Aven's hands, was a cloaked, ceiling-high monster.
Its face was completely hidden under its turban, and a hand protruded from its cloak, which shimmered, gray, thin, and crusted, as if something had died, soaked in water, and rotted.
The monster under the cloak seemed to feel the gaze of several people, and the hand suddenly shrank into the folds of the black cloak. Then, something beneath the turban, whatever it was, took a breath, long, slow, and trembling, as if trying to suck something other than air from the surroundings.
Several children in the carriage screamed, but their voices were very muffled, as if they were coming from far away.
Evan tightened his wand tightened in his hand, it was a Dementor!
