Prologue (III) - 10 Ships engulfed in fire
"What's going on...... That ship...... It's on fire......" Fleet Commander Teresarini looked over there anxiously.
The soldiers on the burning ship began to shout and flee into the water in a hurry—some of them even had flames on them!
"Quick, let's send the dinghy to them!" said the fleet commander Teresarini at once to the sailors on the ship.
"Understood!" the sailors immediately began to act.
......
Soon, on the surface of the sea not far behind the side, black billowing smoke had enveloped the bright flames below.
And the whole large catapult dhow sailing ship only exposed a small part of the bow.
The entire ship over there was engulfed in flames!
Almost before the engagement, a large combat ship was lost directly in the fire.
The destruction of the ship took a big toll on the other sailors - and the morale of the soldiers was weakened a lot.
The speed of the two archers began to slow down noticeably.
"Don't slow down, please......" Fleet Commander Teresarini was also anxious - the only way to gain some combat advantage now was to get more ships into attack range as quickly as possible.
However, there was nothing Theresarius could do about it.
Fortunately, the speed of other ships has not decreased much.
Soon, another large catapult dhow was already in official attack position!
Teresarini seemed to see a glimmer of hope, and his anxiety was slightly lessened.
"That's right! Attack!" said Fleet Commander Theresarini, looking at the large catapult dhow not far behind.
Soon, the ship threw the first set of fire-burning clay pots.
It's a pity that this group of fire-burning clay pots just smashed into the sea.
"Damn...... missed......" said Teresarini, clenching his fists, "That's all there is to it! Let all the ships charge, and attack at a close distance!"
As soon as Telesarini finished speaking, all of a sudden, a projectile of the other party, whistling, flew quickly close to the side of the command ship!
With a "poof", the projectile was not far behind, slamming into the sea.
Teresarini was startled, he took a deep breath and looked around nervously.
"Sir, do you want to think about ......" The adjutant on the side was also frightened, and he asked Teresarini in a trembling voice, "Is it...... Now it's better to fight back while retreating?......"
"No! we can't retreat!" said Teresarini, shaking his head, and then he said firmly, "where else can we retreat, behind us is what we have to protect! If we retreat, we will be driven into the narrow dock by them!
The boat continued towards the two galleys and approached with the boat.
The opponent made another round of attacks.
This time, the projectile focused on one of your own scorpion sloops.
Suddenly, the hull was punched out of the gap!
"Sir, the ship is ...... too," the adjutant said anxiously to Telesarini, looking over there.
Not far away, the sea began to pour rapidly into the scorpion sloop that had been hit.
......
The battle continued, and amid the loud noises on the opposing ships, the first fleet here began to lose its combat superiority!
"Sir, look at the back!" the adjutant said suddenly.
"It's them, they're here to support us!" said Teresarini.
The other two fleets began to move quickly towards this side, rushing to support!
"Sir, there's bad news!" the adjutant said, looking ahead and feeling a little nervous.
