Chapter 889 Installing the Phone 2

1.

Xu Danguo did not break his promise, after having breakfast early in the morning of September 25, Xu Dan took out 1,700 yuan and handed it to Spring, and asked Spring to go to the Hushan Town Telephone Bureau first to pay the initial installation fee of 1,500 yuan for the program-controlled telephone, and the remaining 200 yuan was for Spring to entertain. Although Xu Dan didn't understand what the men were doing at the wine table, Xu Dan also knew that the current society had to do something, and it was really not good to leave the hospitality and gifts.

Spring put the money in his pocket and happily rode his motorcycle to the telephone office on the street.

Looking at the excitement on Spring's face, Xu Dan couldn't help but shake his head and sighed softly.

To tell the truth, Xu Dan was really distressed when he took out the 1,700 yuan. What is the situation at home now Xu Dan knows best in his heart, his business is gone, he will lose the way to make money, and in the spring, he is like a child who will never grow up, he only knows how to spend money every day and does not know how to save money to support his family, these days the family's expenses are all the thousands of dollars accumulated when doing business on weekdays, looking at the dwindling savings, Xu Dan is also anxious. However, at this juncture, Xu Dan understood that having a phone at home would be of great help to Spring's work and life, so although he felt sorry for the money, Xu Dan still happily agreed to take the money to install a program-controlled phone at home. For this man who is one year younger than himself, Xu Dan has always been accommodating to everything, and he doesn't want to be wronged in the spring.

The telephone office of Hushan Town is located on the street of Hushan Town, close to the newly built rural credit cooperative, with only a row of eight houses and a small courtyard, the house is still a building in the fifties, and the incomplete quotations of Chairman Mao can be seen in the gable of the house, which reveals the vicissitudes of the years in the mottled area.

On both sides of the two large iron gates that are rusty are two long wooden signs: "Huxian Hushan Town Telephone Bureau" and "Huxian Hushan Town Post Office". Due to the passage of time, some of the black lacquer handwriting on the two wooden signs has become blurred, and if it were not for the huge green post box standing on the side of the gate, those who are not familiar with it really do not know that this is the post office and telephone office of Toyama Town.

Speaking of the telephone bureau, let's first take a look at the historical development and changes of the telephone bureau in Hushan Town.

Hushan Town Telephone Bureau and Hushan Town Post Office were established in 1950, that is, the second year after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the initial names of the establishment were "Hushan People's Commune Telephone Bureau" and "Hushan People's Commune Post Office". The telephone office and the post office are co-located, with a director, two counter service staff, two postmen, and two switchboard transfers.

The earliest telephone exchange installed by the Hushan Town Telephone Bureau was a magnet telephone exchange. The main feature of this type of telephone exchange is that the battery is installed in the vicinity of each telephone, and the user and the operator use a hand-cranked generator to ring to call each other. The magnet telephone exchange is equipped with user plug holes, user number plates, end-of-call ringback plates, plug ropes for wiring, electric keys for answering ringing and hand-cranked generators. When the user makes a call, he must first shake the generator on the telephone so that the number plate on the switch "drops". The operator then takes a plug rope, inserts the plug hole of the user who dropped the number plate with the promise plug at one end, and pulls the corresponding electric key to answer; after asking the desired number, inserts the call plug at the other end of the plug rope into the plug hole of the called user. Then pull the electric button to the ringing position, and shake the generator to make the called user's phone ring. When the called user hears the bell rings and answers off-hook, the operator restores the electric key, and the two parties can talk. When the user finishes the call, he must shake the generator to make the ringback plate on the switch fall, so as to notify the operator to remove the cable.

The magnet telephone exchange is simple in structure, easy to produce, low in price, and can work with dry batteries; the disadvantage is that the capacity is small, the use is inconvenient, and it is only suitable for the area where the traffic is not busy and there are not many users.

This magnet telephone exchange was installed in the town of Toyama from 1950 until 1992, when the mission of the magnet telephone exchange was terminated. In the spring, in 1991, when I first went to the Toyama Town Telephone Bureau to call the homeroom teacher of the high school, I used this magnet telephone exchange system.

With the upgrading of the communication industry, in March 1992, the magnet telephone exchange system completed its historical mission of more than 40 years in Hushan Town and withdrew from the communication market in Hushan Town. Instead of the magnet telephone exchange system, the model is HJ921 type of vertical and horizontal telephone exchange.

This HJ921 type is a vertical and horizontal telephone exchange, which consists of a vertical and horizontal connector and an automatic telephone exchange that controls the equipment. Its main feature is to adopt the way of separating the two functions of switching and control, and use the multi-frequency mutual control signal as the inter-office signal of the vertical and horizontal telephone office.

The trunk of the vertical and horizontal telephone exchange has a high utilization rate, and there are two roundabout routes, so the networking is flexible, and the utilization rate can be increased by about 20%; the user circuit has a lock function, and only occupies the user circuit when the trunk is busy and the called is busy, so the traffic decline rate is large.

Subsequently, with the gradual increase in the communication business volume of residents in Hushan Town, the vertical and horizontal telephone exchange can no longer meet the needs of the market. As a result, in 1995, the Hushan Town Telephone Bureau changed the model to the S-1240 program-controlled telephone exchange.

Programmable telephone exchange is an automatic telephone exchange controlled by a computer according to a pre-programmed program, and the full name is a stored program-controlled telephone exchange. The evolution of automatic telephone exchange from the "electromechanical" mode to the "program-controlled" mode is another major change in telephone communication in the 20th century. The program-controlled telephone exchange is composed of hardware and software, and the hardware includes a telephone channel part, a control part and an input and output part. The software consists of a program section and a data section.

The combination of program-controlled digital switching and digital transmission can form an integrated service digital network, which can not only realize telephone exchange, but also realize the exchange of fax, data, image communication, etc. The program-controlled digital switch has fast processing speed, small size, large capacity, strong flexibility, and multiple service functions, which is convenient for changing the function of the switch, convenient for building an intelligent network, and providing users with more and more convenient telephone services. As a result, the communication business of Toyama Town has entered an era of rapid development.

Although there are two signs hanging at the entrance of the telephone office and the post office, there is only one director of the post office and telephone office in Hushan Town, and it is still Liu Zhi, who has served as the director of Hushan Town for many years. Liu Zhi is also the director of the Hushan Town Post Office and the Telephone Bureau, and now has seven staff members, including two counter service personnel, four postmen, and one is specifically responsible for the installation of program-controlled telephones, this person is called Lian Xi, who used to be responsible for switchboard transfer business in the Hushan Town Telephone Bureau, and later after having program-controlled telephones, this Lian Xi is specifically responsible for the installation and maintenance of program-controlled telephone business.

Today, the person I am looking for in spring is Lian Xi, who is responsible for installing the program-controlled phone.
