Volume 3 Exotic Divine Path Chapter 9 Yin and Yang

Hades, the underworld.

The dark and vast Stygian Sea seems to have no end.

The sea of the underworld, black as thick ink, cold and piercing, under the seemingly calm sea, there are countless dangers.

Just like the weak water in the yang world, the sea of the underworld is also "a piece of feathers does not load, and it sinks when it enters the water". It's just that unlike weak water, weak water will appear like this entirely because of the extremely strong suction and corrosiveness of the river itself, while the Stygian Sea will be like this, completely because the sea is flowing in this sea, and it is not seawater at all.

That's a complete crowd of undead, forever uncountable. Once a creature steps into it, it only takes a few snaps of a finger to be gnawed away by these lonely souls who are desperate for fresh blood and life.

Speaking of which, this is somewhat similar to the river in the Western Hades.

The vast sea, countless undead, because of these two remarkable features, the Stygian Sea is also called the "Endless Sea".

The pitch-black continent floating on the surface of the sea is a land that far exceeds the total land area of the world. The overall topography of the underworld continent is high in the north and low in the south, and there is a spring in the northernmost part of the underworld at the edge of the "barren spring plateau" in the north, because the soil color of the underworld continent is as black as ink, and the land around the spring is loess for ten miles, so this spring is also called "yellow spring".

Although this yellow spring is inconspicuous in appearance, it is indeed the only source of water in the underworld, and all the rivers, rivers, lakes, and berths on the underworld originate here, except for the Sansheng Lake located in the middle of the underworld continent, which shows how important this spring is in the hearts of the people of the underworld. As a result, Huangquan once became synonymous with the underworld, and the mortals of the Yang world once called the journey to the underworld after death "Huangquan Road".

Although there are thousands of underworld water systems originating from the Yellow Springs, the only ones that are truly famous in the Six Realms are Lethe River, Sansheng Lake, and Santu River.

Located in the Huangquan Plateau, the Yellow Spring flows out of the Lethe River from north to south, and when it flows through the dividing line of the Northern Barren Spring Plateau and the Sansheng Plain in the middle of the "Yin Xiao Canyon", the Lethe River is cut off into two tributaries on the left and right due to the influence of the topography, and the left and right Lethe rivers are like the Brahmaputra River in the mortal world, respectively, to the left and right to make a thrilling "big turn". Eventually, however, they rejoined at the junction of the Central Plain and the Southern Mudley Swamp and emptied into the Stygian Sea. Viewed from the air, the arc drawn by these two tributaries of Lethe River forms an olive-shaped shape, and in the middle of it is the sacred lake of the underworld, Sansheng Lake.

In order to distinguish them, the people of the underworld call the Lethe before the diversion the North Lethe River. The confluence of the Lethe River became known as the Santu River, which was originally formed by the fact that the left and right Lechuan rivers that formed the river came from the Sansheng Plain, but later it was entirely because of the fire flowers along its banks (Manju Sawa) and the enlightenment of the Jizo King Bodhisattva to the Mandala River, so that the water of the nearby Santu River had the ability to see the situation of the three lives of sentient beings.

Generally speaking, since the ancient Heavenly Emperor ordered the night god Yama and the earth god Houtu to open up the underworld in the underworld, whether it is the undead who have reached the end of their life or the creatures who come here on duty, as long as they are outsiders, there is only one official entrance to the underworld, and there is only one acceptance point in the underworld to welcome outsiders (similar to Yangshi Customs and Shibosi): the estuary of the Santu River located in the Nili Swamp.

However, the official ghost gate of the underworld will only be opened to realize the connection between the two worlds of yin and yang when Zizheng is in power, and the so-called ghost gate of the Tuyumen family is actually "illegal" in nature, so Yang Ziji, who came to the underworld through the Tuyumen magic circle, is actually a "stowaway".

Naturally, an official stowaway could not swagger to the official acceptance point, so the teleportation end point of the Earth Gate Circle was the north-north wilderness of the middle of the Nili Swamp.

It stands to reason that with Yang Ziji's cultivation, he could have already traveled in the sky, but in this way, it is very likely to trigger the local prevention and control ban, and he didn't want to get into any trouble when he first arrived, so he had to honestly choose to walk. After all, as long as it doesn't exceed seven days, Bai Wanqing's life will not be in danger. Although the second brother just gave him a task to complete in three days, the "three days" here are the "three days" in the world. As the saying goes, "three years of ghost words, three days of human words", that is to say, one day on earth is equal to three hundred and sixty-five days in the underworld, and the ratio of time flow in the heavens and the world is exactly the opposite of the time ratio between the earth and the earth, in other words, if it is calculated according to the time in the underworld, he still has more than six days.

Speaking of which, "three years of ghost words, three days of human words" was written in a book by a mortal named Duan Chengshi (Note (1)). I don't know where he, a mere mortal, knew about these things. Yang Ziji thought silently in his heart as he walked.

Although he couldn't fly, his mind was still able to find his way—and it wasn't long before he came across a river as red as blood.

Although in terms of the common sense of cultivating immortals, Yang Ziji, who had not been cultivating for a long time, was just a little white—although saying this felt like he was slapping the Meishan brothers and other cultivators in the face, and by the way, stabbing their hearts again—but before he came, he had already learned that because of the flowers on the other side, the water of the Santu River was as red as blood. And the rivers and lakes in the underworld are red only the blood pool in the southwest of Nili and the Santu River where he is going.

The blood pool is a pool, in other words, as long as you find a river like blood, it must be the Santu River.

Sanctuary of Olympus.

When Yang Jian and the three returned to the courtyard again, the atmosphere seemed a little silent. Along the way, Li Juntian didn't say a word, he was always pondering, and after coming back, he went back to his room directly.

"Master?" While Yang Jian was also pondering, Qin Yingwu's voice pulled him back to reality.

"Huh?" Yang Jian looked at Qin Yingwu.

"Master, why were those Olympian Protoss so bad to the representatives of the Self-Cultivation Protoss just now?"

“……”

After being silent for a moment, Yang Jian stretched his waist and asked Qin Yingwu a question before answering his question: "What do you think, what is the use of faith?"
