Lecture 5: Seeing a doctor and seeing fate
Lecture 5: Seeing a doctor and seeing fate
1. See a doctor
Before 1912 AD, there was basically only one way for the Chinese people to see a doctor, that is, to see traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine is a discipline created by the Chinese people in the practice of life, which originated from the Book of Changes, the originator of traditional Chinese culture. Legend has it that medicine originated from the doctrine of Huang Lao, the founder of Taoism, the Yellow Emperor and Lao Tzu. Its ideological system is what Confucius said in the "Zhou Yi Dictionaries": "Yi has Taiji, which is to give birth to two rituals, two rituals to give birth to four elephants, and four elephants to give birth to gossip." There is also Lao Tzu in the "Tao Te Ching" put forward the ideological system of "one life two: two give birth to three, and three give birth to all things".
In the practice of life, the Chinese nation has found that the world we live in is divided into heaven and earth, heaven and earth are divided into yin and yang, and yin and yang cover the north, south, east and west, and the sky contains wind, thunder, rain and electricity, and the earth contains gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, and all these natural phenomena have a relationship between life and restraint. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the naturally existing Shengke principle to study the physiological functions of organisms, and uses this Shengke principle to speculate biological pathology, diagnose biological diseases and prevent biological diseases, and form a complete medical biological science system.
If TCM is classified as traditional Chinese science, it should also be classified as Western philosophy, because TCM is still a discipline that specializes in the study of the existence of "spirit" and "matter". Traditional Chinese medicine not only contains the pure materialism of traditional Chinese science, but also contains the coexistence of spirit and matter in Western philosophy, and contains the constituent elements of materialism and idealism, that is, the origin of the world is the coexistence of matter and spirit, materialism believes that matter is the first nature, spirit is the second nature, and spirit is the projection and reflection of matter, while idealism believes that spirit is first, material is secondary, spirit determines matter, and matter is the product of spirit.
Traditional Chinese medicine is different from traditional Chinese science and contains places that surpass traditional Chinese science, because Chinese traditional culture is divided into political culture and folk culture, and in China's traditional political culture, it is a completely single dualistic culture, while Chinese traditional folk culture is not a completely single pure materialistic culture. Traditional Chinese medicine recognizes that there is a "spiritual" world in the world, that there is a "spirit" in matter, and that there is an idea of the existence of living beings, and that the mind is controlled by the "qi" of Tibet. This is very, very important, and many people question the key point of Chinese medicine.
Many Chinese and foreign people think that Chinese medicine is not scientific, that Chinese medicine is empirical logic, does not have objective logical thinking, does not belong to the scientific system of objective logical thinking, and does not belong to the category of Western philosophy; the key factor is that Chinese medicine does not have a spiritual world, in fact, everyone is wrong, the "spiritual" theory in Western philosophy is actually the theory of biological "qi" in Chinese medicine.
The theory of "spirit" in Western philosophy and the theory of biological "qi" in Chinese medicine are the same concept, which is easy to understand, and the Western belief that when there is no "spirit" in matter, it is the phenomenon concept that the Chinese say has no "qi", which is as simple as that.
In fact, often advanced cultural theories are just our simple life practice, not advanced theories, just simple life. The reason why philosophy is reasonable is that philosophy abandons the rigid natural sciences and pursues the wisdom part of the human soul, pays attention to the flexibility of human wisdom and the love and kindness of human nature, and tries its best to give full play to human wisdom and give full play to human love and kindness, so as to promote the progress and development of human society towards a more civilized society. However, traditional Chinese science does not possess these advantages, and traditional Chinese science stresses the need to move backward and forward, pursues the empirical correctness and political correctness of the predecessors, learns from the empirical correctness and political correctness of the predecessors, and applies it to real life; how can such an ideology lead human civilization to a more progressive civilization? The ancients cherished the ancients and learned from the ancients, but they did not know that this was precisely the root cause of the social turmoil, and the reason for the rapid change of dynasties in ancient China had a great deal to do with this. The Chinese do not pay attention to wisdom, love, principles, rules, theoretical innovation, and only empirical and political correctness.
There are still Westerners who say that ancient China only had science and technology, not science, and even the Chinese think so, and these understandings are incorrect. It is reasonable to say that China's traditional political culture does not emphasize logical thinking such as concepts, judgments, and reasoning. Because China's traditional political culture is a culture of intuitive empirical thinking, it stresses image thinking and abstract thinking, attaches importance to intuitive feelings, and pays attention to experience, image and abstract thinking based on the correct experience and political correctness of the predecessors and sages. Chinese medicine is not a single intuitive experience, image and abstract thinking culture, Chinese medicine contains perfect concepts, judgments, reasoning and other logical thinking methods, is a scientific system with very strict logical thinking, the reason is that Chinese medicine recognizes the existence of a "spiritual" world in the world, and recognizes the existence of "spiritual" in biology.
Traditional Chinese medicine was born earlier, forming a complete scientific system around the Western Han Dynasty, and in the world medical system, Chinese medicine was earlier than Western medicine.
Second, watch fate
The Chinese nation has a long history of watching fate, which can be traced back to the beginning of Chinese civilization. The character "命" in Chinese characters comes from fortune telling, and the glyph structure of the character "命" is that in a room, one person kneels down and asks questions, and the other sits and answers. "Seeing fate" was the earliest divination, also known as the way of divination. Divination comes from the Book of Changes, namely "Lianshan", "Guizang", "Zhou Yi", developed to the Western Han Dynasty from the way of divination derived a new knowledge, that is, the six-character prediction, and later developed to the early Song Dynasty to form the eight-character prediction, which is today's eight-character numerology.
Numerology and traditional Chinese medicine are both from the ideological system formed by "Hetu" and "Luoshu", that is, Confucius said in the "Zhou Yi Zhi Ci": "Yi has Taiji, which is to give birth to two yi, two yi to give birth to four elephants, and four elephants to give birth to gossip." The principle is the principle of binary multiplication, that is, dualism, and Lao Tzu summarized it in the Tao Te Ching as "one life two: two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things", and the principle is the principle of trigonometry, that is, ternism.
The age of numerology tends to be the same as that of Western psychology, but it is earlier than Western psychology, and it belongs to the category of Western philosophy, because the principles of numerology and Chinese medicine in the East, as well as Western medicine and psychology in the West, are derived from the principles of trigonometry, that is, ternatry. The reason is that trigonism is the originator of Western philosophy, and Western philosophy and Western theology are all derived from trigonism, and in detail, the spiritual beliefs, scientific and educational culture, and political systems of Westerners all originated from the principles of trigonometry.
After hundreds of years of brewing and development, Chinese medicine appeared Sun Simiao in the Jin Dynasty, and numerology appeared Li Xuzhong in the Tang DynastyThe question of "spirit" and "matter" constitutes the two major elements of Western philosophy, that is, the study of the origin of the world is matter and spirit, the recognition that matter dominates the spiritual world, and the recognition that spirit is the product of matter, and has become a study of the relationship between spirit and matter on things, so it should be classified as the category of Western philosophy. It's just that there was no such term philosophy in ancient China, but it doesn't mean that there was no concept of philosophy in ancient China.
Traditional Chinese medicine and numerology are higher than traditional Chinese political culture in terms of objective and logical thinking, because Chinese medicine and numerology agree with dualism and triadism. The reason is still that the theoretical basis of Chinese medicine and numerology comes from the "Hetu" and "Luoshu" in the Book of Changes, and the mathematical principle of "Hetu" is dualism, that is, two numbers multiply without research, two two get four, four forty-six... The principle of multiplication without investigation, and the mathematical principle of "Vena" ternary theory, that is, three three see nine, nine nine eighty-one... There is no principle of multiplication. Dualism is the mathematical principle of intuitive logical thinking, and triadism is the mathematical principle of objective logical thinking.
Therefore, the cultural classification of traditional Chinese medicine and numerology is higher than that of traditional Chinese political culture, that is, image thinking and abstract thinking with intuitive logical thinking, as well as conceptual, judgment and reasoning thinking with objective logical thinking, which is a highly scientific and conceptual study and an important part of human culture.
This issue has been elaborated on before, and it will not be repeated here. The following is a detailed description of the principle of "seeing a doctor and seeing a fate", and the "Yin and Yang Five Elements Theory".
