Chapter Forty-Nine: The First Experience at Hogwarts
Rhine led Canaan to Hogwarts Castle, and Hagrid followed closely behind, looking a little embarrassed that he hadn't helped Canaan.
"This is the heart of Hogwarts, where our classrooms, professors' offices, and student dormitories are basically all here. There's eight floors, and oh, there's a basement. Rhine explained very seriously.
"Come, let's go to the basement first, that's where our dean spends his time, his office and the Potions class he teaches. He was the first to walk into a staircase.
"Your dean, Professor Snape?" Canaan followed, then asked.
"It's him, he's a potions master I admire so much, but he has a bad temper. Rhine said honestly.
"Come on, he's giving a lesson to the students of Gryffindor House, haha, this group of students is going to be unlucky. Rhine whispered to Canaan, only to see him lying outside the door of a classroom, peeking through the crack in the door.
Canaan was just about to go over when he heard a loud shout from the classroom, "Who's outside?"
"Run. Rhine was so frightened that he grabbed Canaan and ran forward, but Hagrid was a little overwhelmed, but he hurriedly followed.
For a moment, Professor Snape poked his head out and looked gloomily at the empty hallway.
"Rhine, you really don't look like a Slytherin. Canaan gasped and said with a smile.
"I've always wanted to go to Gryffindor, but the Sorting Hat got me into Slytherin. Rhine shrugged, looking like I couldn't help it.
"Come with me, in front of us is the common room of our academy, and I'll show you around. Rhine walked in front, waving his little hand.
Canaan and Hagrid followed slowly, and they came to an empty stone wall, which was a narrow circular space with green candles hanging from the ceiling and statues of snakes around it.
"Do you usually rest here? "Canaan felt that it was wet, and the air was oppressive.
Hagrid looked around curiously, it was his first time here.
"Of course, don't all little snakes like this kind of environment?" said Rhine, sitting in a beautiful armchair with a huge snake head carved into it.
"I'll tell you, our dormitory is at the bottom of the Black Lake, and you can usually see a big octopus through the window, and the scenery is good. Rhine said ostentatiously.
"That's funny, I want to come to Slytherin too. Canaan smiled.
"No, Slytherin isn't for you, you should go to Ravenclaw, where people are smart. Rhein kindly suggested.
"Maybe. Canaan said uncertainly.
......
It has to be said that Rhine is an excellent guide, and in a short period of time, he took Hagrid and Canaan to visit all the castles of Hogwarts, but Hagrid felt that he was once a fake Gryffindor, and he had not visited many interesting places today.
Finally, at Canaan's request, Rhine led them to the Slytherin quarters to see what the bottom of the lake was like.
"I can only show you my dorm, my roommates are probably still in the library, and they shouldn't be coming back. Rhine said as he opened the door to his bedroom.
"It's really nice here. "Canaan found the environment here to be good, even under the lake, there was no such damp feeling, and the surrounding walls should have been put with an anti-damp spell. The house is fully furnished and there is a large window in the center of the house that gives you a view of the bottom of the lake.
"Of course, our elders donate a lot of money to the school, and I dare say that the dormitory environment of our college is the best in the school. Rhine nodded, agreeing with Canaan's words.
"Oh, what is that, like a person?" exclaimed Hagrid as he saw the bottom of the lake through the window.
A middle-aged woman in a black robe, holding a wand, seemed to be looking for something in the water.
"That's our Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Jorinst, and I can see her here once in a while, don't worry. Rhine glanced at it and explained.
"She's only been at Hogwarts for a short time, and I've heard that she used to be a student of Slytherin, but she has a weird temper and we don't like her. Rhine continued.
"Does your Defence Against the Dark Arts class have to change professors every year?" asked Canaan, remembering that the class seemed to have been cursed by Voldemort, and that every professor he had served had died well.
"It seems that yes, I heard that the last professor who took this course, while practicing Anigmas, turned into a turkey, he forgot that he was a human, and then hid in the Forbidden Forest, never to return. Rhein said with a blank look.
Canaan glanced at Hagrid, then hurriedly asked, "Did you find the professor?", thinking of the game he had eaten at Hagrid's last night.
"Then he was found, and the Ministry of Magic found him in the belly of a werewolf. ”
"Poor thing, what did that werewolf do?" Canaan breathed a sigh of relief.
"Executed, of course, though all it remembers was that it ate a turkey. "Rhine spreads his hands.
"Oh, what an unfortunate story. Canaan looked grieved.
At this point, Hagrid interrupted them, "Little ones, I think you should take a look at that. He pointed out the window.
I saw that the professor named Ruolinst was reluctantly chasing a big-headed squid, and the squid spewed out a cloud of ink, and the entire water layer suddenly turned black. Immediately after, a green light flashed in the pitch-black waters, and then the large-headed squid quickly fell to the bottom of the water, and the tentacles of its whole body twisted as if in pain.
"What kind of spell is this? that's cool!" Rhine asked in shock.
"It's supposed to be the Drill Heart Curse, a forbidden spell in the wizarding world, you see that squid has been struggling. Canaan guessed, after all, no one could see the scene where the professor cast the spell just now, and could only speculate based on the color of the spell and the performance of the squid's spell.
"Probably not, after all, she's a professor at Hogwarts, and I don't think Dumbledore would invite a wizard who can cast forbidden spells to be a professor at the school. Hagrid said uncertainly, though he also thought the spell was like a Drill Heart Charm, but he believed in Dumbledore very much.
"What then, are we going to talk to Dumbledore?" Rhine was a little nervous, he didn't expect the professor at the school to be so cruel and torture a large squid with the Drill Heart Curse.
At this time, Ruolinst suddenly turned his head, glanced at this side coldly, and then quickly disappeared with the big-headed squid.
"Did she spot us?" Rhein was horrified by the look in her eyes.
"I think so, for your safety, I suggest you find Dumbledore as soon as possible and explain the matter, so that he can extract your memories to check on the matter if necessary. Canaan said slowly to Rhine and Hagrid, and after looking at each other just now, he vaguely felt that this female professor was not so simple.
