On the forty-ninth day, the festival finally ended, and before everyone got up, the monk transformed by Guanyin strode into the festival and said loudly: "Sell robes and tin staffs." ”

The guards just wanted to drive him out, but he was stopped by Li Shimin and said, "This master will return to the palace with the widow." ”

After everyone came to the treasure hall, Li Shimin asked, "How did you sell this robe and tin staff?"

Guanyin said: "The robe has 100 spiritual jade, 5,000 silver, 500 tin rod spiritual jade, and 3,000 silver." Tang Wang was shocked, he didn't care about the silver, but this spirit jade was very rare, so he couldn't help but care, and asked: "What is the spirituality of the two treasures, it is worth so much?"

Guanyin smiled and said, "These two treasures are blessed by the Buddha. Wear my robe and don't enter reincarnation. If you sit still, there will be ten thousand Buddhas to pay homage, and if you move, there will be seven Buddhas with you. ”

Taizong was very pleased, and said: "What about this tin staff?" Guanyin said: "This tin staff is cast by immortal vines, and it is not stained with red dust and does not fall into hell." ”

Li Shimin thought about it, but he was afraid that only by letting Xuanzang get these two treasures could he retrieve the true scriptures, but he could still bear one hundred and fifty spiritual jades. After thinking about it, Li Shimin said: "Xuanzang, I feel that this treasure is very suitable, so I bought it and gave it to Master Xuanzang." Then he ordered someone to fetch the silver and two spirit jades. Xuanzang didn't even dare to say after hearing this.

Seeing this, Guanyin said: "Your Majesty, I have a wish in front of me, and those who know this treasure will not take a penny, since it is given to this Master Xuanzang, I will give it to him, and I will never ask for money." ”

Then King Tang asked Xuanzang to put on a brocade robe and pick up the nine-ring tin staff, which was really dignified, if it wasn't for the monks, I don't know how many young ladies and girls would have taken a fancy to it.

Xuanzang saluted Guanyin, Guanyin folded his hands and said: "You can only talk about Hinayana teachings, but can you know Mahayana Buddhism?" Xuanzang bowed and said: "The disciple can only teach Hinayana Buddhism, and Mahayana Buddhism has only mentioned a word and a half in the book, but it is the sect of the Western Heavens, but I don't." ”

Guanyin laughed and said, "You Hinayana Buddhism, you can't save the dead soul, how can you purify this heavenly grievance? I have the Mahayana Buddhism Sanzang, I can save the dead from ascending to heaven, I can cultivate immeasurable longevity, and I can purify the resentment here. ”

Xuanzang turned to King Tang and said, "Your Majesty, the disciple is willing to leave for the West to retrieve the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures and purify his anger." Li Shimin nodded, very happy, in fact, his heart was very calm, and he just hoped that he would not come again.

Guanyin nodded with satisfaction and said: "That Xitian Leiyin Temple, according to this, how can it be more than 108,000 miles, do you really want to go?" Xuanzang clasped his hands together and said: "The poor monk is appreciated by His Majesty, and he is willing to retrieve the true scriptures for the Tang Dynasty." ”

Everyone hurriedly went out of the hall, only to see Guanyin show his true appearance, but everyone didn't know who Guanyin was, only Xuanzang saw his head and bowed, and said: "The disciple meets Guanyin Bodhisattva." ”

Guanyin nodded and drove away. Li Shimin asked, "Does the mage know which god this is?"

Xuanzang got up and said respectfully: "It is the Buddha of the West who sat down on Guanyin Bodhisattva, whose heart is compassionate, who listens to the voices of the people in the world, and who saves the suffering." Since then, Guanyin's belief has taken root in the Tang Dynasty.

And regardless of Guanyin, three days later, Li Shimin bowed to Xuanzang, gave him the surname Tang, sent Xuanzang westward, and equipped him with a horse entourage, and then Xuanzang said: "Your Majesty, the entourage will be exempted, the mountain is high and the road is dangerous, and the poor monk can go forward alone." ”

Li Shimin listened to him and did not shirk it, anyway, what is the use of not going, sooner or later he will come back. The corners of Li Shimin's mouth twitched, and he said: "In this case, the widow is waiting for the royal brother to return in Chang'an." ”

Xuanzang heard the prestige, only to see a hairy face and thunderous monster standing in front of him, if he was usually scared to death, but now that he knows what he has learned, he also has the courage to ask: "Thank you for the rescue, dare to ask how you know that the poor monk wants to go to the west to learn the scriptures?"

Sun Wukong pursed his lips and said, "My master asked me to protect you, so I don't have to be eaten by monsters on the way." ”

Xuanzang asked: "Dare to ask who is the master?" Sun Wukong said: "Taishang Laojun!"

Xuanzang was very embarrassed, Taishang is a Taoist, and Taoists really hope that the Buddhist scriptures will enter the eastern land? Although Xuanzang recites the scriptures every day and does not know about the world, he is not a fool, and he knows the contradictions between Buddhism and Taoism.

"Xuanzang!" Guanyin showed his form and said, "Wukong can help you on the road, you can go on the road together." ”

When Xuanzang saw that it was Guanyin Bodhisattva, he hurriedly kowtowed and saluted, and responded: "The disciple knows." Sun Wukong was not so respectful when he saw Guanyin, and said casually: "The Bodhisattva is polite." ”

Guanyin glanced at Sun Wukong coldly and turned to leave.

Then Xuanzang and the two continued to travel west, coming to this eagle stream, Xuanzang was sitting aside to rest, and suddenly a white light appeared, and he donated the white horse and entered the water.

Sun Wukong saw it, jumped directly into the water, after entering the water, the white light turned into a young man, and he hiccuped, obviously the white horse just now had already entered the belly of this person.

Sun Wukong pointed at Ao Lie with a golden hoop stick and said, "Who are you? Ao Lie was stunned and said, "But the monk who went west to learn the scriptures?"

When Sun Wukong heard that something seemed to be wrong, he said, "Exactly." Ao Lie sighed and said, "Then Guanyin asked me to wait here for the person who learned the scriptures so that I could make a foot with him." Then Sun Wukong came to Xuanzang with Lie and said Guanyin's instructions, and Xuanzang was overjoyed.

I saw Ao Lie transform, turned into a white horse, and dragged Tang Seng to the west.

After more than a month, several people came to Gao Laozhuang. happened to meet the Gao family who went out to find a master, Sun Wukong rolled his eyes and knew that this place was the residence of Tianpeng, so he asked the family to lead the way back to the Gao family.

Mr. Gao and Mrs. Gao were not scared to death when they saw Sun Wukong appear, but after hearing that Sun Wukong could subdue demons, she hurriedly told the two of them what that monster was.

It turned out that Tianpeng approached Gao Cuilan with a monk genius, and Gao Cuilan quickly fell in love with him, but it reached the point of talking about marriage in half a year, but there was a mistake at the wedding, and Tianpeng turned into a pig-headed demon body after drinking too much, which directly frightened Mrs. Gao, and hurriedly went to find Gao Cuilan, who was still waiting in the cave room.

Gao Cuilan didn't believe it when she heard it, and then ran to Tianpeng and saw that it was really the case, she was also frightened and took half a step back, and then Tianpeng woke up and saw that she had become like that, and she lost her temper, and then a demon wind wrapped Gao Cuilan and disappeared.

They knew the abode of the canopy, but many monks who had found it failed to subdue the canopy, but were stripped naked and thrown to the door of the high house, and in the long run, no one dared to come to get rid of the demon, after all, although there was no danger to life, but it was too embarrassing to be stripped naked.

After hearing this, Sun Wukong sneered and said, "Old man, the monster will be handed over to me." But that monster really forcibly took Miss Gao away?" Master Gao said with little confidence: "When... Of course. "Alright, I'll go find your daughter." Sun Wukong turned into a gust of wind and disappeared.

Sun Wukong flew directly to Yunzhan Cave, knocked on the door, and saw a girl open the door and said, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

Sun Wukong laughed and said, "Are you Miss Gao?" "No!" Gao Cuilan finished speaking and prepared to close the door of the cave.

Sun Wukong hurriedly pinned it with a golden hoop stick and said, "Miss Gao, don't worry, I'm not here to collect the canopy, I just have something to say." ”

At this time, Tianpeng saw Gao Cuilan rubbing at the door for so long, so he also came out, saw Sun Wukong, and said to Gao Cuilan: "Cuilan, you close the door of the cave." ”

Then Tianpeng directly took out the nail rake, and then fought with Sun Wukong, and was finally pressed under the stick by Sun Wukong and said: "I am Marshal Tianpeng, waiting here for the person to learn the scriptures, don't let me go quickly, offend the Bodhisattva, you will have to suffer." ”

Sun Wukong said with a smile: "That's right, my old Sun is accompanying Xuanzangxi to learn scriptures, so you can go back with me." ”

Tianpeng hurriedly said: "Wait, let me pack up and go." Then Sun Wukong waited outside the cave, and Tianpeng returned to the cave, saw Gao Cuilan and said: "Cuilan, I'm afraid I'm going west to learn the scriptures." After I leave, you can go home, the trick I gave you is good for you to cultivate, that is what I asked from Taishang Laojun, you can become the way of Daluo, and these treasures are easy to use, so it's okay to wait for me to come back. ”

Gao Cuilan had already heard Tianpeng say that he still had a task to complete after that, so she nodded and said with tears in her eyes: "Xianggong, I'm waiting for you, you must come back." "Yes. Tianpeng hugged Gao Cuilan and didn't say a word.

Early the next morning, Gao Cuilan sent Xuanzang and a few people to the west, turned around and returned to the boudoir, laid down the enchantment, and entered the cultivation.

Seeing this, Master Gao and Mrs. Gao glanced at each other, shook their heads, sighed, and said, "It seems that we are really wrong, let Cuilan choose for herself in the future, let's not interfere." ”
