Old things in Shanghai
Old things in Shanghai
In the summer of July 2005, after graduating from junior high school, I came to Shanghai for the first time.
We live on the 20th floor of an apartment, the room is big and bright, I often stand at the window next to the elevator and look out the window at Shanghai in the summer, looking at the sunlight shining on the boulevard, thinking that it must be romantic if I can hold hands with her and walk there.
That summer, when my youth was cool and my dreams soared, Jay Chou filmed his first movie "Initial D", and I bought a pirated disc of this movie in the alley stall next to Yi Chu Lotus downstairs to watch it. How crazy I liked him then, how cool Jay Chou was back then, and the billboards in the Dynamic Zone on both sides of the road were all about him.
On July 1 of that year, Jay Chou held an incomparable concert in Shanghai, and the three of us took the subway to Shanghai Stadium, but I didn't have a ticket, my sister had just joined the work at that time, and I didn't have the money to buy it, so I could only listen to the singing outside the venue.
It was the concert I wanted to see the most, and it was also the most classic round of concerts that countless people thought Jay Chou, but I never had a chance to see it again.
That summer, I only stayed in Shanghai for more than 20 days before returning to my hometown, and after I returned, I did something that affected my life. I wrote my first novel.
In the summer of July 2008, after graduating from high school, I came to Shanghai for the second time.
We live in a residential building near Pudong, where land is expensive, and the rooms are small and dark. When my sister was at work, I often walked under the shadows of the high-rise buildings in Lujiazui, and the medal table of the Beijing Olympics was displayed on the TV wall.
It was bustling, but it didn't belong to me, I sat in the park below the Oriental Pearl, where there were empty villas, and I stood on the grass outside, imagining that if the girl inside must be a young lady, very beautiful, very far away.
At that time, I started to write my first online novel at the beginning, the name was very silly, it was called "With Jay Chou", the writing was at the level of a primary school student, and no one read it.
Actually, I didn't pay much attention to Jay Chou at that time, I thought I would be crazy about him for the rest of my life, but time is cruel, and I didn't even pay much attention to his world tour. However, when passing by Metersbonwe on Nanjing Road, I will still go in to see his poster.
One summer evening, while I was writing a novel, my two older sisters were watching the Olympics on TV, and my mother, who was far away, made a long-distance call and told me that my grandmother had died.
The next day, I left Shanghai and went back to attend the funeral.
In January 2011, in the winter, I was about to graduate from university and came to Shanghai for the third time.
It was very cold that winter, and there was only the last semester left, so there was no need to go to class, so everyone went to look for work internships. It was the first time I brought my parents to Shanghai, they had never seen such a prosperous city in their lives, and the place where we lived changed again, in a residential building in Minhang District, the house was much bigger than in 08.
I'm about to graduate from college, and I'm about to step into society and live another completely strange life. That winter, I started writing a new book at the beginning, and spent every day waiting for the signing notice, but every time I opened the backstage, it was quiet, and no editor contacted me. At the same time, every day in the QQ group, there is news that students have found jobs.
Our house was also about to expire and we had to get a new one, and that night we considered whether we wanted to live separately and live separately. I've never been in this situation, and I panicked and said to myself, if that book didn't get 100,000 words, I'd give up writing the novel and look for a job.
The afternoon when I reached more than 90,000 words, I was ready to send out the last chapter and go to work the next day. But when I opened the author's backstage, there was a sudden "ding dong" and a message popped up, and the editor asked me to sign a contract. It was my first signed book, and the title was as cold as that winter, and it was called "Refrigeration."
That was the longest time I've lived in Shanghai, and I finally had the first chance to go to Jay Chou's concert, the Super Times World Tour, the cheapest ticket of 180 yuan. In that Shanghai Stadium, where I couldn't get into in 05, I stood at the farthest distance and saw Jay Chou with my own eyes for the first time.
On the stage, the shadow that is difficult to see even clearly is Jay Chou, who I have been crazy for many years, and he has been debuting for ten years.
In March 2011, we finally moved into my fourth house since I came to Shanghai, which was an old bungalow that was cramped and dark. Inside that house, I frantically wrote my copy of "Refrigerated", but I didn't pay for it. I didn't go to bed until two or three o'clock in the morning every day, and then I fell asleep deeply, and when I woke up the next day, they had already gone to work, and I was the only one at home, and the afternoon sun shone through the window, and it was very quiet, but my ears continued to ring, and the world was no longer quiet.
I went back to Changsha in July to go through the graduation procedures, and that summer I found my first job, and the novel finally couldn't stick to it anymore and began to live a 9-to-5 working life.
In August 2011, just five months after moving into this house, it was about to be demolished, so we moved again and moved into a fifth house. It's also the longest house I've ever lived in, and when I moved out today, the landlord came over to settle the strata fee, and I heard an accurate number, 27 months. I was suddenly stunned, there are only 900 months in a human life, and in this house, I consume 27 months.
During the 27 months of living in this house, it seems that a lot of things have happened, the first job was done for 6 months, I quit my job to write a new book, and the new book failed. Then I played "Sword Net 3" for half a year decadently, met some people, and later went to find a second job. Since the first day of work, I have been planning the new book, writing the first edition, followed by the second edition, the third edition, and finally on April 13 of this year, I posted the current book "Hero's Prison", which is 20 times the score of "Cold Storage", and I quit my second job, and I may never work again.
I watched Jay Chou's concert again, on May 17, 2013, Jay Chou's Ferris World Tour, the venue is no longer the Shanghai Stadium of 80,000 people, but the small and exquisite Mercedes-Benz Arena, that is the most clear I have seen Jay Chou so far, 380 yuan ticket, really close.
It's been 13 years since Jay Chou debuted, and many children are laughing at me, what age is it, and I'm still Jay Chou. suddenly felt very old, just like I once said to those Andy Lau fans, what age is it, still Andy Lau, I didn't expect that one day I would be said like this by others.
Last week, I went to Hangzhou Station to watch Jay Chou's concert, and it was still a 380 yuan ticket, and the friends who went with him sighed, saying that Jay Chou was indeed old, his sideburns began to turn white, and he was a little unable to sing. I told him that when Jay Chou starts a new round of world tours in three years, I must buy tickets for more than 2,000 yuan and sit in the nearest seat to watch.
On November 23, 2013, today, we moved again and moved into a big house, which is the sixth house I have lived in Shanghai.
In the morning, when I was moving things, I said to my mother, "Soon I will take you to a very big house." She smiled and said I was bragging, with deep wrinkles at the corners of her eyes. I do enjoy bragging, but I know I won't brag this time, and I'll soon take her to a big house with big floor-to-ceiling windows in every room.
The network in the new house has not been installed, I can't access the Internet, after reinstalling the computer, I opened the Fantesi album on the hard drive, it was Jay Chou's second album, at that time he was a year younger than mine now, but he was already able to write such a beautiful song, and the gap between people and people is so big. Listen, I fell asleep in my chair, those time-old melodies swirling in my head.
When I woke up, I was at peace, staring at the window next to my computer desk, watching the green leaves move in the wind outside, reflecting the autumn sun, quiet and peaceful.
I opened Jay Chou's 2007 concert and wrote this diary while listening. I'm going to start coding today's chapter.,Only one chapter was updated yesterday.,I'm going to write a little more today.。
When I went to the cinema to watch "Rooftop" a few months ago, I asked for the poster on the rooftop of the cinema, which was so big that it could cover a wall. After waking up every day, the first thing I saw was Jay Chou, looking at this person who has been walking in my life.
Maybe the reason why I have liked him for so long, and I haven't forgotten him for more than ten years, is because his enterprising spirit has always encouraged me, he is so successful, but he still works so hard. And I'm just an ordinary person, how can I be worthy of this pen name without hard work, talented.
I hope that one day, those clumsy novels I have written will accompany some people through their youth, who have been moved and laughed by the stories I wrote in dark or bright houses, and may not forget them for many years.
Like, Jay Chou is in my life.
