Since the supply of Luban 2-generation CPU chips is now in short supply, in November, Lishan Semiconductor has been preparing a second 0.5-micron production line for the production of Luban 2-generation CPUs. Thanks to the experience of the first line, the commissioning of the second line will be smoother.

At the same time, the 0.5-micron chip production line put into operation in December will also be used for the production of Luban's second-generation chips......

The main thing that limits the production capacity of Pangu 8th generation computers is the production capacity of 0.5 micron chips, and each 0.5 micron production line is put into operation, which is expected to increase the annual production capacity of 100~2 million chips.

However, once the demand for Pangu 8 is released, more than a few production lines can meet it. It is estimated that twenty or thirty 0.5-micron chip factories have been put into production, which may not be satisfied.

After all, chip factories not only need to meet the needs of Pangu 8, but even need to provide some chips to compatible machine manufacturers to cultivate customers. If it is only provided to Pangu Computer Co., Ltd. and not to compatible machine manufacturers, then it will make compatible machine manufacturers dissatisfied and feel unfair.

This is definitely more than the current annual profit level of the two chip factories, not to mention, the two companies have been relying on borrowing money to expand their scale, and the scale of debt is very large.

Therefore, simple borrowing should be unsustainable and the risk is relatively high.

What needs to be done now is mainly to reduce debt risk, not to continue to borrow. While reducing debt leverage, we need to continue to expand production capacity, invest in new production lines, and have no time to repay debts with profits, slowly reduce the scale of debt, accumulate surpluses, and invest again!

That might be good for the traditional industry, but not for the semiconductor industry. In the semiconductor industry, the process has been replaced in two or three years. Missing out on a generation of processes is equivalent to missing out on market share for several years, and may even lose the market all the time.
