China's primeval forests include: Shennongjia Mountains, Daxing'an Mountains, Jinguang Lake Primeval Forest Area, Jianfengling Tropical Rainforest, Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest Nature Reserve.

1. Shennongjia Mountain Area, located at the border of Hubei, Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces, borders the Yangtze River in the south and Wudang Mountain in the north. The whole area covers an area of 3,250 square kilometers, and the main peak Taishennongjia is 3,300 meters high. In 1978, the state decided to establish a nature reserve in the 20 square kilometers around the large and small Shennongjia peaks, mainly to protect rare animals and plants such as golden monkeys and dove trees, as well as forest ecosystems.

2. The Great Khing'an Mountains are located in Heilongjiang Province and the northern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and are the watershed between the Inner Mongolia Plateau and the Songliao Plain. From the banks of the Heilongjiang River in the north to the upper valley of the Xilamulun River in the south, its tropical rainforest, southern subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, rare animal and plant populations, and the entire forest ecology are priceless treasures, and it is the only well-preserved and large-scale tropical forest in the world, which has attracted attention at home and abroad. Located at the southern tip of Yunnan, the Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest is the most well-preserved tropical rainforest in China's high-latitude and high-altitude areas, and has a unique "inversion" phenomenon of vertical distribution of plants in the world.

3. Jinguang Lake primitive forest area is located in Neitian Village, Lianhua Town, Tong'an District, Xiamen City, Jinguang Lake is known as "Xishuangbanna of southern Fujian", the forest is vast, there are many varieties of wild animals and plants, the list is endless, the total area of the forest area is 7768 acres, and the highest altitude is 845 meters. The ancient trees in the forest area are towering to the sky, the winding paths are secluded, and you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature, but also enjoy the endless fun of the "forest oxygen bar". There are national first-class and second-class protected plants and other forests in the area, as well as rare animals.

4. Jianfengling Tropical Rainforest is located in the north of Sanya City, the junction of the northern part of Ledong County and Dongfang City, and is a mountainous area in the western part of Hainan Island bordering the Beibu Gulf. It is 90 kilometers away from the city of Sanya, with a total area of 447 square kilometers, and the main peak of Jianfengling is 1412 meters above sea level. In this mysterious forest, 75% of Hainan's plants and 85% of wild animals grow. At present, the Jianfengling area still preserves the largest tropical primeval forest in China, with birds singing and flowers, the annual average temperature is 19 °C-24.5 °C, the cool breeze in midsummer, the air is fresh, the content of negative ions in the air is high, and the concentration of plant essence is large, which is a summer resort for recuperation.

5. Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest Nature Reserve is located in the three counties of Jinghong, Mengla and Menghai in Xishuangbanna Prefecture in the south of Yunnan Province. With a total area of 2420.2 square kilometers, its tropical rainforest, southern subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, rare animal and plant populations, and the entire forest ecology are priceless, and it is the only one in the world that is well preserved, there are 8 vegetation types in the area, and there are more than 3,500 kinds of higher plants, accounting for about one-eighth of the higher plants in the country. Among them, there are 58 species of rare and endangered plants listed as national key protection, accounting for 15% of the national protected plants.
