Chapter 6

"I am the 'Son of Light,' the Son of God, the Herald who walks among men, commanded by God to lead you out of the sins of the devil......"

The young boy shuddered at the "Red Deer's" gaze that almost turned into a soft tongue, he frowned slightly, lowered his eyes to avoid the gaze of the other, and then calmly and numbly recited the lines that he had practiced many times before—which Daniel Wright had written himself, and then printed them out and placed at his bedside. And his mother would supervise him to memorize every word and punctuation on it.

First a routine passage, followed by a choreographed prayer......

Calvin was eager to complete this tedious task, his back ached terribly, and the pair of wings with their amazing power were beautiful, but their sheer size and extra weight took a toll on Calvin's back muscles and bones. As the pair of wings grew, Calvin's back pain grew more and more severe, and there was a small drawer on his bedside table, in which were neatly arranged yellow plastic cylinders of medicine, which were his painkillers.

Before meeting Daniel, his mother had considered taking him to have his wings removed, but now she didn't talk about it at all.

Calvin somewhat regretted not taking the painkiller before getting out of the car, as he was busy reciting the last prayer, and now he just wanted to hurry back to his room, which was at the back of an RV that was now parked in the parking lot of the Jay Bay federal prison staff.

Not only would he be able to lie down on the bed when he returned to his room (which would have made his back pain much less), but Calvin would be rewarded by Daniel for each mission he had completed: he could spend an hour playing video games in his room surrounded by velvet curtains and icons. Daniel had a super cool handheld machine, and Calvin was almost fascinated by that little one, not to mention that in that one-hour bonus time, he finally didn't have to face his mother's small nagging and didn't have to practice manners over and over again, which had no fun at all.

Calvin also didn't really like the feeling that "Red Deer" gave him.

Of course, it was not uncommon for someone to have a strong crush on him, and the senior members of the Adventist almost always looked at him with the same warm gaze, but "Red Deer" seemed to give Calvin even more ...... Weird.

Calvin couldn't find the words to describe the feeling, perhaps because of the pair of wings on his back, the young boy had an unusually human sensitivity to the movement of air, and the air around the "red deer" had a very slight distortion of it.

This twisting sensation always made Calvin want to flap the wings behind his back, but the pain where his shoulder blades connected to the wings made him almost lose his balance. He restrained, but like all deformities, his wings were often not very obedient, and the muscles that controlled his wings always spasmed when he was nervous, and his wings would begin to shake and fall white down - his mother would go crazy every time this happened, and Daniel would carefully collect the feathers and sell them to his followers.

……

“…… Whether your soul is lost or not, God is always with you, Amen. ”

Calvin memorized the long, stinking prayer almost in a trance, and his attention was so focused on the base of his aching wings that he couldn't hear what the Red Deer had said a second time.

"Aren't you happy?"

"Red Deer" said with blazing eyes.

"What?"

Calvin was stunned.

It was a question he had never encountered before.

"Red Deer" stared thoughtfully at Calvin's face, wondering why his tears kept pouring out.

If the sweetness of flowers and sweet honey came to his heart before, at this moment it was magma mixed with sulfuric acid mixed in his chest, as if he had seen his dearest child being beaten, or the most precious treasure being rudely shattered—hazy but strong emotions intertwined in the brain of the "red deer".

"Red Deer"'s eyes fluttered.

The world of illusion is unfolding.

The cold, uninteresting concrete and metal space twisted and collapsed like heated butter, blood-red comets grazing his scalp across the sky. In the hallucination, he stared at the angel in front of him—he was thinner and paler than the "Child of Light" in the real world, and blood wounds covered the angel's naked body. The "red deer" saw the pus-blooded iron nails nail the angel's wings firmly in the red flames of hell, and the red-hot soldering iron fastened to the slender wrists and ankles.

The angel stared at the "red deer" with his head tilted back in confusion, and red tears flowed from his purple pupils.

The Red Deer was pained and angry as never before for the suffering of this pure angel.

"How can they do this to you!"

He screamed at the evil shadows of the void, fury like the claws of a beast scratching frantically at his guts.

"How could they-"

"How can they treat you like this...... Oh...... My Angel ...... My precious ......"

The "red deer" hissed, and then he suddenly felt a sharp pain - he looked down and saw black claws sticking out of his abdomen.

It was the claws of a pair of huge beasts with black barbed claws and inky fur, and blood flowed down the neat fur.

"Ho-ho-"

A low, menacing purr from a wolf or some other beast—and after a while, the Red Deer suddenly realized that it was coming from his throat.

He raised his hands in a trance, and then saw a pair of claws.

The pair of claws protruding from his abdomen became his own hands, and at the same time, "Red Deer" noticed a change in his vision, he felt his lips bulge forward into a snout, his nose turned wet black, a fishy smell spurted from the inside of his mouth, and he spat out a few mouthfuls.

"Click......

Dozens of human teeth fell to the ground with bloodshot and were then melted by the orange-red magma.

"Red Deer" licked his gums, and the neat, white sharp teeth cut open and poked out.

He turned into a vicious dog.

A wolf.

Red Deer finally realized this.

……

"You...... What's wrong with you?"

Calvin asked, taking a step back with some trepidation, not knowing why all of a sudden "Red Deer" began to cry like a child in front of him.

The tall murderer pressed almost all the weight of his body against the iron metal mesh, tears running down his diamond-shaped skin, and he looked comical and terrifying.

He couldn't help but glance back at Daniel, hoping for some help—Calvin had never been in such a situation, and he suddenly felt a little frightened.

Daniel Wright, however, only brings the camera soaking a little closer.

"Good, good, dear, keep that distance!"

Daniel whispered and hurried at Calvin.

He trembled with excitement...... This is simply a historic moment, the most mysterious and evil serial killer in history, "Red Deer", after receiving the enlightenment of "Angel", did not cry out without any image...... Just thinking about it, Daniel could already predict how much repercussions this film would bring.

In his eagerness, Daniel didn't even bother to hide it in front of the others, and he controlled Calvin's actions in a stern tone.

"You can get closer! closer!"

He shouted.

Calvin looked back and forth between him and the "Red Deer" in confusion, and he was sure he didn't want to go near the door at all—even if the door between him and the "Red Deer" was made of such thick metal. He did not want to get close to the "Red Deer".

The anxious emotion made Calvin tense the muscles on his back, and his wings suddenly spread out uncontrollably.

White feathers fell.

"Boom ......"

The hallucinatory world of "Red Deer" is like a shattered glass snowball that suddenly shatters.

He gasped for breath and looked at the surprised boy in front of him with teary eyes—he had the exact same face and expression as the hallucinatory angel with bloody tears in his eyes.

"Red Deer" slowly stopped crying.

He stared straight at Calvin motionlessly, his gaze softened and deepened with the fanatical obsession he had seen before.

From Calvin's point of view, he could clearly see that the eyes of the "red deer" had turned a very pale silver-blue, and the black pupils had shrunk unusually small.

"I'm sorry. ”

"Red Deer" said politely.

"I just figured something out...... I'm sorry, I think I scared you. ”

In just a split second, he was like a different person, from a weird, frightening pervert, a homicidal maniac to a handsome, amazingly charismatic gentleman. He slowly bowed down behind the lattice window, a position where Calvin could look at him at level without having to tilt his head as he had done before.

There were still traces of tears on the young murderer's face, as well as the red marks that had been strangled on the barbed wire before, but this did not detract from his handsomeness, and even Lucy's fossil would be thrilled when he showed his normal scene.

“……”

Calvin silently stepped back.
