According to legend, this demon king has changed his past mistakes and become a Buddha on the spot! That's why he joined the Eight Heavenly Dragons and became one of the protector gods. But according to my analysis, there may be something else hidden in this.....

There are many stories in the Buddhist scriptures about the struggle between the Asura king and the Emperor Shakti: In it, it is recorded that there was a great Asura king named Rahu. His royal city was 80,000 yojin long, and the inner and outer sevenfold castles were as high as 3,000 yotens. The silver gate of the golden city, the clear spring of the garden, the birds sing together. His figure is 10,000 yotens, 10,000 yotos above Mount Meru, and 28,000 yoto.

When the Asura King was enjoying the sea and Mount Meru, there was a natural wind that blew open the gate of the Heavenly Palace, and this wind blew the earth and the earth to be pure, and the flowers to bloom. The five ministers of the Asura King, the first one named Capture, the second named Xiongli, the third named Martial Arts, the fourth named Chief, and the fifth named Ambush, guarded the front and back of the Asura King.

I must destroy the Heavenly Palace and take the sun and the moon as my ears.

Then he ordered the two asura kings, Samari and Vimalta, as well as all the ministers and generals, to prepare their troops and horses, and go to the heavenly realm to start a war with the heavens.

At that time, the Asura King's subordinates, Nanda and Vayanda, the Great Dragon King, set out first and wrapped their dragon bodies around Mount Meru for seven weeks. Mount Meru immediately shook the clouds. The two dragon kings slapped the sea with their dragon tails, setting off huge waves that covered the top of Mount Meru.

When God Deli saw this, he said to the gods and celestials, "The king of the Asuras is going to war with the heavens again." All the dragon kings of the sea, the god Garuda, and the two ghost gods who hold flowers, each with a weapon, lead the celestial beings to fight against the king of the asuras. If he can't win, he will run to the palace of the Four Heavenly Kings, and he will not be allowed to go to the heavenly palace. ”

God Deli first reported to Shakti. The Emperor also informed the kings of the Heavenly Palace, the King of Yama, the King of Tha, countless Heavenly Kings and Heavenly Gods, Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals, and the Dragon Kings of the Seas to gather in the Heavenly Palace. Lord Shakti commanded, "If our army is to be victorious, we must capture the Asura King alive." Tie him up and take him to the Good Law Hall, and let me see him. ”

The Great Asura King also issued an order to his military generals, "If our army can win, we must capture the Emperor Shakti alive." Bring him to Qiye Hall and let me see him. ”

The two armies fought each other, swords were in contact, fighting each other, but there were no casualties, only those who were hit, feeling pain and distress. At this time, the god Shakti appeared and changed, with a huge body, a thousand eyes on his head, a vajra in his hand, and a firework on his head, and rushed towards the king of asuras.

When the officers and soldiers of the Asura King saw this, they were frightened and panicked, and did not dare to fight again, so they fled one after another. Shakti led his army to pursue the victory, and the Asura was defeated. The Heavenly Soldiers captured the Asura King alive and escorted him to the Good Law Hall.

I don't know why, Asura escaped from the Good Law Hall and gathered demons in the "Shura Realm" to threaten the land.

Therefore, the Buddhist scriptures say that although it is one of the six realms of the Buddha Kingdom, it is one of the eight gods of the heavenly dragon. But it is said to be a god, but it does not have the good deeds of a god, and it is similar to a ghost. It is said to be a ghost, but it has the power of a god.

It is said that it is a human being, although it has the seven emotions and six desires of people, but it also has the power and viciousness of gods and ghosts. Therefore, it is a monster that is not a god, a ghost, or a human, and is between gods, ghosts, and humans.

In his previous life, the Asura King was a poor man who lived by a large river and often crossed the river to harvest firewood. The river often had flash floods, and the water was deep and the waves were large, and he was flooded by the river several times, but fortunately survived.

Once a firewood collector crossed the river to carry firewood, there was no rapids, there was no help, drifting with the waves, and he was about to die; struggled, but fortunately came out of the water and was saved.

Shortly thereafter, a Buddha turned into a Buddhist monk came to the door of the firewood man and begged for food. When the firewood collector saw the Buddhist monks coming to his house, he was very happy and exhausted all the food in the house and made a meal for the sake of food.

After eating the fasting meal, the Buddha threw the bowl into the air and flew away. The firewood collector was very surprised when he saw it, and faced with the whereabouts of the Buddha, he swore to the heavens: May I be tall in the next life, all deep water, and incapable of passing the knees.

Because of this karma, the firewood collector received the blessing, the body is huge, the four seas, can not reach the knee. Standing in the middle of the sea, passing through Sumeru, holding your hand on the top of the mountain, looking down at the Heavenly Palace.

"Standing in the sea, the water is no more than the knee", "Passing through Sumeru, holding the top of the mountain" is the vow made by the Asura King when he was a firewood collector in his previous life.

It is recorded in the book: At the beginning of the cosmic catastrophe, the fire caused a catastrophe, the rain caused a catastrophe, the wind caused a catastrophe, and the earth caused a catastrophe. When the earth tribulation was completed, there was a god named Guangyin who flew to the earth and bathed in the sea.

Because of bathing in the water, the four essences enter the body, and the body feels very happy when it touches the water, so I can't help but flow the essence into the water.

The wind blows from all sides, blowing this essence into the mud, and naturally produces an egg. After more than 8,000 years, the egg broke and a woman was born.

Its body was as black as mud, with nine hundred and ninety-nine heads, and a thousand eyes on its head! Nine hundred and ninety-nine mouths, one mouth and four teeth, and fire on its teeth like a thunderbolt! Twenty-four hands, holding all weapons in their hands. Its body is huge, like Mount Meru.

Once, when she went to the sea, she was happy to be photographed by the water, and a mountain wind blew into the sea, and the water spirit entered her body, and she became pregnant. After 8,000 years of age, he gave birth to a boy who was four times the size of his mother.

It had nine heads, a thousand eyes, fire from its mouth, nine hundred and ninety-nine hands, and eight feet in the sea, which made a loud noise. His name is Vimala Asura. Such spirits and gods only eat silt and lotus root roots.

There is also the same account in the book: The mother of the king of the Asuras, who was floating and bathing in the sea, entered the body and gave birth to a fleshy egg, which, after eight thousand years, broke and gave birth to Vimalta, with nine heads, a thousand eyes on the head, and a mouth full of water, a thousand hands, one missing, and only eight feet.

At this time, the Asura King's body became huge, as tall as Mount Meru, covered in jewels, and full of radiance, the large blue beads emitted cyan light, and the other yellow, red, and black orbs also emitted their own light.

When the king of the asuras saw his own brilliance, he became arrogant and boasted, "There is no one in heaven or on earth who can compare with me." I want the Heavenly Palace Jade Maiden and all the Asura beauties to love me. ”

When the Asura King had finished speaking, he walked out of the royal city. His royal city, called the City of Light, is 8,000 years long, and there are countless flowers and trees in the city, clear spring baths, and all kinds of lotus flowers.

The king of the asuras picked flowers, made them into garlands, and put them on his head, and smeared them with famous incense on his body, giving off a fragrant smell. The king of the Asuras rose from the royal city and went to the heavenly realm to see the Garden of Entertainment.

At this time, if people in the world do not practice the Dharma, do not support their parents, do not respect monks and Brahmin elders, do not practice the law, do not worship the Three Jewels, and do not contemplate the good Dharma, the power of all the heavenly kings, gods, and sons of heaven will be reduced. The Four Heavenly Kings told each other: "All of them are hiding and fleeing, I am afraid that the lion Rahu Asura King will come to the Heavenly Palace and come to kill us." ”

If the people of the world practice the Fa-rectification, filial piety to their parents, respect their teachers, support monks, respect the old and love the young, the power of all heavenly kings, heavenly gods, and celestial beings will increase!
