Act 105 Founder of the technology

The colder weather makes the students in Yale School Park seem to be a little less.

However, this is only the appearance, although to the naked eye, there are many fewer people outside, but they are all active indoors in the warmth.

In addition to the original music and drama that still have relatively tenacious vitality, all other entertainment has been squeezed out by "Monopoly".

Even though they've been playing Monopoly for two months now, it's a lot of fun to fight with people. Beneath the seemingly simple rules of Monopoly, there are so many tricks to play with.

As their understanding of the game deepened, they also admired the creator of the game, Doug, more and more.

Without it, there is no other reason.

The reason why they admire is that they are already considered top minds in this era, and they have studied a game for so long and have not found the loophole of this game.

The seemingly unstrict rules of "Monopoly" form an unusually deep and flawless game world, allowing Yale students who lack entertainment and don't have to worry about making a living in this era to play without worry.

Yale's campus is huge, and in the middle of nowhere, next to Tom's cottage, a simple workshop made of wooden planks is far from so laid-back, but very busy.

Doug got to the outside of the building, and before he got too close, he saw that the ground was already dyed black and purple.

Walking into the workshop, huge pottery water tanks are densely packed into every corner of the room.

Coal tar, strong acids, dyes.

From raw materials to products, it's all in this small workshop.

And, of course, there is the indispensable drying procedure. There were ten huge iron pots, and they were lined up at a time, with coal tar burning at the bottom and coal tar baking at the top.

In front of each iron pot, there is a worker, who holds a shovel and constantly turns the dye in the pot.

Although the temperature was very hot nearby, they were not naked.

Because, although the overall temperature in the workshop is not very low because of these cauldrons, the recommended wooden building is not very airtight.

The warm air in the factory creates convection with the cold air outside the plant, and the indoor wind is very strong.

Doug looked around, but he didn't see Tom.

He had no choice but to stand in the cold wind and knock on the window of Tom's hut.

"Hey!Doug, why are you here?" said Tom, pushing open the window, his face happy.

Doug picked up the canvas pocket in his left hand and said, "Brought you some bread." You're so happy, can you have some results in your research?"

"Hmm...... A little bit......" Tom frowned slightly when he heard Doug's question, but in an instant he became happy.

Tom's first driving force in the development of azo dyes was not money, but pure interest. The love for the explosion calls to him, to make more explosive explosives.

Nowadays, several azo dyes have smoothly transitioned from the laboratory preparation stage to the stage of mass industrial production. Tom finally had time to try out a new type of dynamite from the azo dye.

However, chemical experiments, even with the guidance of scientific theories, are still a matter of luck.

The difference between having a modern body of knowledge and not having a scientific system is only the difference between finding Doug in the city of New Haven and finding Doug on the surface of the earth.

Even if you look for Doug in New Haven, if you really find Doug with a plausible portrait, you will eventually have to modify the portrait.

The most powerful thing about science is that this set of worldviews and methodologies has the potential to continue to develop.

Before the formation of scientific worldviews and methodologies, the dominant worldview of the Western world was dominated by religion.

Neither Jesus nor the Prophet, God or the Buddha, the believers in any religious system could not reach their level.

And in the East, perhaps in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, there was a trace of scientific germination.

But from Confucianism becoming the mainstream doctrine, to many guys who carry Confucianism and anti-Confucianism, they transform Confucianism into Confucianism.

The East has also fallen into a trap where the past was always better than the present.

The reason why the West began to develop rapidly in modern times is that they took the lead in jumping out of the logical circle that the past was better than the present, and the gods were stronger than ordinary people.

Although Tom has been failing these days, he knows that every time he fails, he is one step closer to success.

Even, non-stop failure is the norm in scientific research.

For example, the day I tried to prepare azo dyes with Doug, and I succeeded in one time, but it was a very unscientific thing.

And in the midst of constant failure, if you want to persevere, you need to be optimistic.

So, Tom is optimistic.

"Is my favorite cheese bread?" said Tom, as he opened the bag and saw the bread with a thick layer of cheese on it.

"I think you need some energy!" said Doug, as he finished and took out a few more papers and handed them to Tom through the window, "These are the documents you need to sign to set up a company." Tom, sign your name on page eight, page thirteen, page twenty-six of each copy.

As soon as you sign it, our Tom & Doug Chemical Company is established.

That way you'll have a steady stream of money to research your explosives!"

"I'll sign it. Tom had cheese bread in his mouth and tilted his head to sign his name on each document.

The three contracts were drafted by McGill, and under the terms of the contracts, Tom would receive a fairly good cut as long as Tom and Doug Chemicals were profitable.

Doug didn't deliberately do something about the contract because Tom didn't care about the company's affairs, there was no need for that.

If one day in the future, Tom suddenly starts to care about the company, and someone with a heart instigates it a little, won't he leave?

Talent, what Doug needs is talent!

Tom is clearly a talent!

Only by giving talents excellent treatment can we attract more talents.

And, guys like Tom who are either studying explosions or preparing to study them. No matter how much dividends are given to him, what will he do?

There is only a little bit for life and experimentation, and the rest is just a book number.

Deposited in the company's account, Doug has access to the funds at his disposal.

Of course, a high percentage of dividends also means that Tom has given up some power.

Including but not limited to the company's decision-making power, personnel power, financial power, etc.

In other words, Tom is just a technology founder, nothing more.
