Chapter 348: →_→
Seven is said to be the loneliest number in the world. Gu Long probably also favored the mystery of Seven, so he drafted the title of "Seven Weapons" early, but did not complete the series. Excluding the mixed fist, there are actually only six types of Seven Weapons, namely The Eternal Sword (1974), The Peacock Feather (1974), The Jasper Knife (1974), The Amorous Ring (1974), The Overlord Gun (1975) and The Parting Hook (1978). In chronological order, one after another, you can just see the hidden style of the battle in this series: the sun is shining and then the bitter wind and rain, the witty and humorous and calm is followed by the intrigue and the tricks, the happy ending is followed by the jade and the stones, and the high-spirited big man is followed by the bitter struggle in the underworld or the bottom. "The Sword of Eternal Life", "Jasper Knife" and "Overlord Gun" make people sing and laugh all the way to the ending, just like a good story told by an old man who has gone through vicissitudes, while "Peacock Feather", "Amorous Ring" and "Parting Hook" tug at your heart and mind, and are the sadness and indignation of the author who looks at the world coldly.
There are two threads that connect this series: one is that each work uses weapons to describe a certain characteristic of human nature, and the second is the villain that the protagonists face together: the Blue Dragon Society.
Writing about human nature through weapons, Gu Long's weapon spectrum in "Amorous Swordsman Ruthless Sword" has been a very successful attempt, and the "Seven Weapons" series is just a natural continuation of the previous works. Putting aside the problem of theme first, when this series progressed to the fifth part of "Overlord Gun", the explanation of "courage" was already a bit far-fetched, and "Parting Hook" summarized the whole book with a "proud will lose", which is simply vague.
The setting of the Blue Dragon Club is a genius idea. There are 365 days in a year, and the Blue Dragon Club has 365 altars, each of which is coded with a date. The masters of the seven weapons are all facing a branch of the Blue Dragon Society. In a sense, the leader of the Blue Dragon Society is like the "MacGuffin" of Hitchcock's films, seemingly ubiquitous, but nowhere to be seen. After six parts of the work, the protagonists relied on laughter, confidence, honesty, hatred, courage, and arrogance to defeat their respective opponents, but the boss of the green dragon is still as small as a crane, and the crucial seventh finale has never appeared, making this work an inexhaustible break in chapter.
The first "Immortal Sword", the beginning is Li Baiming's poem: Bai Yujing in the sky, twelve cities on the fifth floor. The immortals caressed my top, and my hair was immortalized.
Bai Yujing lived up to the poet's clear words and beautiful sentences:
He was a prodigal son, and he was always a wanderer. Along the way, he met all kinds of people.
Among them, there are the red-bearded men who dominate the pass, the iron cavalry galloping on the desert, the green forest heroes who stare and kill, and the high-spirited heroes of the rivers and lakes.
During his wanderings, his saddle and scabbard grew old, and his beard grew stiffer.
But his life is always fresh and vivid.
He never predicted what would happen on his next journey, or what kind of people he would meet. ("Immortal Sword: Heavenly White Jade King")
Short and concise, unruly middle-aged man, mature and plump woman, best friend is the most dangerous enemy, treasure hunting mode - this is really a very typical ancient dragon. In Gu Long's pen, we have seen countless similar stories, but this one still has a unique interest. Bai Yujing was not overflowing with joy or sharp pain, and he was one of the more angular-free prodigal sons portrayed by Gu Long, but with an indescribable mysterious taste. After he bloomed with a fleeting light, he chose to escape from the world and became a passerby in the rivers and lakes. The old saddle and scabbard will probably be covered with dust in the future.
The second "Peacock Feather", which uses three months of night to string together the whole chapter, is written about Gao Li's acquaintance, acquaintance, and parting with his friend Qiu Fengwu (Xiao Wu). On the first moonlit night, the two betrayed the organization, and there was no place to stand at the ends of the earth, Gao Li hoped to make a friend of Qiu Fengwu: The moonlit night in the wilderness was even colder, and Xiao Wu's figure suddenly slowed down, as if waiting for him.
His figure slowed down, and he wasn't in a hurry to catch up.
The two of them walked slowly, one after the other, and the slower and slower they went, and suddenly there was no other sound between heaven and earth, only the sound of their footsteps. ("Peacock Feather, Prodigal Son's Tears") On the second moonlit night, the two were already friends, Gao Li was chased and killed by the enemy, and wanted to borrow the Peacock Feather, the king of hidden weapons, from Qiu Fengwu, but the reputation of Qiu Fengwu's family was tied to the hands of Peacock Ling: The night outside the window was getting thicker.
There was no light in the room yet, and Qiu Fengwu sat quietly in the dark, not even moving her fingertips.
Gao Li could no longer see the expression on his face.
The wind was blowing, and there was already the sound of fallen leaves in the yard.
Autumn is getting deeper, and the oblique moon has hung on the treetops.
Qiu Fengwu still didn't speak or move.
Gao Li didn't say anything anymore, sat up slowly, and found his shoes under the bed.
Qiu Fengwu didn't look up.
Gao Li put on his shoes, slowly walked past him, and quietly pushed the door open. The night outside the door was as cold as water, and his heart was very cold, but he didn't blame Qiu Fengwu.
He knew he was asking too much. He didn't look back at Qiu Fengwu because he didn't want Qiu Fengwu to feel uncomfortable.
He quietly walked out, walked to the yard, picked up a fallen leaf, looked at it, and gently put it down.
Then he felt a hand on his shoulder. ("Peacock Feather, Old Love") On the third moonlit night, Gao Li learned the secret of Peacock Feather, drank the poisonous wine in the hands of his friend, but the moon also disappeared: Late at night, there are no stars and no moon.
The wind was so cold.
Qiu Fengwu slowly walked out and walked into the courtyard.
The leaves of the banyan tree are falling one by one.
He stood still for a long time, as if he had no idea that his wife had come to him. She snuggled up to him gently, and in her mind, heaven and earth would always be so happy and peaceful, so she always wanted others to be equally happy.
After a long time, she asked softly, "What about your friend?"
"Gone. ”
"Why are you leaving?"
Qiu Fengwu didn't answer, but leaned down and picked up a fallen leaf.
He stared at the fallen leaves, and his eyes were filled with that helpless pain and sadness.
How can the leaves be blown off by the wind? ("Peacock Feathers, Not the End") Gu Long's feelings poured into this film are deeper, and as soon as the pen is "helpless", there will be a wonderful pen. The layout of the plot is better than the previous work "Eternal Sword", and the story travels to the end of the mountains and rivers to see the willows and flowers, and the tragic ending of the catastrophe is the finishing touch. The real weapon "confidence" in "Peacock Feather" to defeat the enemy is seamlessly combined with the plot characters and is convincing. This kind of preaching, although straightforward, readers will also listen to it with relish.
The third "Jasper Knife" is the sunniest of all Gu Long's works. What is rare is that it is full of childlike innocence, without pretentiousness, and sincere, and the level is above the "Big Man", which is too "oily". Let's look at the beginning of the work:
Spring, Gangnam.
Duan Yuzheng is a teenager.
The horse is a famous breed of jade-faced blue and white skull, with a distinct, brand-new full saddle bridle.
Beside the saddle hung a knife with a silver swallow, a black turtle skin sheath, and seven emeralds, and the scabbard tapped the brass horseshoe in a series of tinkling sounds, like music.
The clothes and cedars are also brightly colored, very light, very thin, and cut very well.
Now is the late spring of March, when the grass grows in the south of the Yangtze River and the warblers fly wildly. A spring breeze with the fragrance of peach blossoms is blowing across the earth, as gentle as a lover's breath.
The green water rippled in the spring breeze, and a pair of swallows had just flown out of the peach blossom forest and landed on the vermilion railing of the small bridge, whispering and not knowing what to say.
Duan Yu loosened the reins and let the horse under his seat slowly paced across the small bridge, and the warm wind blew in his face, blowing his thin silk green shirt.
In the pocket to the left of this purple shirt was a neatly folded stack of brand-new silver tickets, enough for any young man like him to spend three months comfortably.
He is only nineteen years old this year, and he has just come from the frozen north country to the beautiful south of the Yangtze River.
The swallows on the railing were startled by the horses' hooves, and flew into the depths of the peach blossoms.
Duan Yu took a deep breath, only to feel that he was as relaxed as this swallow, so relaxed that it was almost like he was about to fly. ("Jasper Knife, Jianghu Youth Spring Shirt Thin")
With only a few lines, characters, situations, and interests are all out, such concise, concise and vibrant words are rare in pure literary and artistic works. If "Peacock Feather" is written in late autumn, and Gao Li is the fallen leaves on the branches, fluttering to the ground, then "Jasper Knife" is early spring, and Duan Yu is the flying swallows on the railing, soaring into the sky. The story is narrated, as if taking the reader to spring, and there are beautiful scenery on both sides of the embankment, so there is no need to rush all the way to the end.
The fourth "Amorous Ring", which changes color, is a popular undercover story today. Xiao Shaoying has a hard-hearted heart that is rare for an ancient dragon-style prodigal son, and in order to achieve his own wishes, he even deceived his fellow disciples and brothers into throwing himself into the net, so as to win the trust of his opponent. Surprisingly, Gu Long does not write about the protagonist's thoughts, which makes people think that Xiao is really a traitor to the enemy, and the two of them are the same family, becoming the deceived Fan Yuqi:
Wang Rui fell to the ground, rubbed his face against the cold and hard stone, and suddenly said, "You can't blame him." ”
Yang Lin hissed, "Can't blame him?"
Wang Rui said: "We can only blame ourselves, we shouldn't trust him, he is a despicable and shameless beast!"
He raised his face, his flesh and blood on his face: "We believe in him, haven't we also become animals?"
Yang Lin suddenly laughed, laughing madly: "Yes, I'm a beast, damn beast." ”
He also began to hit his head against the slate, rubbing against it, and his face had become a bloody blur. (Amorous Ring: Conspiracy)
After breaking into the enemy's core, Xiao Shaoying developed feelings for the revenge object Ge Zhixiang as a teacher and friend, and this setting can be regarded as the abyss of Hong Kong-made Jianghu films. The story moves like a storm, and Gu Long seems to be anxious to explain the power of hatred to the reader, so he is less calm. This work is hardly the best in the "Seven Weapons" series.
In the fifth "Overlord Gun", the style has changed to witty and witty. The smart Ding Xi, the angry pony, and a funny old Deng have witty dialogues that make people laugh. Ding Xi and Deng Dinghou, the-for-tat between the underworld thief and the white tycoon, are both enemies and friends, and they are the most suitable pair in Gulong. Out of the martial arts complex of robbing the rich and helping the poor, the characters with great power have always played a negative role in Gulong, but this time there is an exception, Deng Dinghou at the uncle level, whose cuteness is much better than that of the first protagonist. Ding Xi is a commonplace ancient dragon character in us, and the so-called pain and loneliness are also the pain and loneliness of the big road goods, no wonder the limelight was robbed by supporting roles. Gu Long writes with a leisurely pen, often inserting a few reminiscence-style gossip into the fast-moving plot, which is the writer's confidence in his own skills, and also makes the work look more chewy: The chariots and horses are hurrying, and the cold wind is blowing.
Deng Dinghou hung lightly behind the carriage, feeling very satisfied with his skills.
He has been married for many years, and his wife has a thin waist and long legs, and is a woman who needs a lot of money, and after many years of loving life, he can cooperate with him even better, and he has always been very satisfied with her.
But after a woman has given birth, the situation is different.
So in recent years, he has rarely slept at home, and the women outside are always more considerate and younger than his wife.
In this regard, he has always been famous.
God seems to take special care of him, after seven or eight years of absurd life, his physical strength is still very good, his reaction is still sensitive, his body is still vigorous, and he still seems to be a young man.
His wife's waist was much thicker. If a woman's sex life is not satisfied, she will often use "eating" as a vent.
Her temper is getting more and more irritable, and that's because nothing can replace her husband. Although she eats and dresses well, she still has a lot of bitterness in her heart that she can't vent.
Thinking of the lingering love when he first got married, he suddenly felt a sense of guilt for his wife.
He decided that after he went back this time, he must stay at home for a few more days, and maybe have an additional son.
The car trembled, and he suddenly woke up from his fantasy and couldn't help laughing.
"How could I think of such a thing at such a time?"
Why do people always think of something that shouldn't be in some strange situations?
Gossip like this is abrupt but unforgettable. Deng Dinghou's recollection of the branches in this frightening dark night is the most vivid scene in my memory, from the first reading to the present, seeing this, I can't help but nod and smile, as if I see an old friend who knows you well. This is the warmest experience when reading a book: interacting with the author of the iQue, talking at night, and having fun and forgetting.
The sixth "Parting Hook" is gloomy, when the golden age of Gu Long's creation has passed, his imagination and pen power are declining, and although his skills are more refined, he is helpless and weak. Gu Longyun: Parting is for reunion. The doctrine of fate hangs over the whole text. Gu Long wrote two head catchers in the later period, one is Liu Changjie in "Seven Killers", and the other is Yang Zheng in "Parting Hook". The head catcher is a law enforcer in the rivers and lakes, in Liu Changjie, this is just a gimmick, but for Yang Zheng, it is a profession that really throws blood and sweat for it. A little catcher who challenges the hereditary first rank and eventually knocks him off the horse is certainly a story that pleases the audience. seems to be a happy ending, but it can't hide the depressing sadness throughout.
When Di Qinglin lowered his arrogant head, who else would remember the ordinary couple who lost their daughter? With silver and notes in his hand, his eyes looked out the window at the deserted courtyard, where an aging poplar tree had begun to wither, and an old yellow dog crouched in the corner.
The old couple walked out slowly, sat down face to face on two stone benches under the tree, and watched the poplar flowers fall.
They didn't shed a tear.
They have no tears to shed. ("Parting Hook: Scarlet Nails")
Di Qinglin's life had come to an end as early as the curse of the mysterious old man. There seemed to be a mysterious magic in his voice. His blessing to Yang Zheng is a curse on Yang Zheng's enemies.
Di Qinglin, who was hundreds of miles away, seemed to feel an ominous feeling at this moment. ("Parting Hook: Houmen is as Deep as the Sea")
Then Yang Zheng went to the meeting single-handedly, waved the parting hook that carried the unpredictable fate, and grabbed the soul of the hereditary first-class marquis.
At this point in "Seven Weapons", it is time to talk about the fate of the mystery, and it is time to end. Since you can't get rid of depression and exhaustion, it's better to bow freely and step down. The seventh weapon in Gu Long's heart has since become a peerless sound, and the Qinglong boss who is hidden behind the scenes has also become the embodiment of fate, a void that no one can challenge. The prodigal sons fought again and again, won short victories again and again, and they tried to get a glimpse of the truth of their fate, unwilling to surrender to the defeat - or continue to wander, or retreat, or start a family and enjoy the joys of the world, until the last moment, no one knows who the real victor is.
