After that, I made nearly 30,000 words of settings, including a chronology of events, magical settings, imperial history, and so on. When it came time to actually write, I had a hard time. In the grand world view, there are many characters, how can there be a sense of substitution? These problems in writing techniques have caused me trouble. After finding that one-line storytelling and writing from God's perspective didn't satisfy me, I put my pen on hold.

By chance, I read A Song of Ice and Fire, and the point of view character writing technique was refreshing to me. The experiences of several main characters are described through their perspectives, transcending the limitations of time and space in the novel. After that, I decided to practice this writing technique.

However, mastery of writing doesn't happen overnight. I used God's writing technique and viewpoint character writing technique to write two versions of the Book of the Dragon for comparison, but I am still not satisfied.

After that, I got hooked on screenwriting again. Script writing has a reference role in the creation of novels, including the sense of picture and rhythm control in novels. These two novels have been put on hold for a while due to energy, but they have prompted me to become proficient in my writing technique.

In 2016, I came into contact with "The First Law", and I also wrote with a viewpoint character approach, and the character portrayal, rhythm arrangement, and plot reversal are all very commendable. It gave me a lot of references. The third edition of the Cataclysmic Apocalypse began to be written.

During the writing of the third edition of Cataclysmic Apocalypse, China Literature Group launched a fantasy novel essay competition, and I thought of the Book of Dragons, which I had not written many years ago.

After 6 years of exploration, "Book of the Dragon" has a form that I am relatively satisfied with: a grand world view similar to "A Song of Ice and Fire", the general character portrayal of "The First Law", and the setting I already have, the first volume was completed in one go, and the second volume is more than halfway through. What surprised me even more was that I had more than 3,000 words per chapter, and under this word limit, I carefully arranged the rhythm of the plot, and at this time, the experience of script writing helped me again.
