Chapter 57: Fighting Wolves

As the sky darkened, the big-eared monkeys in the trees jumped up and down and returned to their hiding places. Thorne put his hand on the hilt of his sword and stared warily at the pile of leaves in front of him, which shook a few times, and a lizard crawled out, stuck its tongue out at Thorne, and sped down to the ground.

Thorne breathed a sigh of relief, his hand off the hilt of his sword, his eyes still looking around warily. He frowned and said, "Lord Kashu, how long have we been away from the Giant's Cave?"

"A week or so. Cassius stepped over a withered branch, still in his armor, with a shield tied to his left hand and a sword hanging from his waist.

"We haven't encountered a giant pursuer in a week. Do we need to sleep during the day and hurry at night?" Thorne used his sword to break away a pile of bushes, and stepped over it with a heart to let Nora follow.

"I know what you're afraid of, stone pythons, poisonous spiders, leopards, wolves, the night is the world of these animals. Cassiu turned his head and looked at the big-eared monkey perched on a tree, which watched curiously as the three men walked under the tree, and did not leave until its mother bared her teeth and roared.

Thorne headed, and exclaimed: "My lord, you are too powerful, you have beaten a stone python and singled out a leopard, but to be honest, I am an ordinary person, I don't want to rush at night, my vision is not good at night, and there is a lot of danger." ā€

"My eyesight doesn't have magic. Kasiu smiled, and he pointed ahead, "There are a lot of giants during the day, do you remember those two giants we encountered after we escaped from the cave?"

"Of course they were sharing the carcass of a deer, poor deer. Thorne smacked his lips, "I can't figure it out, how could they chase a deer?"

Nora jumped up and sneered, "Thorne, the coward, you think it's the work of giants? No, it's a wolf's bite, and the deer has bite marks on its neck, and that's from the wolf's teeth." ā€

Thorne's eyes widened, and he said in surprise, "Are you sure that it's a wolf?"

Nora snorted and retorted, "The Children of the Forest have lived in the Misty Forest since the ancient centuries. I know these animals like the back of my hand. ā€

"Don't digress, Nora. Cassius interrupted Nora and said to Thorne, "The two giants shared the carcass of the deer, and it wasn't heavy, it was heavy behind them, and there was a bag made of animal skins. If I'm not mistaken, they're hoarding food. ā€

Thorne shuddered and asked, "What do you mean ......?"

"As the giants wake up, the flora and fauna around the giants' caves become scarcer, and their food intake expands. Cassius poked the trunk of a tree standing in the way of the road, and out of it a mouse ran away.

"Hey, do you smell anything?" Nora's eyes brightened in the darkness, her pupils constricted rhythmically, she sniffed, smiled, and ran forward.

"Hell!" Cassiu whispered, "what are you doing?"

Nora turned her back to Cassiu, raised her middle finger, and disappeared into her eyes.

"Damn it!Thorne, why are you teaching her that gesture?" Cassiu's face turned red and white, "The ghost head should be educated." ā€

"My lord, I swear, I didn't teach her rude gestures. Thorne blinked pitifully, "The first time I woke up, she gave me the middle finger, and it took me a long time to understand that she took that gesture as 'hello.'" ā€

"Hah, you mean, she's saying hello to me?" Cassius snorted, picking up his pace and chasing Nora.

"No, I told her, it was an insulting gesture to see the other person unhappy. Thorne blinked, "Obviously, she doesn't like you, you've been calling her a ghost since you got out of the hole." ā€

"Then she looks like an eight-year-old. Cassius shrugged, "Let's go, don't leave the ghost behind." ā€

When catching up with Nora, Cassius was stunned by what he saw. In front of his eyes was a white field, and in the dark night, those whites emitted a faint light. It was the first time he had seen a patch of flowers in the vast forest, the petals of which were white, the buds were budding, and the fragrance was fragrant.

"What kind of flowers are these?" said Kahew, and as soon as Cassiu finished speaking, Nora put her index finger to her mouth and motioned for Cassiu to speak softly.

"What is she doing?" Thorne asked Cassiu, confused.

Nora closed her eyes and placed her left hand in front of her left ear, which fanned slightly. She sniffled and smiled, "They're singing." ā€

"What?, the flowers are singing?" Cassiu squatted down and looked carefully at the flower in front of him, the buds of this flower slowly opened, and with a bang, the petals completely unfolded, and the pollen flew up and stuck to Cassiu's face.

"Ahem, ahem. Cassius coughed and sneezed, ", how can flowers sing!"

"Bang bang bang ......" sounded one after another, and those flowers bloomed one by one, and the pale yellow pollen emitted light and floated in the air. When the wind blows, the white flowers sway gently.

"It's beautiful. Thorne exclaimed, "It's so beautiful." What kind of flowers are these?"

"I hate them anyway, Ahhhhh Cassius replied, then shook his head, "Pollen makes my nose allergic. ā€

"Hey, Night Cry. Nora clapped her hands and laughed, "In ancient legends, encountering the night cry flower blooming will bring good luck. ā€

"Oh, I hope so. "Ahh ā€

"Good idea!" Nora divided five by two, plucked a few, and put one on her head, and one in her hand, and stuck it on Kassiu's head.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Cassius dodged.

Nora stood on tiptoe, out of reach, and screamed, "Get down!"

"No! never!" Cassius shook his head, "the girl is arranging flowers on her head." ā€

"Bring good luck. "Nora didn't give up.

Thorne stood in one place, drew his dagger and interrupted Cassius and Nora's laughter with a loud roar, "Hey, there's a wolf!"

A gray wolf glared into the green dark eyes, and it let out a low growl, arching its back, staring at Thorne. On the other side of it, another wolf appeared, thin but cunning.

The gray wolf pounced, and Thorne let out a loud cry and stepped back. Cassiu ran over, the shield in his hand instantly enlarged, blocking the gray wolf's lunge, his claws making a piercing grinding sound against the metal shield.

The gray wolf's two front paws pressed against the shield, stretched out its neck, and bit at Kaxiu, who blocked the gray wolf's fatal bite with his sword. Thorne stumbled to his feet.

"Protect Nora!" Cassius shouted. The gray wolf shook his head, he quickly let go, and the short sword was thrown aside by the gray wolf.

The skinny wolf rushes at Cassiu, and they try to take him down together. Kasiu waved his hand, but the fire elemental ignored him. The moment the wolf bit him, he turned the armor of his right arm into another shield, and the wolf slammed into his right shield.

After this wave of attacks from the two wolves missed, they hunched their backs and stared at Cassiu.

"Why are they staring at me?" Cassius gasped and laughed at himself, "I'm more handsome?"

"No, they're holding you back. Thorne pointed to his left, "Damn, two wolves again!"

Kashu held two shields alof, and the two wolves pounced from the left and right directions, and he turned the shields into huge rectangular shields, blocking the second wave of attacks. He lowered his back, and his whole body was almost knocked down.

"Compared to the giants, your strength is too great. Cassius defiantly asked, he didn't care if they could understand it.

A wolf pounced on Thorne, who subconsciously raised his left hand to block it, and stabbed his sword at the wolf with his right hand. The wolf pounced on Thorne's shoulder, knocking him to the ground, and pressed his front paws on Thorne's shoulder.

"Damn!" Cashew flew out of his round shield, which struck the wolf in the head, and the wolf whimpered and jumped away.

The two wolves pounced on Cassius together. Cassius roared, his armor detached from his body and turned into two long swords, he used all his strength to slash the sword into the belly of the gray wolf, the thin wolf pounced, he slashed into the wolf's neck with a sword, and blood splashed all over him.

Thorne picked up Cassiu's shield and blocked the bite of the third wolf, and the fourth wolf roared into the sky, and for a while, the wolf howled one after another.

"We're surrounded by wolves!" Nora screamed, "we need to get out!"

Cassiu's armor returned to its original form and returned to him, picking up his dagger from the ground and charging at the third wolf. Seeing that the situation was not good, the wolf gave up Thorne and ran far away.

"Tree! we have to go up the tree!" Thorne suggested.

The three wolves appeared in Kasiu's field of vision, and he turned his weapon into a shield with spikes, and said, "I'm broken!

He fended off a wolf's bite, the spikes causing the wolf's jaw to bleed, and the other pounced, swinging his right hand so hard that his shield hit the wolf's nose. He was glad that the armor he wore and the armor in his hand were made of a mixture of arcane crystals and steel, and the magical power contained in the metal armor and armor was enough to mitigate the damage to his body from the outside world.

The third wolf bit his leg, and although the armor protected him from biting through the muscles, the wolf's huge bite pulled at his muscles and joints, and he quickly smashed his shield down, and the wolf clenched on.

"Let go!" Cassiu roared, not wanting his left leg to be bitten off, and with all the strength of his upper body, he turned the shield in his right hand into a short sword and stabbed it into the wolf's abdomen. The wolf let out a scream and let go.

"Cassiu! Cassiu!" Thorne cried out.

"I'm fine!" Cassiu's eyes were covered with wolf blood, blurring his vision, looking at the half-dead wolves on the ground, even he was amazed, after fighting the giants, his strength and skills were stronger than before.

He breathed a sigh of relief, moved his hands and feet, and found that he didn't hurt his muscles and bones, and couldn't help laughing: "I'm fine, Thorne, I'm still alive, it's very good." ā€

Thorne lay on the branch and pointed into the distance tremblingly: "It's not you, it's Nora, she was taken away by a wolf." (To be continued.) )
