Chapter 631: The Future Myanmar Must Have an Ally!
As a political figure, Aung San Suu Kyi is of course somewhat involved in geopolitical affairs.
At the same time, she is also soberly aware that today's world belongs to the oil age. This makes the Persian Gulf region of particular strategic importance in the coming decades. It also means that the Middle East will be one of the most eventful, unstable and dangerous regions in the world, and one of the most important in the world.
However, Aung San Suu Kyi never linked Myanmar to the Persian Gulf. She is only looking for Myanmar's development in Southeast Asia, and her biggest goal in the future is to surpass Singapore.
At this moment, listening to the strategic positioning of the legendary Sir Yang on the future of Myanmar, the shock in her heart is beyond the description of pen and ink.
From Sir Young's clear description of the Indian Ocean strategy, it is enough to prove that this grand strategy was by no means a whim of him, but has been planned for a long time.
Thinking of the global layout of Tiangong Group from the beginning of its establishment, Aung San Suu Kyi was suddenly surprised to find that Sir Yang Da Kyi's initial investment in Kenya and Somalia, including later China and Northern Burma, was already paving the way for his current plan for the Indian Ocean.
The miraculous speed and scale of development in northern Myanmar is due not only to the vast and cheap human resources of North Africa and the Chinese continent, but also to the energy treasure trove of the Persian Gulf and the mineral treasure trove of Central and Southern Africa.
Unconsciously, Northern Burma is quietly advancing towards "two great treasures on which the West depends".
At the same time, an inexplicable sense of crisis was born in Aung San Suu Kyi's heart.
If Northern Burma. Or is it that the reunified Burma will really collide head-on with the two world hegemons of the United States and the Soviet Union in the future, and Sir Yang does not want to drag the people of all ethnic groups in Myanmar into the abyss of war?
As soon as this idea was born, it grew uncontrollably in Aung San Suu Kyi's heart.
"Your Excellency, do you really think that Burma has the strength to compete with the two superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union?" asked Aung San Suu Kyi, looking at Yang Weiping calmly.
"What if I unite with the Soviet Union and jointly confront the United States?" Yang Weiping seemed to have known that Aung San Suu Kyi would be worried, and said with a confident smile: "The Soviet Union now seems to have occupied Afghanistan on the surface and opened the door to the Persian Gulf. In fact, there were words of suffering at the top of the Soviet Union. Because the United States and Britain absolutely cannot sit idly by and watch the Soviet Union turn Afghanistan into a Soviet republic.
In particular, after the Chinese mainland stands on the same side as the United States and Britain, the Soviet Union's life in Afghanistan will become more and more difficult. If the Soviet Union's plans in Afghanistan could not be realized, the Soviet Union's plan to get involved in the Persian Gulf would inevitably fail. Although now all the great powers of the world are afraid of the red expansion of the USSR. But. I'm not afraid!"
Speaking of this, Yang Weiping showed an unfathomable smile on his face, and said in a deep voice: "Not only am I not worried about the expansion of the Soviet Union into the Indian Ocean, on the contrary. I will do my best to help the USSR in the destruction of Western industrial machinery. Although the United States is only partially dependent on imports of oil and strategic minerals. But Europe and Japan are absolutely dependent on overseas sources.
Half of America's oil is imported. However, Europe's imports reached 85 percent, and Japan's imports reached 100 percent. As for minerals, Western Europe imports 80 percent. Japan's imports reached more than 95 percent. A small disruption of imports would only cause inconvenience and annoyance to the United States, but it could cause panic among America's industrialized allies.
It can be seen that the important raw materials of the Western industrial countries are dependent on foreign sources. However, this is one of the main vulnerabilities in northern Myanmar at the moment. It is precisely on the basis of this inherent instability of many sources of production that determines our national strategy and that of the Soviet Union in regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Most Americans are as unfamiliar with African geographies as they are with southern-level maps. Most of them do not know Mali and Malawi, they do not know where Somalia or Eritrea are, and they do not know why events there may determine the future of the world.
They can't say where places like South Yemen, Oman, the Strait of Hormuz, Bahrain or Qatar are. However, this place, and other places like them, is immensely important for the interests of the United States and for the interests of the West. They are of vital strategic importance for us and the Soviet Union to achieve strategic dominance in the future. It is precisely because of the ignorance or lack of interest of the United States in these places that we and the USSR are already one step ahead of them at the starting line.
If the penetration of the USSR into Africa with our help continues to be successful, then the USSR will make a lot of progress in its larger strategy. This grand strategy is to encircle the 'city' of the world, so that the industrialized West will not be able to obtain the resources on which it depends. Even in the resource-rich United States, there are several basic resources that are essential to the modern economy that are also dependent on imports. For example, the metal chromium.
When many people mention chrome, they think more of the high-end decoration on the car. However, for strategic planners, chromium means ball bearings, precision instruments, missiles and other strategic materials. A jet requires more than three thousand six hundred pounds of chromium.
Without chromium, there would be no high-quality aero engines, and without chromium, stainless steel would not be produced. The long-term vulnerability of the United States to chromium is greater than its vulnerability to oil. The amount of chrome ore reserves in the continental United States is small and of poor quality. More than 90 percent of the chromium needed in the United States must be imported.
Ninety-six percent of the world's known chrome ore is found in the Federation of South Africa and Zimbabwe-Rhodesia. Eight years ago, the mining company under my Tiangong Group had already enclosed a large amount of land in this area and obtained the right to prospect and exploit minerals.
It was also from that time that the Soviet Union and I had a tacit understanding of intervening in the countries of southern Africa. and a consensus was reached on the various targets of intervention. As far as I know, the Soviet Union's actions in the international arena were rarely purposeless, and their goals were always strategic and never had any moral overtones.
According to the estimates of authoritative sources in the mining companies under the Tiangong Group, the Republic of South Africa alone owns one-tenth of the world's asbestos, three-quarters of the world's chrome ore, more than half of the world's platinum metals, half of the world's gold, one-third of manganese ore, one-fifth of uranium ore, and one-third of diamond. It is simply a treasure trove of minerals of inestimable strategic and economic importance.
Copper and cobalt from Zaire, chromium from Rhodesia, gold, diamonds, manganese and platinum from South Africa were some of the national economic bets that the Soviet Union had wagered on southern Africa. Moscow has taken control of the excellent ports of Angola and Mozambique on both sides of the Cape of Good Hope.
If South Africa were under the control of the Soviet Union, they would be able to control the sea routes near the Cape of Good Hope, and 70 percent of the strategic raw materials and 80 percent of the oil needed by the European countries of NATO would be transported by sea. South Africa is also a major economic power on the continent, providing 40 percent of Africa's industrial production and 25 percent of agricultural production alone.
At present, Reagan and Margaret Thatcher are fully aware of this strategic deployment of the Soviet Union, and the United States, Britain, and other NATO members are plotting how to resolve this potential crisis. Their ultimate goal was to use Moscow's global bets to unite and turn the Soviet Union into the biggest loser, thereby disintegrating the Soviet Union's national economy.
Once the Soviet Union is brought to the end by their joint efforts, there is no doubt that we will also be the next target of their strangulation. So we had to do something. Try to reduce the pressure on the Soviet Union as much as possible and add more chaos to the United States. In fact, from the day when the US imperialists intervened in Myanmar's internal affairs, forcibly drew the 20th parallel, and split Myanmar into two countries, the North and the South, the US imperialists have been my biggest imaginary enemy!
In this world, if we want to deal with US imperialism, we must cooperate with the Soviet Union! Otherwise, we will not be able to measure ourselves and bring about our own destruction! Of course, the polar bear of the Soviet Union is not a good man and a woman. We have to work closely with him, but we also have to be on the lookout for them at all times, lest they be sold and count their money. ”
"What about Huaxia?" Aung San Suu Kyi stared at Yang Weiping without blinking, and suddenly asked, "Where did you cooperate with the Soviet Union and place Huaxia?"
"There are never eternal allies or eternal enemies in this world, only eternal interests. Yang Weiping smiled without hesitation and said: "As long as I let Huaxia get the benefits they want in northern Burma, with the national policy that the Huaxia mainland is now promoting, at least within fifty years, they will not become our opponents." ”
"The interests you are referring to are the South Asia Railway that is about to be completed, right?" Aung San Suu Kyi looked at Yang Weiping with deep meaning in her eyes and asked: "Once this railway artery connecting the southwestern provinces of China is opened, China's plan for the large-scale development of the western region, which was originally stopped, will definitely be restarted." This is of inestimable significance to the economic reforms that China is implementing. ”
"Don't you think that being friendly to China is far more suitable for the current and future development of Northern Burma than dealing with China?" Yang Weiping smiled deeply: "An oriental nation with 5,000 years of civilization and history, once they embark on a correct development path suitable for them, the amazing power that erupts from it will be greater than that of nuclear fusion!"
"As far as I know, there are two completely different ideas in the current Chinese continent that are colliding fiercely. Aung San Suu Kyi said thoughtfully: "Sir Sir, you have worked in China for a period of time, and you were still in a very important leadership position for the Chinese government at that time.......
