Chapter 126: Wang Ruoyun faints
Brothers are harmonious, friends are honest
——Chen Ziang, "Motto"
The important thing between brothers is harmony, and honesty between friends is very important
Filial piety lies in quality, not in appearance
It is to warn children to treat their parents with their own hearts to really use their own hearts to influence them, to give their parents a villa, a fortune, this is only material, and what parents really need is the companionship and love of their children, the elderly are very lonely, isn't it? If they only do a thorough job in etiquette, and lack respect and love in their hearts, they are not really filial to their parents.
There is a story that on an isolated island in the middle of the sea, there lives a mother crow and three newborn baby crows. The little crow grows up day by day under the care and nurturing of its mother. However, due to the change of climate, the weather was suddenly cold, and the mother crow realized that she had to bring all the crows back to the sea within a few days, otherwise they would not survive. However, the little crows are simply not capable of flying, let alone such a long journey. One by one, the mother crows took them to the other side of the sea, and they set off. After the mother crow flew most of the way with the first little crow, the mother crow gradually felt that her strength was exhausted, and she was about to lose her hand. So the mother crow asked the first little crow, "When I am old, will you serve me?" The little crow, fearing that he would be drowned in the sea, replied without thinking: "Of course, I will serve you with all my heart." The mother crow sighed, couldn't hold on, let go of her claws, and the little crow was swept away by the waves. The mother crow flew back to the nest. The second little crow set out and asked the same question when the mother crow was in full strength. The second one was also afraid of drowning, so he hurriedly replied, "Yes, yes, I will serve you until I am old." The mother crow sighed, and finally because she couldn't hold on, the second one was swallowed up by the endless sea. Only the last little crow remained, and the mother crow asked the question again, and the little crow said unhurriedly, "No." "Why?" asked the she-crow rhetorically. "Let go of me, mother can live better" So, the mother crow flapped her wings with the last strength of her body, and finally reached the other side of the sea safely. Do you have any feelings? The so-called "filial piety lies in quality, not in appearance." "How many people in today's society treat their parents with their own hearts to influence them? Giving their parents a villa and a fortune is only material, and what parents really need is the companionship and love of their children, and the elderly are already very lonely, aren't they? If they only do a thorough job in etiquette and lack respect and love in their hearts, they cannot be regarded as truly honoring their parents. Then we should "do everything to their parents." "Do your best to honor your parents and care for every elderly person around you. Because on the parents' accounts, we are forever full of deficits. Students, when you babble, stumble, and understand things, do your parents always tell you this, you that? Are you tired of listening to their nagging? And now do you realize that their nagging is a long time of concern and care? Do you have to tell your mother the opposite? Do you think of her as a child? Do you notice that when you stand in the snow with your mother, the footprints you leave sink deeply, and your mother's is shallow, do you feel a kind of strength? You grow up and your mother is old. This is the reincarnation of family affection. The vicissitudes of the world, the years are ruthless, and people are affectionate, your love will soothe the wrinkles on your parents' foreheads. However, "the most beautiful is sunset red", take care of this beauty. Postscript: I'm afraid of getting old, but I still have to respect the elderly. Because respecting the elderly is respecting the future self. A friend once told me that everyone will grow old one day. I hope he doesn't forget what he said. I'm about to leave this city, the city where my parents are, just for love. I am unfilial. I know. I will always be burdened with this heavy deficit.
Zi said: 'Those who love their relatives dare not be evil to others, and those who respect their relatives dare not be slow to others.' ’
Confucius said, 'To love your parents, you must first love you.'" I don't dare to be a little disgusted with other people's parents. If you want to respect your own parents, you must be respectful, and you must not be humble with other people's parents.'"
There is no ambition without indifference, and there is no far-reaching ambition without tranquility. From the "Book of Commandments" written by Zhuge Liang when he was 54 years old to his 8-year-old son Zhuge Zhan.
Zhuge Caolu Zhongmen Lian: Indifferent to Mingzhi, quiet and far-reaching This couplet is from the 37th Ergu Caolu. Liu, Guan, and Zhang entered Zhuge Caolu with the boy, and when they arrived at the middle gate, Liu Bei saw a big book on the door. The gist of it is: only by not pursuing fame and fortune and living a simple and simple life can we show our own interests; and only by not pursuing excitement and being in a peaceful and quiet state of mind can we achieve lofty goals. Through this couplet, Zhuge Liang's noble virtue is revealed. There are two sentences in Zhuge Liang's "Book of Commandments": "If you are not indifferent, you will not have a clear ambition, and if you are not quiet, you will not be far-reaching." Originally, it was a valve sentence, but the author replaced the original form of negation with an affirmative sentence, and used it as the door of Zhuge Caolu. But it is still an even sentence rather than a dual sentence, and it is extremely dissonant.
The trip of a husband and a gentleman is to cultivate oneself quietly and to cultivate virtue through frugality. There is no ambition without indifference, and there is no far-reaching ambition without tranquility. The husband must learn quietly, only then must learn, non-learning can not be broad, non-ambition can not learn. If you are slow and slow, you will not be able to excite your sperm, and if you are impatient, you will not be able to cure your sex. The year and the time are gone, the intention and the day are gone, and then they become withered, and they will not receive the world, and they will be sad and poor, what will be the return!
Translation: Moral cultivators are cultivated in this way, they make themselves perfect by meditating and introspecting, and cultivate their noble character by frugality and saving. If you are not clear, you will not be able to make your ambitions clear and firm, and if you are not stable and quiet, you will not be able to realize your lofty ideals and study hard for a long time. In order to acquire true knowledge, it is necessary to make the body and mind study and explore in tranquility, and people's talents are accumulated through continuous study; without hard work, they cannot increase and develop their talents; and without unswerving will, they cannot succeed in their studies. Indulgence in debauchery, passivity and sluggishness will not motivate the mind and lift the spirit, and risk-taking, sloppiness, and impatience will not cure the noble temperament. If the years and years are wasted, and the volunteer time is wasted, it will eventually age day by day like dead branches and leaves. Such a person will not be used by society and benefit society, but can only be sadly trapped in his own poor house, and it will be too late to regret it at that time. "If you are not indifferent, you will not be ambitious, and if you are not quiet, you will not be far-reaching. From the "Book of Commandments" written by Zhuge Liang when he was 54 years old to his 8-year-old son Zhuge Zhan. This is not only a summary of Zhuge Liang's life experience, but also a requirement for his son. Here Zhuge Liang uses the sentence structure of "double negation", which expresses his teachings and infinite expectations for his son in a strong and euphemistic tone. In modern parlance: "If you don't take the fame and fortune in front of you lightly, you won't have a clear ambition, and if you can't study calmly and serenely, you won't be able to achieve lofty goals."
Through the above analysis, we can see that Zhuge Liang used the "law of negation of negation" in "Logic" to emphasize the "indifference to clear ambition, tranquility and ambition". This is a philosophical statement. This is the same as the principle of "if you want to take it, you must first go with it" and "if you want to achieve your goal, you need to take a detour first", and the current "indifference" and "tranquility" seek purity, and do not want to do anything, but through learning "Mingzhi", establish lofty ambitions, and when the time is ripe, you can "go far" and do a vigorous career.
"Indifference" is an ancient Taoist thought, "Lao Tzu" once said that "tranquility is superior, victory is not beautiful". Later generations have always inherited and appreciated this artistic conception of "tranquility and tranquility", such as Bai Juyi in the poem "Asking Autumn Light", "The body and mind turn to tranquility, and the smoke scene is indifferent". He reflects the author's long-term and broad realm of no distractions, concentrating and being comfortable, not limited to immediate gains and losses

This article is excerpted from "Zhuge Liang Collection" as a family motto. The main purpose of the whole text is to persuade his son to study diligently and be determined, and he must work hard from talking about tranquility, and the most taboo is absurd and dangerous, that is, he will fight to the death. These words may seem cliché, but out of the love of father and son, they are different.
