What is the mold used for?

In industrial production, various molds and tools used to obtain the required products by injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, die-casting or forging molding, smelting, stamping and other methods are molds.

In a nutshell, a mold is a tool used to make molded items, and this kind of tool is made up of various parts, and different molds are made up of different parts.

It mainly realizes the processing of the shape of the item through the change of the physical state of the molded material. It is known as the "mother of industry".

As far as you can see, the car door, engine cover, tailgate, instrument panel, interior plastic parts and other parts are all processed through molds.

Like bumper molds and engine hood molds, if they correspond to mass production parts, they are all "iron lumps" weighing more than ten tons at every turn, and many of the materials used in the mold core are imported.

In 2007, almost half of the important molds of the Celestial Empire joint venture were imported from abroad, and there were seven or eight hundred thousand sets at every turn.

Parts like the engine cover generally need four sets of molds of blanking die, drawing die, shaping die and trimming die, and only after four processes can a coil of steel plate be turned into a part.

This is just a hood, and the mold cost of the entire car is estimated to be more than a billion, or even more.

Of course, with the rapid development of domestic mold technology, in ten years, the price of molds will have to be cut at least in half, maybe more than that.

Although the prototype will not be opened according to the requirements of mass production, even if it is a simple mold, the price is not cheap.

A 1 million mass production mold, its simple trial mold, how can it cost 100,000, or even more.

Just make so many parts at a time, and the cost of 100,000 yuan is spread to these few parts, and the apportionment fee of the mold alone is more than 10,000 yuan.

Of course, not every sample has to be re-made every time it is trial-made, and only those that have changes every time are needed.

So, in fact, about forty or fifty parts of each simple mold will be apportioned.

Even so, a hundred thousand yuan is apportioned to forty or fifty parts, and the apportionment of each part is two or three thousand yuan.

And the mass production price of such a part may only cost fifty or sixty yuan.

Mass production of fifty or sixty pieces, two or three thousand samples, which is why a hundred thousand yuan of economic car, its prototype cost as high as five or six million.

In short, to put it mildly, it means that the development of cars is actually very expensive, especially positive research and development, not to mention whether you will or not, even if you will, you have to have money.

If it is a reverse development and copying the models of other manufacturers, the number and number of prototype trials can be greatly reduced, which not only saves time, but also saves a lot of development costs.

This is also the reason why many emerging independent brands will adopt reverse development.

According to Jiang Hui's arrangement, Guanghui Automobile is now also taking a clever approach, which can be regarded as borrowing Land Rover models for reverse development, so the development progress is relatively fast.
