Chapter 3: The Lost Dream of Pride
Evenson came to the cafeteria, which was nothing special as usual, but there were two posters on the wall, one commemorating the xx year of the World Anti-Fascist War. Pen & Fun & Pavilion www.biquge.info This is normal, after all, World War II was too tragic, and there is nothing strange about commemorating it. But another poster shocked Evenson beyond measure.
The poster shows a man in a tight-fitting suit, mostly in an American flag, blue with stars and stripes. And he also held a round shield, the shield was also blue with a red circle, and there was a big five-pointed star in the middle. Seeing the portrait on the poster, Evenson felt bad, and looked up at the title, and was more sure of what he had in mind.
The title is, commemorating the xx years of Captain America's death, and there is a line of small print underneath, Veterans Never Die, May Freedom and Glory Be with You.
"Captain America, it's Captain America, how can this be?" Evenson muttered a little sluggishly, and then he finished his breakfast and returned to his room. He covered his face with his hands and buried his head in his knees. Seriously reminiscing about his memories in this world for 14 years.
Through his recollections, he realized that this was indeed not some prank, and that he did have an impression of Captain America in his memory, but he didn't notice it at first.
Captain America Steve Rogers, the only successful example of the U.S. government's Super Soldier program during World War II, leads his special team to the battle, crushing the plans of the evil Nazi organization Hydra and killing its leader, the Red Skull. In itself, it is regarded as a symbol of the American spirit, the greatest hero of the United States since its founding.
This is Evenson's memory of Captain America, and at the same time the official propaganda of the U.S. government. But according to the memories of his previous life, Captain America is not dead, and he should still be holding the Cosmic Cube frozen under the ice.
However, through this incident, Evenson finally figured out the nature of this world. This is not the United States that I knew in my previous life at all, but the United States of the Marvel world.
"Alas, the dream was shattered before it even began. Evenson lamented, he was going to look up to many predecessors who had crossed the world, and come to a [American xx], but the cruel reality shattered many of his dreams with a breakfast.
Because it's the Marvel world here. The world can be summed up in one word, pits, like Azeroth. Not to mention Thanos, who has been hiding behind the scenes, and is estimated to be able to compete with Sargeras, as well as those who are called gods in the Nine Kingdoms of Asgard, just talking about the strength on the earth is enough to make people shudder.
Hulk, who can play the evil god Loki as a yo-yo, and Iron Man, who is invulnerable, and Iron Man, think about it, these Evensons really don't think he has anything special.
Of course, Captain America is still under the ice, Hulk is still playing peek-a-boo with his old father-in-law, Iron Man has not yet been born, and Thor is still fighting little monsters in Asgard.
But the almost omnipresent and all-encompassing S.H.I.E.L.D. is a behemoth, the pinnacle of secular power.
Walking down the street, I don't know where a feathered arrow shot by an eagle's eye will fly over, take a sip of water, God knows if there is one in it, and be poisoned by our public lover Black Widow with a drop that can poison more than a dozen people. In other words, as soon as I woke up in the morning, I found a large group of heavily armed American GIs, carrying long guns and short cannons, squatting in front of their homes.
These things, as long as you want to be a dragon arrogant, mess around, fight monsters, upgrade people, kill people and grab treasures, and make S.H.I.E.L.D. feel that you are an unstable factor for world peace, it is completely possible.
As for taking the initiative to join S.H.I.E.L.D.? Okay, for the sake of your special abilities, you are allowed to join. You'll then be trained to be a full-fledged agent. You will have the right to do so, and you will be subject to the supervision and orders of S.H.I.E.L.D. What? You want to be like Iron Man, Tony Stark. Joke, you grew up in an orphanage, and you have no relatives, no reason, and no social status, and you are also worthy of negotiating conditions with S.H.I.E.L.D. Either be an agent honestly, or go to the lab and be experimented.
As for saying that you know the future, ask for special treatment. That's even better, as long as you are sure that your ability is true, then you will be locked up in a hundred floors underground, in a room made of vibranium, and then there will be at least one armored brigade outside, and it is estimated that one and a nuclear bomb will be buried underneath to prevent any uncontrollable consequences. And then you'll spend the rest of your life in this room, every day under the test of a hundred polygraph machines, saying everything you know. People who don't have level 8 clearance probably don't know about your existence, and people who don't have level 10 permission can't meet you.
Don't think that if S.H.I.E.L.D. is a positive organization, it will be kind like the Virgin. In their brains, where rational logic is more than personal emotion, human life is addition and subtraction. They don't care about sacrificing you for a happy world.
If you don't believe me, you can just look at those superheroes.
Captain America, he has always been on the orders of S.H.I.E.L.D., and he is used to obeying orders as a soldier.
The war machine, myself a colonel in the Air Force, belongs to the US military.
Black Widow and Hawkeye, who are themselves high-ranking agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
These are under the control of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the military, and the rest of the ones.
Hulk, the U.S. military was beaten by him, and he was angry and a block.
Thor, the god of thunder, is on par with the Hulk in strength, which is not easy to do, and he himself has something to do with the crown prince of Asgard, and if he doesn't do it well, it may lead to an interstellar war.
Iron Man Tony Stark, he himself is a world-renowned rich man, a big scientist, and a big philanthropist, this is not an identity that can be easily moved, and although Tony will shirk, he will still cooperate with S.H.I.E.L.D., and the most important thing is that he has a big move, my dad is Howard.
See, those who are not awesome enough are already on errands in S.H.I.E.L.D. or the military. Those who don't mess with S.H.I.E.L.D. either have a big status in the world and are already cooperating with S.H.I.E.L.D. in many ways, such as Iron Man. Either the strength is awesome, and the background is even more awesome, such as childcare. Non-violent non-cooperation like the Hulk, violence and non-cooperation, anyway, there is no backstage for non-cooperation, and the cliff is the strength that can beat all the disobedience below the atmosphere. But he was still driven all over the world, hiding incognito in the slums.
And Evenson is now, strength, thirty questions a day, three or four years, and he can deal with Captain America. If you meet the Hulk, you should hurry up and tie your soul stone to yourself. Status, what is your status as an orphan who grew up in an orphanage, there are no more than 20 people who know you.
As for the backstage, I don't know if the Burning Legion counts as his backstage, if it does, he may die a little faster. This is much more evil than Hydra.
So now Evenson's decision is to keep a low profile. At least until he had Captain America's strength, he didn't want to attract anyone's attention.
"Alas, look at the running in the sunset, that is my lost dream" Thinking that there will never be that again, the male head bows to the brainless, and the female is impressed at a glance, with a nymphomaniac life, Evenson couldn't help but lament again.
