432.5 White Dragon (short)
Enid sat in the corner of the basement with a blanket.
She clasped her hands around her knees and stared at the wall with her eyes blank.
The arm holding the glass reached out from behind her left.
Nelly tilted her head sideways and said:
"Saliva?"
Enid numbly reached out and took the water glass:
"I'm sorry. ”
nelly says:
"It's not your fault. ”
Enid didn't refute.
She knew it was her fault:
"It's a matter of nature. ”
What is evil is always evil.
Nelly took a sip of orange herself:
"We are human beings, and we harness animal nature. ”
Enid says:
"Not beastliness, but something equal to human nature, not a part, but a whole, and my problems cannot be overcome by reason. ”
nelly says:
"You haven't always been like this, it's the blood of the white dragon that has changed you, that's not the real you. ”
Enid pulled the blanket a little tighter:
"How do you know?"
nelly says:
"Haven't you calmed down now? Aren't you feeling sorry and guilty for what you just did?"
Enid nodded slightly.
nelly says:
"You're still human. ”
Enid says:
"But how much of my guilt and apologies are genuine? I can't be sure, maybe they all come from what I've heard since I was a child.
"Maybe they're just because I've crossed the boundaries set by others, not because I've hurt you. ”
Enid turned her head and looked at Nelly with red eyes:
"Will I have ......
"Can't be saved?"
nelly says:
"You haven't committed any great sin, why do you need salvation. ”
Enid says:
"Sin is already in my blood. ”
Nelly looked at Veronica.
She shook her head, signaling that there was nothing she could do.
Nelly faced the guy who wanted to kill her just now, and she could only comfort her briefly.
Nelly left Enid where she was and turned to walk over to Veronica.
"Did you just summon the undead?"
Veronica says:
"I told them to stop Enid. ”
Nelly asked:
"Is there any undead over there?"
Veronica's answer was crisp:
"No, not one. ”
Nelly guessed.
She turned her head to look at Enid again.
The White Dragon Maiden is still immersed in her emotions.
Hola stayed in another corner of the basement.
She didn't approach Enid on her own initiative.
Nelly looked up at Veronica.
The revenant princess didn't seem to want to say anything.
Nelly quietly moved in the direction of Hora.
Hara didn't know if she heard footsteps, and when Nelly was still some distance away from her, the girl turned her head.
It wasn't until Nelly was close enough to be safe enough that Hola whispered:
"I can't help her. ”
Hola hesitated and said:
"Her mother may be able to, Hervin may be able to, but I can't do it anyway. ”
Nelly wondered why Hola would say that.
It was normal that she couldn't help Enid, but she said she should have done the same.
Hara thought about becoming Hevin.
But her instincts told her that it wasn't going to work out, it would make things worse.
Makkinis are able to sense other people's emotions.
Enid can too.
Of course, the Makkini's technique is far more mature than Enid's instinctive perception, but if Hara does turn into someone else approaching Enid, this mutual perception will definitely expose her.
This is still on the premise that her actions are useful.
To be honest, she doesn't really know how to save humanity.
She's just a girl.
