It's not difficult to dig a pit, but it's a lot of effort to dig a pit that can hold wild boars or large predators and keep them out of it.

If you really dig such a big hole, with a knife or axe in your hand, it will not take more than two days to dig it, and it will be a fool's dream.

It took more than half a day to bury the pits of these walls and tree trunks and pillars, and they were only a few tens of centimeters deep. Even if you dig more than a meter deep, maybe the wild boar can easily jump out.

However, this method does not work, so you have to start the second plan, the key to this plan is that the materials required are not particularly large, and the process is relatively convenient and not very troublesome. The disadvantage is that this method has only been used by others, but I have never tried it myself, and whether it is useful for wild boars will be known until I have tried it.

I went back to the tree house and took out the cable, there were still a lot of cables left, this trap was not impossible without cables, and it would be useless if I used vines.

After making a gesture on the edge of a large tree on the side, I started to try to make it, but the problem immediately appeared. The cable may not be enough, so I brought another tree trunk from the yard, in fact, at that time, the people used bamboo, but I didn't have it. So you have to find a replacement first.

A replacement was soon found, the trunk of a small tree, although it could be hollowed out like bamboo. But its role is also limited to preventing the bite of the lassoed prey. Whether it is a wild boar or other large animal, once it is bitten by a dead end, the cable may not be able to withstand it. In order to ensure that nothing goes wrong, this trunk was found.

Then there is the key to the trap, the cable is relatively long, so most of it was wrapped around the tree, leaving only about two meters in length. The trunk was cut with an axe to a length of about one and a half meters, and this section was the thickest part of the tree.

Then use vines to trap this small trunk of about 1.5 meters on the big tree, of course, if you only tie one end, the other end will definitely fall off. But the other end was supported by the thin section I had cut from the small trunk.

After fixing the small trunk, the next step begins, one end of the cable is firmly tied to the big tree, and the other end is tied by me with a live buckle! Then the cable is wrapped around this small trunk of about 1.5 meters, and the live buckle hangs at the front end of the small trunk.

This small trunk is about a meter above the ground, and only a 50 cm diameter looper hangs at the very front of the trunk, and this looper is off the ground, which is also the most critical.

The function of this live buckle is to put the neck of a wild boar or other large animal. The more they struggle, the tighter the buckle will be, and after they have no hope of breaking free, they will definitely find a way to bite off the cable, and the purpose of the small trunk is to prevent them from biting directly into the cable.

After looking back and forth, I did a simulation with my hands, and it was really easy to use, and it was almost exactly what I imagined. As long as a large animal sets foot on it, it is likely that it will be a disaster for them.

The location of this trap is arranged in the place where it was broken the night before. There is also a reason for placing it here, because there is a forest right in front of this location, and most importantly, there is a trail in the woods, which is obviously caused by frequent trampling.

This trail is likely to be a foraging trail for wild boars or other animals, and of course I didn't want to provoke them for no reason, so the bait was not released. But in order to prevent this trap from falling through, or to prevent the approaching beasts from running around, I also made a path in the ground with a twig.

The branches fanned out around the trap, and the branches I chose were all over fifty centimeters, so that once a beast walked into the fan, it had no other way but to go in the direction of the trap.

Except in extreme cases, they will walk around the place, or simply damage these planted branches and leave. But this should be very small, and no normal animal would make such a decision without encountering or sensing a threat.
