Chapter 197: Diagon Alley Shopping

What embarrassed Percy even more was that he was told by Bill that the door had been opened by the person he had spoken to this morning, Allen.

Percy thanked Alan, who pretended not to see Percy uncomfortable and nodded with a smile.

Under Mr. Weasley's disapproving gaze, Percy blushed and thanked him loudly. On the last night before leaving Egypt, the group went to the Nile Wizards Night Market.

The night market is full of magical items, and the most popular among wizard visitors are the various magic charms.

During the visit to the pyramids, the various strange-shaped amulets hanging from the mummy's heart are impressive.

Ron, on the other hand, almost screamed in the middle of the city when he saw a purple scarab amulet.

Ron didn't even dare to stop in front of the amulet, and walked straight to another stall, becoming interested in something that resembled a small glass spinning top.

"It's a pocket speculum. If there are suspicious people around, it will glow, spin. The vendor wrapped in a white turban enthusiastically explained.

"But now it's spinning and shining. Ron unceremoniously pointed out the problem.

"Uh-oh——, you see, there's a lot of people here, and maybe there's some unreliable, untrustworthy person around. The vendor rolled his eyes and gave an explanation.

After some haggling, Ron paid five silver sike to get the pocket speculum.

When a satisfied Ron set up his speculum glasses, he found that Alan was still standing in front of the stall, talking to the vendor.

Ron's curiosity suppressed his fear of the Scarab Amulet and stepped forward again. Alan had picked up a number of amulets, from scarab motifs to cats, monkeys, and even pigs.

"Alan, how did you buy so many amulets?" Ron was curious.

"These amulets have different functions, and some of them are beautiful and make them great gifts for friends and family. Allen picked out a bunch of amulets among the vendors' enthusiastic recommendations.

The big customer came to the door, and the vendor in front of Allen couldn't stop laughing. At the night market, they also tasted Egyptian specialties.

During this time, the speculum that Ron bought kept coming on non-stop.

"It must be broken, Ron!" Percy suggested that Ron go back and get another one.

"It's useless to go back, the stall owner won't admit it. There are a lot of shoddy goods that are sold exclusively to wizard tourists, and they are very unreliable. Bill gulped down the mallow soup.

The boiled mallow soup is thick and sticky, and the taste is delicious, and Bill loves it very much.

"The speculum is not broken. Ron said to Allen in no uncertain terms,

Bill, he didn't find out it was Fred and George who put beetles in his soup. Allen, however, had a different opinion, and he quietly glanced at the rat-spotted spot that was lying on Ron's shoulder.

The speculum wasn't broken, but the reason it kept shining and spinning was largely due to the discovery of the Animagus.

Returning to England, Allen declined Mr. Weasley's invitation, and he couldn't wait to see his family.

Although the remaining time of the holiday is only a short week, everyone cherishes every moment together.

Mrs. Harris did everything she could to make Alan happy. And Mr. Harris and Lunn were more interested in the magic of Egypt.

Daisy and Emily pick up a large pile of amulets that Eren has brought back, and Emily is particularly fond of animal amulets.

After receiving a list of books in the mail from Hogwarts, Alan turned down his family's offer to accompany him and went to Diagon Alley on his own to buy the items he needed.

At Gringotts, Alan exchanged gold nuggets for large sums of gold galleons, silver sikor, and bronze nats.

After refilling the purse, he headed to the Quidditch boutique in high spirits. He knew that the boutique now houses the world's most advanced broomstick, the Fire Crossbow Arrow.

In the distance, Alan saw a large crowd of people gathered in front of the store. Alan slumped sideways inside, squeezing past the excited men and women of the wizards, and finally saw a freshly erected platform with the most magnificent broom he had ever seen in his life.

"Just came out...... Sample ......," a square-chin wizard told his companion.

"This is the fastest flying broom in the world. Is that Daddy?" asked a boy younger than Allen, shaking his father's arm, and screaming.

"The International Club of Ireland has just placed an order to buy seven of these boutiques!" the owner told everyone.

"They're the most sought-after items in this World Cup!" Alan intently reads the sign next to the broom: Firebolt This latest high-speed flying broom has a streamlined design, high-quality ash wood handle, diamond polishing, and the registration number is hand-engraved.

Each carefully selected birch branch at the tail of the broom is sharpened into a streamlined shape, giving the broom unrivalled balance and exquisite accuracy.

The Firebolt accelerates from zero to 150 miles per hour in less than ten seconds and has a magical braking effect.

The price is negotiable. Without hesitation, Alan walked into the store and, under the incredible gaze of the clerk, ordered a fire bolt.

After Alan filled in the delivery address, the clerk repeatedly promised with a smile on his face: as soon as the fire bolts arrived at the store, they would be carefully and properly packed and mailed to Allen.

"Ellen!" As soon as he left the door of the Quidditch Boutique, a familiar voice came from behind him—it was Harry.

"Ellen, are you here to see the firebolts, too?" asked Harry. Alan smiled and nodded.

"This broom is amazingly charming, and many people gather around to see it every day. Harry looked in the direction of the Firebolt booth with fiery eyes.

"You're obviously one of them. Alan laughed.

"Yes, firebolts, the fastest broom in the world! "Harry had never had he been so hungry for something in his life.

But the thought of reaching out to Uncle Vernon for money made Harry dismiss the idea of buying a firebolt.

Next, Harry accompanied Alan to the pharmacy to buy the ingredients needed for the Potions class. Allen's favorite bookstore is very different from the signs of yesteryear.

The store usually displays gilded magic books as thick as paving stones, but now behind the glass is a large iron cage containing about 100 copies of the Yokai Book of Monsters.

The books were all tangled together, fighting each other menacingly, as if in a fierce wrestling match, with broken pieces of paper flying everywhere.

"Why would the boss want to go into such a book?" asked Harry, curiously.

"Because it's listed as a textbook for the Conservation of Magical Beasts class. Alan replied.
