Chapter Eighty-Six: Sighing Lady (3) Happy Code Words~
I am an undead.
At least for now, it's certain that I'm an undead. Before I became the undead, I was an elf. Either way, I'm not man-made. When I was an elf, it took my own parents two years to conceive me. And I became an undead because I decided to surrender my life and chose to fall. And the two people in front of me, I don't know how to describe them now.
I don't know where or why humans were born, but I'm sure that none of them will be what they are. And as for the undead? Just kidding, how can such a thing be considered an undead? Although the two of them have a similar ability to me and turn a human into a puppet for his use, I really can't figure out how they are like me in any other way, or even worse than our skeletons at the bottom.
Look at them, they have an empty mouth, but now there is no way to say anything other than to make a series of meaningless snorts. Now there is probably no one who can control their actions, so they don't think about anything else at all now except killing or killing. These two things are quite apt to be described as war machines, but as for human beings, whatever they are now, they can no longer be described as human beings. Not so much, no real undead is like the two of them.
But now, it's no longer time to think about who they really are. Now the man is surrounded by a few of my skeletons, and he can't get out for the time being. But that female knight is something that those human guards can't resist.
Less than five minutes had passed since the female knight had fought with them, but more than twenty guards had already become the puppets of the female knight. Unlike my babies, the golems' skins are still intact, and their eyes haven't changed any other color. From this point, it can be seen that it is absolutely different from our undead.
Well, then let my treasures deal with his puppets. Anyway, there are corpses on the ground, and not all of the guards are 'lucky' to be their puppets. I had some interesting findings that she would only turn the corpses intact into her puppets, and that she seemed to be disgusted by those whose hands and feet she had cut off their hands and feet, or their heads altogether, and would even go away from the corpses of these unfortunate guards. It's really cleanliness.
But that's good, at least it gives me good resources. I can summon skeletons, but I can't summon them out of thin air. It takes a corpse or a dry bone to do it. During the summoning that I had just called, I found that the dry bones and corpses here were almost exhausted, which is why I didn't do it earlier. I need these humans to provide me with resources, no matter which side they are on.
However, it was at this time that there was a little uncontrollable situation, and that was when I summoned a dozen skeletons from the corpses of the dead guards, and the soldiers suddenly looked at me with a hint of disgust. Well, let's describe it as disgust. But now I don't have time for anything like that, because while my skeleton was friendly with the puppets, the female knight was eyeing me. Yes, she did have her blood-red eyes on me.
Well, maybe the average human would be stupefied when they saw those eyes, at least the guards would be able to prove that when they faced her. But I think my eyes are better looking than hers, at least I think blue is better than red, especially since I am dark blue, and she is blood red full of blood and violence. Well, it's bad.
I stepped back step by step, slowly closing a little distance from her. I watched her smirk and rush towards me. Well, maybe she thinks my reliance is nothing more than a skeleton or the short crossbow in my hand. If you get close, you will be easily killed by her. But is this possible? I watched quietly as she rushed towards me, and as her double knives were about to slash at me, I jumped lightly, leaving her powerless to pass under me, but still made me a little nervous, her double knives were able to reach my robe.
Well, it looks like you'll have to take off this bulky robe. I thought to myself, with some annoyance, that this robe had been done solely to keep the identity of my undead from outsiders, and that there was no need to wear it anymore.
Now is not the time to think about this, as I was still in the air and shot my crossbow arrows at her while she was running behind me. Unlike the previous crossbow arrows that would spread out, this time there was only one crossbow arrow, but it still pierced her back and nailed to the ground. Well, that's where the heart is, and if she shoots through a human heart, she will probably be killed.
However, what happened next was somewhat unexpected for me. After my arrow pierced her heart, she turned her head and looked at me hatefully. At the same time, his mouth was still open and closed, but he did not speak. Well, well, I'm tired of hearing it, and her meaningless voice only adds a little entertainment to the situation. One shot doesn't work, so I'll do a few more.
Maybe it was the arrow that had completely inflicted her anger on her, and she turned around and rushed towards me. And in order to prevent me from jumping into the air again to avoid her attack, she was also wary of the sky intentionally or unintentionally, and if I jumped up again, she would jump up and see me in half with a knife.
Well, let's get out of the way.
Just as I dodged to the left, she kicked me in the stomach and sent me flying more than ten meters away.
The force was still quite strong, and I barely stopped after breaking a few trees. If I were human, maybe this kick would have kicked me to death. It's just that I'm an undead, and although I look a little embarrassed now, I haven't been hurt in any way other than that. Maybe it's an internal injury, but do the undead care about internal injuries?
Anyway, I don't care about such a little injury, and I care more about the branches that actually scratch my face than the internal injury.
This makes me feel angry, the same woman, she dares to scratch my face, then, there is no need to do the usual way to her.
Compared to my current attacks, I don't like to be in close proximity to people. I'll admit that I'm a bit of a cleanliness fetish and don't want the blood of my victims to get on me. However, that doesn't mean I'm not good at melee attacks. Yes, I don't have any weapons other than this one, but they do.
Before the knightess could approach me, I took its sword from a nearby skeleton.
Well, it's a rusty weapon. Like the skeletons themselves, the weapons in their hands certainly don't spawn out of thin air. Instead, it was buried deep in the ground like these skeletons, and it has not been seen again until now. I don't know how much blood this sword has drunk, making it look very old but still extremely sharp. Maybe that's what blood does.
With the knife in my hand, I rushed over to her and slashed her head. It wasn't that easy, she used only one knife to separate the long knife in my hand, and then the other knife slashed at my abdomen at great speed. Well, if you can block me, can't I dodge you?, of course, this method is somewhat unconventional, and I let the unarmed skeleton use its arm to block this deadly attack for me. Then, her other knife slashed off the poor skeleton's head.
The price was small, and although the skeleton had its head cut off and fell to the ground to pieces, I slashed the long knife into her arm. And smoothly cut off her left arm. And the left hand holding the long knife also fell to the ground weakly.
I looked at her calmly, watching her mouth open at this moment. If she could still emit a figure, it would have been a roar rather than a howl. And she did look at me angrily.
"What do you want to say?" I asked her, but she kicked me away again. Then she threw the knife in her right hand on the ground, crouched down, grabbed the left arm that no longer belonged to hers, and tried to secure it on her severance.
"It's useless. I laughed, wiped the dirt off my body, and walked slowly towards her. But after walking for a while, I stopped. He pulled out a short crossbow and shot several short arrows, nailing her feet to the ground.
What is the end of her? Now it's a problem for me. Since shooting her through her heart with a crossbow arrow had no effect, it was probably the only way to completely solve her problem by cutting off her head. Well, just like that, I walked slowly towards her, but suddenly I felt a sound of breaking wind coming at me behind me. By the time I reacted, a deep cut was made in my back, and I was knocked away by the tremendous force again.
But unlike before, this time I was actually injured. And it's a relatively serious injury.
I subconsciously wiped the corners of my mouth, and I actually saw a little black blood on my hands. I'm bleeding?
I smiled, I used to bleed, but this was all since I was an elf. And the fact that an undead can bleed is something I would never have believed before. But now it's bleeding?
I smiled at the attacker, yes, it was the male monster who looked exactly like the female knight. Unexpectedly, he didn't know when he actually broke through the defenses of my skeleton puppets and attacked me despite his own wounds. Why is that?
After knocking me into the air, he unexpectedly did not attack me further, but came to the side of the female knight, crouched down and opened his mouth to her. Unfortunately, there was no sound. After a few moments, he saw the two short arrows stuck in the legs of the female knight. And he pulled out the two short arrows. To my surprise, the female knight stood up as soon as the arrow was drawn. Doesn't seem to have taken any damage.
Well, it's a bit of a hassle now. I may have no problem dealing with one at all, but it seems to be really difficult to solve these two together. While they weren't near me, I brought all the skeletons between us to form a barrier. It's just a little surprising that it doesn't seem to have any effect, and the skeletons don't have any resistance in front of them, especially the long-handled knife in the man's hand, and several skeletons are cut to pieces with a casual wave.
It seems that there is no way out. I divided the rest of the skeletons into two groups, one group that surrounded the two non-human and ghostly things, while the other group slowly began to move closer together, and then gradually formed a larger skeleton.
I've used this trick before, and I believe in the power of this giant skeleton.
Unfortunately, it seems that they didn't give me enough time. The group of skeletons that surrounded them didn't last more than a minute. And before the assembled skeletons could fully form a whole, they were chopped apart by the combined force of the two of them.
Strong, really strong. Now, I'm starting to change my mind about these two things that aren't human or ghost. What I didn't expect was that there seemed to be such a bond between them, and that bond was what made them so powerful when they were together.
I subconsciously looked behind me, and the living corpses had been wiped out by the guards, all staring at me silently.
"What are you looking at, don't you know how to help?" I was a little annoyed, and yelled at the people behind me, are they all stupid? Didn't you see that I was helping them all this? What I didn't expect was that they didn't act, but continued to look at me coldly, and one of the guards opened his mouth to scold me: "Die, you disgusting undead?"
I looked at them helplessly, and after looking at the old thing in the safest position, I didn't expect that at such an important moment, he actually avoided my gaze, and looked down at the ground silently. Then, after saying a gentle word to the guards around me, those guards actually lined up in two rows, slowly bypassed the direction where I and the two things were, and left.
At this moment, my heart, which had long been frozen, felt a real, piercing cold.
