Chapter 6: Fate
I didn't expect to fight for myself again so soon.
Givens wondered if he had offended some god of fate, or squandered what little luck he had in the first eighteen years of his life.
There wasn't much real use in the pile of garbage on the flying carpet, and after searching for a long time, he only found a shield with a broken corner. The weapon and armor Kenben didn't see it, so he had to pick up what seemed to be a giant beast's tooth and use it as a short sword, wrap the end of the tooth with a rag, and grasp it firmly in his hand.
With all this ready, Givens looked back at the old goblin.
The old goblin is rummaging through his pocket, seemingly looking for spellcasting materials or props.
Seeing the old goblin's solemn expression, Jiwen couldn't help but say more.
"Harvey, is it true that you said that you won't die in this world?"
Old Harvey didn't lift his head, and continued to rummage through the items, answering casually.
"You newcomers, always ask the same stupid questions over and over again. If you don't believe me, try it yourself. ”
As soon as he finished speaking, old Harvey seemed to have found his target, he took out a ring, put it neatly on the finger of his left hand, and then turned and raised it to face the direction of the dragon's attack.
At this moment, the brown bipedal wyvern was so close that Jiwen could even hear the hoarse howl of the wyvern.
He nervously covered his body with his shield, his eyes fixed on the giant bat-like monster.
The wyvern had a pair of long, narrow dark green eyes, a large narrow mouth full of interlaced fangs, and it spun and flew around the flying carpet, and its huge skin wings were covered with brown and yellow stripes, constantly waving to form a terrifying pattern.
As it sped right above the carpet, it twisted its long neck and aimed its blood basin at the carpet below
, a large stream of acid splashed down.
Old Harvey seemed to be prepared, chanting a spell aloud, propping up his magic shield in time to keep the acid out of the flying carpet, while aiming the small ring in his left hand at the wyvern, which had slowed down slightly due to the jet.
Without a sound, a huge pillar of light erupted from between the rings and shot straight into the wyvern's abdomen.
At that moment, the bipedal wyvern, sensing the danger, folded its wings and twisted sharply in the air, and the pillar of light almost touched the body of the bipedal wyvern, leaving a black burning mark on the bipedal wyvern's abdomen.
The two-legged wyvern howled angrily, and one swooped straight down at the old goblin.
The old goblin Harvey pointed with his staff again, and an energy spirit net appeared in the air, blocking the path of the two-legged wyvern. But the two-legged wyvern seemed to have been prepared, flashed in time, dodged the big net, and rushed straight to Jiwen, who was standing on the sidelines watching the battle.
"Oops, that guy is making noise!"
Old Harvey had to raise his left hand again, and the pillar of light excited from the ring gushed out.
At the last moment, the Wyvern folded its wings and changed direction, dodging the blast of the pillar of light once more. But when he left, the flick of the tail shattered the shield in Given's hand.
Jiwen almost fell off the flying carpet, but in the moment he staggered, the attentive Jiwen had already realized that a message from the old goblin seemed to be true. The marks on the abdomen of the bipedal wyvern that were burned by the aurora were gradually fading away and healing rapidly.
You may not be able to die here.
Just as Given's thoughts were on these questions, old Harvey's reminder woke him up from his stupor.
"Seriously, this guy thinks you're better at catching. ”
Jiwen nodded quickly, looking around hard, trying to catch the trail of the bipedal wyvern.
This flying lizard really seems to see him as a soft persimmon. The two-legged wyvern turned back in the air and rushed towards Jiwen again.
But suddenly, the pillar of light reappeared between Jiwen and the Wyvern, interrupting the Wyvern's attack. This time, after dodging the pillar of light, the Wyvern swooped straight to the ground, quickly disappearing under the flying carpet, breaking away from the attack and firing of the old Harvey Ring.
Old Harvey felt a little tricky now, it seemed that the attacker was a cunning adult dragon with enough combat experience to dodge the bombardment of the Aurora Ring one after another, and now he was even more sophisticated in burrowing into the space under the flying carpet. This guy is really hard to deal with.
Old Harvey hurriedly manipulated the magic flying carpet to hover and descend, trying to track the trail of the bipedal wyvern, while loudly reminding Givan to "Be careful, that monster may pounce on you from below at any time"
But as soon as his words fell, there was a huge vibration from under the flying carpet, and the flying carpet slanted to the left. Jiwen was almost lifted off the flying carpet, and a lot of the garbage on the flying carpet broke away from the spell and flew into the air.
"My goods!" cried out old Harvey in distress.
But before he could estimate the value of the goods, a large, ugly head came out from under the flying carpet at his feet, and with a mouth full of fangs, it bit down at his waist.
The two-legged wyvern had grabbed the back of the flying carpet and was flipping to attack.
Old Harvey almost instinctively tapped the flying carpet with his staff, and his body was immediately teleported to the other end of the flying carpet, appearing behind his new hire.
The impact just now made Gilvin unsteady on his feet, so he had to half-kneel down and hold on to the flying carpet to stabilize his body.
Seeing the embarrassment of this new employee, old Harvey was a little discouraged, it seemed that he couldn't help much in this battle.
He just wanted to remind Givens to get out of the way so he could shoot with his ring. But before he could speak, the two-legged wyvern had already poked out half of its body from under the flying carpet and opened its mouth to bite this way.
"Be careful!"
Harvey yelled, then quickly reached for the guy's shoulder, trying to move the two out of the way together with a displacement technique.
But he didn't expect that guy named Jiwen would rush towards the two-legged wyvern recklessly.
Is that guy crazy?
Old Harvey opened his mouth wide and couldn't believe his eyes.
Givens is not crazy, he has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time.
He can't spell himself, he doesn't have a ranged weapon in his hand, and he can't attack a flying dragon that flies flexibly. But now the crawler is finally close to what it can reach.
He must let this guy taste the consequences of underestimating himself.
Givenfly threw the sharp teeth in his hand, and then lunged forward.
At such close range, he couldn't have missed.
The tremendous brute force of his wrist instantly lifted the tooth to high speed, and the beast's teeth were wrapped in tremendous force, shooting straight into the eyes of the two-legged wyvern.
The Wyvern had always been jealous of the dwarf mage, but it didn't care about the insignificant creature behind it, and it didn't expect this creature to resist.
In a hurry, the bipedal wyvern only had time to tilt its head slightly. The tooth was deep into the corner of the wyvern's eye.
The monster's left eye was plunged into darkness in an instant. The heart-wrenching pain caused the Wyvern to scream, but before it could pull out the Wyvern's characteristic hoarse sound, Given's punch slammed into its jaw.
The massive impact sent the Wyvern's jaw flying, its entire head pulling its long neck upwards. Taking advantage of this gap, Givens stepped on the edge of the flying carpet, leaped up, his body slashed through the air, and then firmly locked his arms around the neck of the two-legged wyvern, and forced it out of the flying carpet of old Harvey.
Try the throat strangulation, dead lizard!
Givens roared inwardly, this was one of the most proficient fighting skills he had ever learned last semester.
His tremendous pull caused the Wyvern's legs and claws to release the flying carpet, and his entire body hung in the air.
The Wyvern had only just woken up from the massive impact of the punch he had just had, and it suddenly noticed that the most inconspicuous-looking prey had actually tied to his neck, and it immediately rolled in the air in anger, trying to shake the little bit off with its claws or inertial force.
In the years before it was called, it had hunted down similar villains in the valley for fun, destroying countless small villages. But now this lowly creature actually crawled on top of itself and strangled its own vital point!
The Wyvern howled again, its wings fluttering in rage, twisting its neck to reach for Jiven lying around his neck.
"Be quiet. ”
Once again, with all his strength, Jiwen clasped onto the thick neck of the Wyvern.
His face flushed from the constant rotation of the wyvern, his muscles tensed, his arms clasped, and he didn't even care that the claws on his back were pulled by the claws of the wyvern.
The wyvern's screaming quieted out, its mouth wide open in pain, its tongue sticking out, and the suffocation coming from its neck. But the force that clamped his trachea became stronger and stronger, and the whole neck seemed to be about to be broken immediately.
"Kara!" a muffled sound came from Jiwen's arms, and his neck, which was locked by his arms, immediately sunken down.
The neck of the two-legged wyvern snapped, half of its neck and head hung down, and the uncontrollable wings and feet immediately stopped moving, and the whole body stiffened, like a boulder, spinning and smashing straight to the ground.
