Chapter 335: Occlumency, Cloak of Invisibility, Crown (7)

Everyone has a variety of self-knowledge, which comes from our memories of the past. We are a kind person, we are a person who likes to help others, or we are a person who takes pleasure in destruction, and these are not because of how we will perform in the future, but because of what we have done in the past. Memories basically make up our perception of ourselves, and once a wizard's memory is tampered with or erased, the results are unimaginable.

Bellatrix Lestrange made such a big mistake that Albus Dumbledore's punishment was to completely erase the wizard's memory. Never again did Bella remember the magic she once had. The Longbottoms, until Shea helps them regain their memories, will not realize that they are actually heroes of the First Wizarding War, bravely confronting Voldemort and even nearly defeating him. What we're going to do, what we're going to decide, whether we're going to be more in favor of the camp of justice or the camp of darkness, depends on our understanding of our past. Harry was a very good boy, he knew that. Also an orphan, Harry's behavior at his aunt's house was not that of a young Voldemort.

Living in an orphanage, Voldemort wanted to be different from a young age, and he realized that he was the chosen one, so he believed that he could do great things. Until the first period when he was defeated by the Potters and hid in the Black Forest, Voldemort didn't realize how wrong he was.

For wizards, the biggest virus was not the disease that Muggles feared, but the terrible thoughts that had been implanted in their minds through magic.

Potter had never imagined that there would be so many similarities between himself and Voldemort: they were both orphans, they were both half-bloods, both had tragic childhoods, and if you added some snake language and contempt for authority, there was no essential difference between the two of them.

That's exactly what Voldemort wanted Harry to believe. He first needs to make Potter lose his insistence on himself, make him fall into confusion, let go of his persistence little by little, and then inject his thoughts into Potter's mind little by little to control Potter and make Potter his weapon. As we've discussed before, when a piece of Voldemort's soul was injected into Potter's body, Potter was still nothing more than a baby with no self-awareness, and unless there really was a soul in this world, the most likely outcome would be that Voldemort's soul had polluted the baby's soul.

The reality was quite different from what we had predicted, and although Harry and Voldemort had a lot in common, they were essentially two completely different wizards. Now that Voldemort has realized this through the special connection between the Horcruxes, he begins to try to control Potter. Such a situation is, of course, the last thing Albus Dumbledore wants to see.

Potter told his two friends about his worries, Ron was a little overwhelmed, and Hermione was a little panicked. You know, the other party involved in this is none other than the genius wizard, the current Dark Lord, Tom Riddle.

"Harry, I think Headmaster Albus Dundedo must have taken this into account, otherwise he wouldn't have arranged for Professor Severus Snape to help you. Hermione thought for a moment and comforted.

"Severus Snape has been prejudiced against me, all the time, and you don't know Hermione. Harry said distressedly.

"No, Harry, I don't know, that's probably been your guess all along, Professor Snape has never been openly hostile to you. Hermione shook her head and said.

"Why not, Hermione, Professor Snape's greatest passion for every class is to sneer at Harry, and that's not even hostile. I don't think if it weren't for the magical enchantment at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor Snape would have used a torture spell on Harry. Ron retorted.

"Anyway, Snape is like that to all non-Slytherin students! he's just so biased, maybe especially harsh with Harry, but just as hard with everyone else. Hermione insisted.

"Well, what Snape thinks of me, I'll soon know, because I'm going to take my first lesson with him tonight. Harry said dejectedly.
