However, due to the fact that the CO2 content in this artificial atmosphere is always more than that of fresh air, the specific calorific value of artificial air is lower than that of normal air, in order to ensure the normal operation of the diesel engine in the closed cycle state, Maozi adds monoatomic gas argon to the recirculated gas, so that the mixed artificial atmosphere is consistent with the specific heat ratio of normal air.

In this way, the diesel engine can work normally in the closed cycle state, and can also work normally when the open air is supplied to realize the opening and closing.

Maozi's R&D thinking is very strange, and in general, it is what cannot be changed. There was once a joke about a certain hairy bear fighter plane that turned off when it was high in the air. According to the practice of Japanese, American, and German fighters, it must be overhauled.

But Maozi's approach is to hang two bottles directly on the plane, one with oxygen and the other with hydrogen, and then mix them together. When the fighter plane is turned off, put the gas in the engine and ignite it......

It's that simple, crude, and doesn't strive for perfection.

So, how does this CCDAIP work?

In order to efficiently absorb CO2 in the exhaust gas of diesel engine, the exhaust gas with a temperature of 350~400 °C and a pressure of 0.2~0.5Mpa is first cooled to 80~100 °C by using a cooling system. The cooled exhaust gas is then sent into the CO2 seawater absorber to allow the seawater to fully dissolve and absorb the CO2 gas.

After this "washing", the exhaust gas enters the mixing chamber and is mixed with oxygen and argon and then circulated. The seawater with a large amount of CO2 is discharged outboard through the seawater treatment system.

In order to make the whole AIP system work in harmony, a computer control system is set up to control the seawater flow and oxygen supply of the water treatment system, so that the whole system can adapt to the changes of diesel engine load and submarine diving depth to ensure normal operation.

In order to ensure the supply of oxygen, Maozi also set up a liquid oxygen tank with a larger capacity just like the joke of the fighter, please note that the storage temperature of this liquid oxygen should be about minus 180 °C, so there must be a normal cooling system.

In addition to the oxygen tanks, there must be several argon cylinders with smaller volumes......

Complicated enough, isn't it?

This is just a power system, not a gearbox.

With so many miscellaneous equipment, when working at the same time, the noise emitted is absolutely catastrophic - in Li Fanyu's opinion.

Although Zhengxin's battery technology has two black technologies, super dissolved metal battery and centrifugal air battery, Zhengxin R&D Center has never given up exploring better automotive battery technology.

However, this fuel cell must have a continuous supply of hydrogen and oxygen, so in order to maintain the operation of the whole plant, it is necessary to have not only a large capacity liquid oxygen tank, but also a large capacity liquid hydrogen storage tank.

This is definitely a chicken rib technology for a car with an inch of space and an inch of gold.

But now, put it on a submarine, there are not so many scruples!

If the power of Zhengxin's power generation technology can be expanded, then only one reactor and two large storage tanks can ensure that enough power can be provided for the propulsion of the submarine. Not to mention the simple structure, what is even better is the process of power generation...... Noise is almost non-existent!

Replacing the diesel engine with a power generation unit can replace the complex and noisy variable speed gearbox with only a single cable.

By means of a cable connected to a motor with an integrated voltage regulator, it can be used directly as a drive power.

In Li Fanyu's opinion, this power system can reduce at least half of the noise source for the submarine.

However, because they did not know what the screening range of other countries' underwater sonar detection systems was, Xing Yaxin and 920524 asked Li Fanyu to do everything possible to reduce the noise of the submarine.

In fact, the Kilo class originally had a propulsion system with extremely low noise. That is, the famous Momoupuya pump-jet thruster.

This submarine pump-jet propulsion unit is a combined propulsion unit consisting of a ring duct, stator and rotor.

The profile of the annular conduit is airfoil-shaped, covering the rotor and stator, and the control surface of the internal and external flow fields of the pump-jet thruster. The stator is a set of fixed blades at a certain angle with the incoming flow, so that the rotor flow produces the rotational energy of pre-rotation or absorbs the rotor wake, and the rotor is a rotating impeller similar to a propeller, which generates thrust through the interaction with the water flow to propel the submarine to the required speed.

The noise of the pump-jet propulsion system is said to be as quiet as a "breeze blowing through a curtain".

However, the weapons and equipment exported by Maozi to China are usually castrated and castrated again. Traditional submarine propulsion mainly uses a single seven-bladed large side-inclined propeller. In this way, due to the excessive load on the propeller, the blades will cavitate in advance, which will reduce the low-noise speed of the nuclear submarine: if the blade area of the propeller must be increased in order to delay the generation of cavitation, it will lead to a decrease in the efficiency of the propeller and an increase in noise.
