The T2 group belongs to the production modification racing group, and the racing cars in this class can be adapted to the production car for appropriate racing adaptation, but the original structural components such as the engine, gearbox, and suspension form cannot be changed. Otherwise, they will be placed in the T1 group.
The T3 group is relatively secluded, and it is a model that meets the special requirements of the FIA, but is not inferior to the T1 and 2 groups.
The T4 group is the truck group, and the participating vehicles with a weight of more than 3.5 tons belong to this group. There are no restrictions on the form of drive for truck groups, but they cannot exceed a maximum of eight wheel drives. Among them, it is divided into two groups, 1.2, representing production trucks and experimental trucks. In addition, because the event was held in South America, Argentina and Chile, the height limit of bridge cables was 4 meters, so the maximum height of the participating trucks could not exceed this height. But this year, when the Dakar returned to Africa, the restrictions were lifted.
The T5 group cannot be regarded as an official participation group, and belongs to the support truck group. The vehicles in this category are not used for competition purposes, but are only responsible for transporting the convoy's supplies between camps.

According to the regulations, the entry fee for Dakar car owners is 12,000 euros per person, regardless of the driver and the pilot. The registration fee for the participating vehicles is about 3,000 euros, and the registration fee for the support group is 10,000 euros per person.
There are almost 50 people in the entire Zhengxin team, and the registration fee alone is more than 700,000 euros, equivalent to five or six million yuan.
