Mbappe then had a smooth ride in Milan, making 10 appearances for AC Milan in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing four assists, making him the team's second-highest scorer, and Zhang Shujie, who scored eleven goals and provided two assists.

Mbappe, who averaged one goal per game, has become the new celebrity of Serie A, although his public opinion effect cannot be compared with Zhang Shujie, after all, Zhang Shujie has six Golden Ball Awards in hand, and he is also the World Cup champion, and he is the future king hand-picked by FIFA! However, Zhang Shujie is thirty-three years old, and Mbappe is only twenty-six years old, he is young, and world football also needs fresh blood.

With such a good performance, some people have already compared him to Shevchenko, in fact, his style of play is completely different from Sheva, mainly because he wears the number 7 shirt. You must know that after Sheva, there is no one in AC Milan who can deserve this shirt number, knowing the appearance of Mbappe.

In the face of such praise, Mbappe said: "No, no, I can't compare with Shevchenko, Sheva is a very great striker, he has won too many accolades for AC Milan, and he has won the Ballon d'Or, and I have only been in Milan for less than half a year and have not received anything." ”

Originally, there was nothing wrong with Mbappe's words, but the media over-interpreted them. Especially when he talks about the "Golden Globes", the media is more sensitive.

"Digital Sports" said: "Mbappe mentioned the Ballon d'Or, is he eager for Milan to get this honor? You must know that the current AC Milan is still Zhang Shujie's AC Milan, Mbappe said this, is he trying to challenge Zhang Shujie's status? If he really has this idea, it is not surprising, after all, Zhang Shujie is 33 years old, and at most he will remain at the top for another one or two years." Look at Real Madrid's Asensio, who replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the team and won the Ballon d'Or. ”

These reports quickly reached the ears of Zhang Shujie and Mbappe, Zhang Shujie did not say anything, but Mbappe became excited: "I don't know why the media thinks so, what I said before was just a fact." AC Milan is still led by Zhang Shujie, if I really want the Ballon d'Or so much, why should I come to Milan? I can go to Barcelona. ”

Mbappe's clarification is also reasonable, Messi has determined that this is his last season at Barcelona, and Mbappe is fully capable of taking over Messi's mantle, but he still came to Milan. This at least shows that Mbappe is not so hungry for the Ballon d'Or.

The episode soon became less noticed with the arrival of the Champions League. This is the fifth round of the Champions League group stage of the season, and AC Milan's opponent is Schalke 04, and as long as AC Milan can win, they can lock up the top spot in the group one round earlier. Mbappe seems to be trying to prove to the world that he is not here to compete with Zhang Shujie for the boss, and he is trying to pass the ball to Zhang Shujie in the game, and the second goal scored by Zhang Shujie is the nanny ball from Mbappe.

At that time, Mbappe almost faced the goalkeeper half-single-handedly, but he still passed the ball to Zhang Shujie and helped Zhang Shujie score twice. After the goal, Zhang Shujie also took the initiative to celebrate with Mbappe, and the scene of the two hugging was captured by the media. Chen Hui said: "See, Mbappe is not here to challenge Zhang Shujie's position. ”

In the end, AC Milan defeated Schalke 04 3:1 at home and advanced to the round of 16 as the group leader one round in advance. In the rest of the league in the first half, AC Milan also played a triumphant song all the way, and finally surpassed Inter Milan in the 19th round and climbed to the top of the standings.

With the halfway through the season, the winter transfer market has also opened up, but AC Milan did not dare to buy casually, they spent 220 million euros in the summer, according to UEFA's principle of financial fairness, AC Milan may be punished by UEFA if they bring in more reinforcements. Even if they don't buy people, it can't be ruled out that UEFA will launch an investigation into Milan.

AC Milan seems to be very quiet in this winter transfer market, so quiet that there is not even a single transfer scandal. But that doesn't affect their game, as they face Inter Milan in the 20th round, they were held to a draw at home to the Nerazzurri in the first half, and this time they will also need to pick up points on the road, and three points.

However, the result of the game disappointed the Milan fans, and the two teams once again ended in a draw, this time with the score of 3-3, and the hero of AC Milan was Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick to steal the limelight from everyone and help Milan fall behind three times and tie it three times. With this hat-trick, Mbappe's league goal came to fourteen, just three goals away from the top-ranked Zhang Shujie.

Zhang Shujie only scored 17 goals in the league in the 20th round this season? In fact, this data is not bad, but the requirements for Zhang Shujie are higher, as if he does not reach the efficiency of one goal per game, he is not in good shape. But to be clear, Zhang Shujie did not play all 20 games, he only played 18 games, and six were substituted early, so it is not easy for him to score 17 goals, and don't forget that he will be 34 years old in less than two months.

On top of that, he has six goals in the Champions League, and he has only played five games for those six goals. He didn't play in the Coppa Italia and didn't score. To put it simply, as of the 20th round, Zhang Shujie has played a total of 23 games for Milan this season, scoring 23 goals, and still maintains a super high efficiency of scoring an average of one goal per game. At the same time, he also has seven assists. The cumulative number of goals created has reached 30, which is currently the most direct goals scored by any person in Europe.

Therefore, when everyone praises Mbappe, Zhang Shujie's contribution is still remembered. "Milan Sport" put it bluntly: "Who is the greatest striker today? It's not Mbappe, it's not Asensio, it's not Neymar who has returned to Brazil, it's Zhang Shujie." Mbappe is Milan's new celebrity, but in terms of personal ability and attention, Zhang Shujie is the first brother on this planet!"

AC Milan continue to lead the table, Inzaghi has begun to change formations, and 433 has become an important option for him, with the front three being Zhang Shujie, Mbappe and Vazquez. It's just that this combination can't be used in every game, in addition to Mbappe still looking young, Zhang Shujie and Vazquez will both turn 34 this year, considering age and physical strength, Inzaghi can only selectively let three people play at the same time.

As the second half of the season progresses, Zhang Shujie is also in rotation, and Mbappe must take the lead. Although he is playing very well now, it must be pointed out that he is not a very efficient goalscorer, so in some key battles, Zhang Shujie must play, otherwise Milan is very likely to fall into the embarrassment of a weak attack.
