Chapter XXIII: The Medal of the Supporters
At noon on Sunday, Phoenix woke up with a pile of presents around his bed. It was sent by the parents of Slytherin classmates to congratulate him on representing Hogwarts and Slytherin House in the Triwizard Tournament.
He got dressed and went to the common room. Daphne, Nott, and Draco were sneaking around the corner.
"What are you doing?" said Phoenix, startling them.
"Hell, don't you walk silently?" Daphne said exasperatedly, "and then the badge of support for you, considering that you are not the only champion at Hogwarts, I think it is necessary to add some popularity to you." ”
"Then come on. Don't forget, add Eden. "Phoenix yawned and went to eat in the auditorium, and the fatigue of using magic yesterday scared the others into thinking he was sick.
When classes resumed, Harry's school life took a turn for the worse. Slytherin and Ravenclaw believe that Harry was elected through cheating, that he ran through improper means, and that the only Hogwarts warrior was Phoenix. Hufflepuff was rather annoyed by Phoenix's behavior. Because Diggory was the best Hufflepuff student in recent decades, and they had hoped to revive the Hufflepuff House through the Triwizard Tournament, he was now the least popular person in Hufflepuff.
Draco was one of the few to arrive early in the Conservation of Magical Creatures class, with that sarcastic smile on his face.
"Ah, look, guys, this is the Warriors," he said to Crabbe and Goyle as he approached, and felt that Harry could hear him, "do you have a book for him to autograph? it is better to get him to sign it quickly, I suspect he will not be here long - half of the Warriors of the Triwizard Tournament are dead - Potter, how long do you think you will live? I guess about ten minutes after the start of the first event. ”
Crabbe and Goyle smirked flatteringly, but Draco had to stop there, as Hagrid had returned from behind his hut with a large stack of crumbling chests, each containing a bulky whelk. Hagrid began to explain that the snails were killing each other because they had no extra energy to release. In order to solve this problem, each student had to tie a fried tail snail with a rope and take it for a walk. The students were very scared when they heard this. The only benefit of this plan was that it completely drew Draco's attention.
"Take this thing for a walk?" he asked, staring at a box, disgusted, "where should we tie the rope to its thorns, its tail, or its suckers?"
"Tethered in the middle," Hagrid said, demonstrating to everyone, "well—I'm afraid you'll need to put on your dragonskin gloves as an extra precaution. Harry- come here, help me deal with this big guy-"
The transformation badge developed by Daphne was quickly completed with Melinda's help. Daphne mobilized Slytherin donations to make race banners and other cheering supplies.
Phoenix does look more like a warrior than Harry. Straight nose, jet-black hair, excellent grades. These days, between Phoenix and Victor Krum, it's hard to say who gets more praise. Phoenix himself began to flee again, and he didn't wait to be with Draco often, using Goyle and Crabbe's size to stop those who were looking for him for autographs.
After lunch, Phoenix and Draco made their way to Snape's underground classroom, where each Slytherin had a large badge pinned to the front of their robes. Bright red letters shimmered in the dim light of the underground corridor, as if on fire:
Support Phoenix Peverell -
A true warrior of Hogwarts
"Do you like it, Potter?" Draco exclaimed as Harry approached, "What other tricks do they have—look!"
He pressed the badge to his chest, and the words on it disappeared, and then another line appeared, shining green:
Potter stinky
The Slytherins laughed out loud. Each of them pressed their badges, and at the end of the day, Harry's eyes flashed all over the place - Potter stinking. Harry felt blood rush over his face and neck.
The anger that had been pent up for days seemed to suddenly burst through a dam within him. Without thinking about what he was doing, he reached for his wand. The people around them scattered and retreated down the hallway.
"Harry!" Hermione warned him.
"Alright, come on, Potter," Draco said calmly, drawing his wand, "There's no Moody here to take care of you now—if you have one, do it-"
Both stared into each other's eyes, and then, saying that it was too late and that was too fast, almost at the same time, both took action.
"It's hot!" shouted Harry.
"Incisor stick!" Draco screamed.
The two wands shot out pillars of light at the same time, collided in the air, and refracted at an angle—Harry's pillar of light hit Goyle's face, and Draco's flew towards Hermione. Goyle screamed loudly and covered his nose with his hands, and ugly boils were popping out of his nose - Hermione bounced off with the Iron Charm, and Ron moaned nervously, covering his mouth tightly.
"Ron, I'm sorry - oh. "The spell that was bounced off by He's hit Ron.
Hermione hurried forward to see what had happened to Ron. Harry turned around and saw Hermione pull Ron's hand away from his face. It's not good-looking. Ron's front teeth were growing at an alarming rate, and his teeth were swishing longer, extending over his lower lip towards his chin.
"What the hustle is going on here?" said a soft, annoying voice.
Snape is here. The Slytherin students were chattering for explanation, and Snape held out a long, yellowed finger and pointed at Draco and said, "You explain." ”
"Potter attacked me, sir—"
"We're attacking each other at the same time!" Harry protested.
"--He hit Goyle-you see-"
Snape looked at Goyle carefully, and it was fitting that Goyle's face was in a book about poisonous mushrooms.
"Go to the hospital, Goyle. Snape said calmly.
"Draco hit Ron!" Hermione said, "Look!"
Snape looked at Ron coldly and said, "I don't see any difference. ”
Ron glared at Snape angrily, turned and ran to the hospital - he mumbled as his front teeth reached his jaw.
Thankfully, in the midst of all the noise, it was impossible for Snape to hear what Harry was scolding him. Still, he guessed the main meaning.
"Let me think about it," he said, his voice particularly soft and greasy, "Gryffindor House deducted fifty points, and Potter was sentenced to one time of school labor. Okay, let's go inside, or we'll stay in school for a whole week. ”
Once in the basement classroom, Phoenix lip-to-mouth Hermione, "Silent Spell, you've made it." ”
"Stop messing around—" Hermione was still annoyed.
"I just congratulated Hermione for using the Silent Charm. Melinda pinched Phoenix hard.
"Really?" Melinda pointed her wand at Phoenix, and a red mark immediately appeared on his hand. He tried not to make any noise, and whispered. Recently, after Daphne appeared in front of her, Melinda became more irritable than before.
"Congratulations, you've made it too. ”
Snape walked over nonchalantly, "Are you alright, Phoenix. ”
"Something, my hand is swollen. He held it up to Snape, who grabbed his hand and looked at it, imperceptibly shoved him a small note.
"Let's go to the school hospital. Snape said in a rare, calm tone. Phoenix stood up and left happily, and Melinda became even angrier.
As soon as I went out, I ran into a junior Gryffindor.
"Sir—Mr. Bagman wants you to go upstairs," he said nervously, "all the warriors are going, and I have to inform Harry. Then he flew and ran away.
"Cut, am I that scary?" Phoenix shook his head, and after a while Harry came out, looking angry enough. The student took them to that room.
