For more than 60 years, the villagers have paid their respects to these 14 warriors on November 6 every year. These were all German soldiers! Why were they treated with such courtesy?

In 1943, the Allies successfully landed in Sicily, and under the great pressure of fighting on their own soil, Mussolini was imprisoned in a coup d'état in Italy, but Hitler sent a special force to successfully rescue him. This success carried Hitler away, and he decided to repeat the old trick and capture Churchill from Britain

Lieutenant Colonel Kurt Steiner was the captain of the operation. Churchill was to visit an RAF base near the village of Sdelaiconspur on November 6 and a factory in the evening. Upon learning of this, Lieutenant Colonel Kurt Steiner led 13 paratroopers to parachute into the village of "Sdelaikangspur" on the night of 5 November

The two soldiers quickly jumped into the water and swam towards the child who had fallen into the water. The 14 German soldiers lost their lives trying to save two children. Afterwards, in order to commemorate the 14 good German officers and soldiers, the villagers of this village buried them in the village cemetery, and carved the monument as mentioned above

For the lives of the two children who fell into the water, Kurt Steiner and 13 German paratroopers forgot their mission. Indeed, wearing military uniforms, they were Nazi soldiers, however, no one can deny that when they jumped into the rapids to rescue children who had fallen into the water, their respect and love for the lives of others transcended borders and beliefs!
