Act XIII. The Fisherman and the Sea

When Ichifina was a child, she had heard of whalers hunting whales in the sea.

The whalers first stuck a harpoon tied to the whale's back, loosened the rope and let the whale struggle and swim until it could not stand it anymore and floated to the ground exhausted to breathe, at which point the other fishermen approached, killed the whale with harpoons, cut a large hole in its back, and drilled into it to get whale oil, while the remaining carcass was discarded in the sea.

It was years ago, primitive and ancient methods of whaling, which Fina had only heard in her father's bedtime stories.

In her imagination, the huge moon, the calm sea suddenly a beluga whale jumped up, stirring up thousands of waves that could not be dispersed for a long time.

But in fact, when she saw this scene, Fina felt that her screams had already blocked her throat, and she could only watch it all dumbly.

Fina didn't know what a frosthorn whale was, she only knew that the whale in front of her was very big, not big in the general sense.

The behemoth's body obscured the sky and shrouded the boat in shadow, the Frosthorn Whale was at least three hundred yards long, with sharp horns on the top of its head that surrounded the slightest chill.

Seeing that the heavy body was about to be crushed, Lawson subconsciously wanted to draw his sword, but Tia stopped Lawson.

"Don't worry, Manolin is a professional fisherman. ”

Hearing her words, Rosen also immediately felt a fluctuation of magic power, and looked at the boss known as Manolin.

I saw that he showed his strong muscles, which were even more swollen because of the exertion, and almost became two mass muscles.

And by Manolin's side, one after another shock waves rippled out, forming several barriers, almost substantial, blocking in front of him.

When—

The Frosthorn Whale slammed into the barrier, its heavy body froze, but the next moment, its vigorous power swelled, shattering the outermost barrier.

Click, click

The triple barrier shattered under the weight of the Frosthorn Whale, but Manolin's face did not change except for a little sweat.

"Ice blades!"

He roared, and waved his right hand to the side, four fingers together, forming the appearance of a hand knife, and then, countless frost gathered in his hand, and soon turned into a thick ice blade.

"Slash!"

Manolin struck a blow of the sword, and the light of the knife illuminated the sea obscured by the frosthorn whale's body, causing a mist to fill the air and gallop towards the whale's massive body.

Rosen clearly saw that in the sword light, there was the power of the law, which was devastating, sweeping through the body of the frost-horned whale like a violent wind.

Clicks–

The sound of shattering sounded again, but it was not the broken barrier of Manolin, but the frosthorn whale.

Under its body, there was a scar that penetrated the brain and drilled out from the back of the head, and before the blood could gush, it was frozen by the ice, and there was no blood splashed at all.

But this whale has no breath of life.

The huge body was still falling, but Manolin did not stop, and with a horizontal left hand, a skate blade was also condensed.

He leaped forward, slashing countless scars at the whale's body at a dizzying speed, and finally, with a gentle push, pushed the Frosthorn whale's carcass a little further away, causing it to land on the surface of the sea not far from the boat.

The huge waves were churning, and although the boat was bumping, it was not capsizing, but only swaying up and down in this wave.

Fina clung to Lawson's arm beside her, watching the frosthorn whale that had fallen to the surface of the sea, as if supported by a transparent barrier, and had not submerged in the sea.

The frosthorn whale, intact, suddenly bloomed like a flower.

"How could it be !??"

Fina exclaimed in surprise when she saw everything in front of her.

The huge whale was finely cut into countless pieces, the muscles and internal organs were precisely separated from the bones, without the slightest damage, and the blood that originally spilled out had long been frozen by the ice blades, glowing with a pale red color.

The originally terrifying frosthorn whale was now neatly cut and suspended on the surface of the sea, which gave people an unreal feeling.

Clicks–

There was another shattering sound, this time the sound of Manolin's hands-covered skates dissipating and turning into ice chips.

"This frosthorn whale, blood is an extremely precious alchemy material, which can be used to refine anti-icing potions, whale oil is the introduction of precious perfumes, and that long horn is a good material for forging weapons, as for the internal organs and flesh, as ingredients and medicines, they are also very expensive, and thanks to Your Excellency, I can get a juvenile frosthorn whale to put here for me to foster. ”

Manolin said that the battle had been like a chore, grinning and washing his hands in the sea.

"So I'll send it over at night with the rest of the materials?"

He was asking Tia.

"Yes, but I'm going to get one thing first. ”

Tia nodded, looking at the whale's carcass again.

"Is it a crystal nucleus?"

Manolin had already guessed what Tia wanted, and reached out to the whale to shake it, and a crystal with a pale blue luster floated up from the whale's corpse, this crystal was the size of a fist, and the mere existence of it attracted the surrounding water elemental to condense into it.

"This is the source of the magic of the frosthorn whale, usually used to absorb the elements in the sea, released at critical moments to create magic attacks, due to the speed of killing just now, so the magic stored in it should not have been released, it can be regarded as a natural magic crystal, and the purity is very high. ”

Fina took the crystal, made a little confirmation, and stuffed it into her storage.

"Then let's go. ”

"Uh......"

Fina was still in the thrilling hunt just now, and only when she heard Tia's words did she come back to her senses a little.

Rosen glanced at Manolin, the strong man now looked like a real fisherman, looking at his fishing ground to wipe his sweat, and he was completely unreminiscent of the same person who had used the law to fight the vicious frosthorn whale just now.

Walking out of the shop, Tia explained casually.

"In this Rainbow Tower, not all the strong people belong to the High Council, and there are some people who feel that it is too troublesome to fulfill the corresponding obligations so they do not accept the invitation, Manolin is one of them, but his shop is also a high-end fish shop that can only be traded by members of the High Council, specializing in accepting various training commissions. ”

Glancing over the sign of the shop on the side of the road, Tia continued.

"The half-plane he owns is a fragment of the Sea of the Water Elemental Realm, which can cultivate almost all known marine life, and the fish he breeds are also of very high quality, so I usually buy them here. ”

Fina didn't expect that the simple-looking fish shop owner turned out to be a silver-level powerhouse, and with some embarrassment, they also came to the area selling meat and vegetables from the fish business district.
