Chapter Eighty-Eight: Fight Today
"The Ministry of Magic wishes you a nice day. Pen ~ Fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info" the woman's voice said.
The hall seemed a little darker than Phoenix remembered. In the center was a golden fountain that cast specks of light on the shiny wooden floors and walls. And now, a huge black stone statue takes center stage. Such a giant stone statue, a witch and a wizard sitting on an ornately carved throne, looking down at the Ministry of Magic staff rolling out of the fireplace. At the base of the statue are carved several large one-foot-tall characters: Magic is power.
When Phoenix looked closely, he realized that what he had thought was a richly carved throne was actually a pile of stone human bodies, hundreds of naked human bodies: men, women, and children, all of them stupid and ugly, their limbs twisted and squeezed together, supporting the handsome, robed wizard.
He joined the crowd of witches and wizards and walked towards the golden door at the end of the hall, and the people around him avoided him in horror at the sight of Phoenix, as if he had some kind of contagious disease.
When I got to the fountain, a large crowd was blocking there. Minister for Magic Piers Hinkness, Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Yaxley, and Senior Deputy Minister for Magic and Director of the Department of International Magical Cooperation Albert Lencohen. Travers, Director of the Division of Magical Communications—Behind them stood the Aurors, members of the search squad, and trained strikers.
It seems that the phone booth has reported the situation to the Ministry of Magic in time, and they have been waiting for it for a long time.
"Good morning, Mr. Peverell. Sinkenes said maliciously.
"Good morning, Minister. ”
"You have been arrested, sir. Alex smiled happily.
"Really, that's funny, what crime have I committed?" said Phoenix, taking his stride and a polite smile on his face.
"Conspiracy to manipulate the Gringotts Governing Council of Europe -- Harry Potter, the most wanted man -- suspected of bribing officials of the Ministry of Magic—" Jaxley, the director of the Law Enforcement of Magic, pulled out a roll of parchment and read aloud. So that the Ministry of Magic employees who stopped around could hear it.
Phoenix glanced at the crowd around him and saw Kingsley, who gave Phoenix an anxious look. He shook his head slightly, as if he didn't admit his crime, and as if he was telling him not to do anything.
Finally, Yaxley finished reading the long list of quality control crimes.
"Sorry, I didn't hear you. Can you read it again?" Yaxley looked at Lencoun, who nodded slowly, and then held up the parchment and read it again.
"What? I still don't understand?"
"You little bastard—" Yaxley could see that he was playing with them.
"That's enough, Mr. Peverell, do you still expect to get away with these little tricks?" said to Lencoun, too, in annoyance, to Phoenix, who was as tall as Phoenix, but whose voice was surprisingly low.
"Don't get me wrong, I don't have that plan for the time being. Phoenix said in a cold voice.
This is the hall of the Ministry of Magic staff gathered more and more, in front of him standing densely packed wizards. They craned their necks and stared at Phoenix with different expressions.
"That's good—Prout, Williamson—" Minister Hinkness shouted to the two men next to him, grimacing.
The two walked out and walked towards Phoenix.
"Wait, you're just coming up like this, look down on people too much--at least take out your wand--" Phoenix's voice was not high, but it reached everyone's ears. He froze in place.
"You're the only one and you want to resist?—" Alex said mockingly.
"I'm afraid he's not alone—" Sester walked quickly out of the crowd and stood beside Phoenix and raised his wand as if he was ready to fight.
"You-Se-Sester-you traitor-" Sinkenes' eyes widened and he looked at them incredulously. Before he could finish his sentence, Robaz stepped forward.
As if given some kind of command, people kept squeezing out of the crowd and running towards Phoenix. They range from mid-level personnel in the Division for the Prohibition of Misuse of Magic and the Auror Command, to lower-level employees at the Floo Network Authority and the Portkey Office, and even Tea Boy and Security Desk member Eric.
"Great, Mr. Peverell. You've helped us a lot. "Sinkenes wasn't angry, or so angry, for so many people betraying the Ministry of Magic.
For the first time, Phoenix looked at everyone present, his gaze quickly swept over every employee present, and said solemnly.
"Today, we are not afraid of power, stand up, and vow to eradicate evil, uphold justice, and breathe a sigh of relief for the oppressed people, this is not a joke, but an oath, if we want to save our compatriots in dire straits, we must use extreme means to counter violence with violence. Don't try to wait for a savior, what's the difference between that and a coward! If we want a happy and beautiful tomorrow, we need to fight from today until the tyrant dies by the sword and justice is served. Phoenix looked at Sinkenis face to face and said to everyone present.
"Otherwise, we will fight to the end, sadly, you can't kill us," Phoenix's voice echoed clearly in the atrium, "because man may fail, he may be captured, he will be killed, forgotten." But you can't kill the mind, the mind doesn't bleed, it doesn't feel pain, the mind doesn't die. Behind me is not only a body advocating freedom, but behind me is a thought, Voldemort, the mind cannot be killed. For freedom, for the overthrow of your tyrannical rule, for the sake of the innocent, young wizards, the inalienable rights!"
Phoenix stared at Sinkenes, and the crowd behind him erupted into a terrifying roar: "For freedom!"
The battle broke out in an instant, and the screams, incantations, and colorful spells of the crowd filled the entire hall. Some clever people scrambled to the fireplace, hoping to leave the Ministry. But others joined Phoenix to fight the Death Eaters.
Each of them found a man to fight, and every minute someone fell.
"We've got to go up and help them, Kingsley. Hesty Jones said anxiously as she watched the fierce battle.
"No, Heska-" Kingsley stopped her, "they were premeditated, I'm sure these are the people he installed in the Ministry of Magic, and now they're probably leaving." If we were to get involved, the Ministry of Magic would no longer be transparent to us. ”
There is also a door at the back of the hall with plenty of elevators. A steady stream of people from the Ministry of Magic rushed out of there to join the fight, and gradually Phoenix they began to lose their support. Even some Death Eaters who did not serve in the Ministry of Magic appeared. After all, Phoenix's informants are in the minority, and there are not many other people who are inspired by Phoenix. After all, not everyone can forget about death.
Phoenix turned a blind eye to all of this and strolled through the crowd. Occasionally help yourself with a spell or two.
"Almost, I think—" Seth nodded as he casually took out Seist's Williamson.
