Chapter 7: What Belongs to Me and What Belongs to Her Knowledge
The principle of absolute neutrality is based on the rational principle of believing that "one can make decisions that are in one's best interest without interference from others." This principle of rationality contains not only the basic rationality that people will form in order to maximize their own interests, but also a judgment that people will make decisions about the situation they face after evaluating the benefits and costs of all the resources at their disposal to a certain extent.
In other words, blindly pursuing the maximization of self-interest is just as irrational decision-making as persistently pursuing something without considering the loss of self-interest.
That is, my principle is premised on the assumption that my distractions will confuse others in their assessment of costs and benefits, and that they will mix my thinking with these considerations. Therefore, I should not interfere in the competition between people, and in the various forms of value judgment and evaluation of individuals themselves.
Taking the previous situation of retaliating against Hayama as a member of the Ministry of Service as an example, without my interference, from the perspective of the other members of the Ministry of Service, they may think that defeating Hayama in competition is not a very good choice, because it will bring unpredictable risks to the future of the Ministry of Service, or in other words, from the perspective of a club, it is not a rational thing to openly stand on the opposite side of the school's most popular students. However, under my influence, they have preconceived the notion that the Ministry needs to fight against the enemy at this moment, and cannot make an accurate analysis of the possible consequences of the confrontation with the enemy, which is a case where I influenced the rational decision-making of the Ministry through my personal actions.
Well, in other cases, the situation is the same, for example, in the current confrontation with Koharu under the snow, no matter what kind of actions I make between the two to express my own thoughts, or my bias, this will have a bad misleading judgment of the two people, and this misdirection may not necessarily come from my direct guidance, but may also come from a kind of self-analysis based on the observation of my behavior.
In other words, in the best case, as a member of the formal ministry department, I would have an influence on the decisions made under the snow, and at the same time, as a classmate who had a close relationship with Koharu, I would also have an influence on Koharu's decisions. At this time, all I need to do is to only not express any opinion in the confrontation between the two, which is the so-called absolute neutrality.
However, this absolute neutrality is a false proposition.
Because, absolute neutrality itself, is a self-constructing concept, a concept that, without the approval of others, will only make the onlooker feel that you are biased towards other people.
For example, the famous 1935 Neutrality Act in the United States, which banned American citizens from selling arms to belligerents in international wars, was an approach that adhered to a doctrine of absolute neutrality that eventually led to a biased outcome. It is not my intention to delve into the ideas behind the decision of the United States to make the Neutrality Act, but we need only conclude that the 1935 Neutrality Act was objectively favorable to the Italian invasion of Abyssinia. This is also the reason why many people regard their practices, which may in fact really carry out the "principle of neutrality" as understood by the Americans themselves, as "false neutrality."
Going back to the information I've learned now—that the direct connection between Qingquan Middle School and Qingquan High School has been severed—come up. This information can actually explain the fact that the student union of Qingquan Middle School is now eager to contact the general martial arts.
The cancellation of the internal guarantee places means that a large number of students who want to enter Qingquan High School in this way from the beginning of entering Qingquan High School need to re-enter the competitive environment with the same conditions as students from other schools. For this group of students who have worked hard in non-academic aspects such as music in order to obtain a place in Qingquan High School, their preparation for the previous two years has become useless.
Therefore, the current appeal of the student union of Qingquan Middle School is to open a channel in Zongwu High School, which is similar to Qingquan High School in terms of department setting and teaching staff, in the absence of other new official contacts, so as to meet the pressure of students with special training methods in Qingquan Middle School.
However, if I learn this information, should I tell Yukino under the snow? If I look at the results of non-interference brought about by neutrality, there is no need for me to tell Yukino this information, because it was not obtained by Yukishino's own intelligence gathering and judgment, but through me, a person who should not have been the source of information under the snow.
However, it is precisely because I did not tell Yukishita the fact of this information itself, and the objective result is favorable to Koharu, although I have not made a judgment of value bias, but in the eyes of others, this practice of mine may be a deliberate concealment of information under the logical premise of favoring Koharu.
Or, on the other hand, what would I do if I was asked under the snow if I had any information about it. If you answer "no" or "I don't know", not to mention whether it is not a neutral practice per se, as I said before, as long as I don't tell Yukishita Yukino this information, then there will be a suspicion in other people's perception that Yubihama is also biased.
And if I tell the information to the snow after questioning me under the snow, then perhaps I can explain it as I am speaking from a neutral point of view what I know the facts, or that this is what I should do as a member of the ministry without any preference for value selection. However, in the impression of others, my "neutral" posture has been effectively lost, because as a result, I am on the side under the snow and provide an important bargaining chip against Koharu under the snow.
In other words, whether your state of mind is "neutral" or not depends on your own choice, but whether your state is "neutral" depends on the environment and other people's evaluations, and the environment and others will only evaluate you in more extreme ways - the so-called evaluation that you will definitely fall to one side or the other.
Then, in the eyes of others, my so-called "absolute neutrality" became the same "false neutrality" as the Americans after the enactment of the Neutrality Act in 1935.
So, what do I need is the mental neutrality of self-perception, or the neutrality of the state in the eyes of others? What do I want to do is the self-satisfaction of the former state, or the construction of others in the latter state?
If it were my past me, I would like to choose the former, and my approach should not be influenced by other people's judgments. But the problem is that my principle of absolute neutrality is that I don't want other people's decisions to be influenced by me, and when they form a perception that Kazuya Yubihama has a preference for one aspect or another, their decisions are already influenced by me.
There is no point, then, in merely satisfying absolute neutrality at the level of self-satisfaction.
However, to construct an impression of "neutrality" in the eyes of others is in itself to influence the perception of others itself, which is contrary to the non-interference approach that "neutrality" should uphold.
So, absolute neutrality, this is a false proposition.

"Kazuya, Kazuya?"
"Uh-ah, sorry, senior, this, this-"
Oops, Oops, too bad, theoretically it should be the first long conversation and long time together after getting rid of the previous awkward atmosphere with Kogi Senpai, and I was in a daze again.
"Okay, I don't need to explain," Senpai's eyes narrowed, which was a sign of her unhappy mood, "I know you better, you guy is thinking about something that seems to make sense but is actually difficult to put into practice, right?"
"How so? I'm thinking things, thinking things, thinking things, well-"
After thinking about it, it seems that there is nothing wrong with this definition of the predecessors, although it seems to have sorted out a set of its own statements, but it has no effect from the perspective of practical application - because no one generally wants to put a set of absolutely neutral shackles on themselves.
"Sometimes think about it and if your secondary school state is the same simple self-righteous fantasy as a normal junior high school boy, just a situation set by yourself with a hidden superpower, your family and I will be much easier!"
"Well, it's the first year of high school, if it's as simple as the second year of middle school, then is there any point in growing up in the past two years?
"But there's no point in discussing the high-level and low-level states of Form 2 in itself. Senior Xiao Mu Yu sighed and said indistinctly.
"Hmm, what did you say?"
"Ah, what I'm thinking now is that from this point of view, Takahiro is still a good child, and he hasn't been cultivated into a character like yours, so it seems that my sister really can't be too close to my brother's age. You are the victim of your Yui-san sister's inability to guide you correctly during the period when her worldview was formed!"
"Please don't judge other people's worldviews! Not even seniors are allowed!"
"Okay, okay, don't be so angry!" Xiao Mu Shu senior lifted his hat slightly, blinked, took a step back, made an apologetic gesture, and said.
Most of the times when getting along with her predecessors, because of the more approachable and lively atmosphere that she reveals that is different from the school, it will always make people ignore her appearance or the existence of the peak of the school's appearance that has won two consecutive Miss Wu Gao, and if necessary, can be re-elected for the third time. However, this kind of temperament that the predecessors occasionally unintentionally exude when they are a little naughty is enough to make people tremble a little.
"What's the matter? I was still angry with my husband before! It turned into a situation like you were losing your temper with me so quickly, and you are really good at turning a situation that is not good for you into a situation that is favorable to you!"
"Well, it's not like that, I'm just thinking about people like my predecessors, people who can be benchmarks in every sense, it's really a little too rare, although I always feel that I can't define perfection, but I always feel that it's not far from perfection!"
For me,It's a truth.,Probably because at the beginning of the Kogi Senpai gave me too good an impression.,I've always had a longing for Kogi Sao's seniors.,It's not a boy's admiration for girls.,It's a longing that can exist as one's own idol in a certain sense.,Close to everyone.,And it won't have an impact on other people.,Have your own talents.,But even if you play your talents, you won't interfere with others.。
This state seems to arise naturally, just like a high-end one-color feather state, with the same comfortable interpersonal attitude as Isshiki, but without Isshiki's sense of disobedience.
Maybe this is an arbitrary judgment on my part, but so far, my impression of my predecessors is such an excellent impression.
"Is it perfect?" the senior shook his head and immediately denied my words, "You can't use the word perfect on me! From many angles, I am a very dangerous person!"
"But—"
"-By the way, Kazuya, do you think it's a good thing to figure everything out?" Kogi asked quickly, as if he didn't want me to refute it.
"Uh, if that's what I think—"
"—you think it's a good thing, but I know roughly that the principle of your approach is to analyze things clearly!" replied the senior himself.
"It's true to distinguish the situation.,But I think it should be clear.,But I'm not sure yet.,I'm not sure about this kind of thing......" I felt that my seniors had seen through the mentality.,I wanted to refute something a little awkward.。
"But, Kazuya, I think that if you don't think about it so clearly in many things, or, at least, let yourself be confused, let yourself not work so hard, really, it will be much better!"
Senior Xiao Mu Shu, as if he remembered something and sighed, and as if he didn't know anything and just said it casually, he took off the hat on his head, let his long hair fly behind him, opened his hands, looked at the sky, and carried the street lamp that had just been lit up in the evening, which was not so clear, and said in a voice that was harder than usual, but not very loud.
------------------------------PS------------------------------------
Well, the first half of this chapter, it's really not like I intended to write this long, I also said that this kind of monologue will not appear except for the frontispiece and the end of the volume, but I still wrote it, and I have to self-examine, and I will definitely not commit it in the future (less offense). I just think I should write this idea clearly - although I don't think it's clear when I'm done.
The second point of notice is more important.,I decided to move after I didn't get a reply to the starting point for a week and a half after submitting an application for lifting the ban.,As for where to move.,How to update it after moving over are still being discussed in the group.,It's expected to be decided this weekend.。 Of course, if you have any opinions, please join the group discussion.
So in the end, I will inform you after the decision is made next week, and an announcement will be made here for this book, and the old pit will also be notified with the chapter name.
