"Shakyamuni shaved his hair, firstly, to strengthen his faith in becoming a monk - not to return to the world; secondly, to show that there is a difference from the traditional Sangha in that those who do not shave their hair are the outer paths, and those who shave their hair are the right paths; thirdly, for the convenience of practice, the absence of hair will help to restrain the desire for grooming; and fourthly, to cater to the legend that all Buddhas in the past used to shave their hair. ”

"But after Shakyamuni became a Buddha, a bun grew on his bald head, which is something that looks like hair, but is actually muscle, as you know, this is one of the 32 phases, which is called the top bun phase. ”
