Act XLIX
Apparently unconscious, and not recognizing his former master, the bard opened the book and began to write quickly with the decaying quill in his hand. Pen | fun | pavilion www. ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ γ ο½ο½ο½ο½
Countless gray words emerged, and in front of the bard, soldiers in tattered armor stood up one by one.
These once reliable companions have now become hostile people, and although the blades in their hands have been rusted, they are still capable of taking lives.
"Be careful. β
Rosen let Karene and Langton stand behind him, and the wolf knight's greatsword in his hand was raised flat, making a gesture of preparation for the charge.
The Bard's Heroic Spirit, which was not already a combatant type, was further weakened after his death, and Rosen prepared to decapitate with a single blow to break the enemy as quickly as possible and prevent it from happening.
In a trance, Rosen saw a silver thread appear in front of him.
Unlike the usual curve that predicts an enemy's attack, this silver line looms horizontally across the ground in the center of Lawson's field of vision.
The silver thread oscillated slightly, never able to come to a standstill.
Rosen had seen something similar before, that was when he inspired Scarlet Terminal to fight Noah, and he didn't quite understand what kind of existence was in front of him, but Rosen had some vague guesses.
However, this did not affect his shot.
Buzz β
The air beeped from compression, the blade tore through the atmosphere, leaving a dark red afterimage, and Rosen himself had already crossed the defensive formation of several defeated soldiers to reach the bard.
A sword, a scorching blade swept in front of the bard, but an invisible barrier blocked Rosen's blade beyond the speed of sound.
"The indestructible armor, no one can peep into its shape, not even the most powerful warrior can penetrate this iron wall, the steel roars, the trumpets of the past are long and continuous, recalling the glory of the past. β
The bard sang, singing in a rhythmic voice.
Around him, an invisible barrier was formed, and although it was impossible to distinguish with the naked eye, Lawson could still see through the flow of magic that a magical armor was wearing the bard's body.
"The indestructible blade, the sword that slays the gods, the stars of the heavens are your light, dispel the chaos of darkness, and slay your enemies here. β
As the bard spoke, a sharp sword appeared in his hand, richly decorated, but translucent, in which stars could be seen, and it was clearly an extraordinary blade.
"Indestructible Starlight? The Sacred Sword of the Craftsman God Heidegger made of stars?"
Karin recognized the minstrel with the weapon, which was apparently the prototype of the sword.
The bard slashed at Lawson with a sword in his hand, without the appearance of swordsmanship, like a child's heartless sword.
But in Rosen's opinion, this sword even contained the power of the entire universe, and there was no way to dodge it, and just as he tried to block, a voice sounded from behind Rosen.
"You can't block it, you can dodge it. β
Just a short sentence, Rosen didn't even have time to think, and directly dodged according to what the other party said, he only felt that the starlight in the sky passed by him, but it didn't hit after all.
"As long as this sword hits, it will release the power of a world contained in it, and although it is a fake, it can also cause a lot of damage. β
The voice from behind said that it was Vivien.
"Are you awake?"
"Isn't that nonsense, I don't know such a verbose ash. β
Vivien said with some disgust.
"It's not enough to help, but it's okay to talk. β
"Do you know what's going on?"
Lawson dodged the Bard's sword again, and that sword seemed to give the attacked person the illusion that he could not dodge, but as long as he figured this out, with the swordsmanship of the opponent's three-legged cat, he really couldn't help Lawson.
"This is one of his tricks, the [Immortal Psalms], which can be used for a certain period of time without writing, and the ability to initiate the embodiment of utopian imagination with words alone, and it is stronger. β
Vivien still knows more or less about her own Heroic Spirit, explaining at this time.
"But the disadvantage is that it needs to be read out, and it is easy to be guarded against by the enemy. β
Lawson nodded, and then handed out the long sword in his hand.
The flames ignited, bypassing the starlit sword and slashing directly at the bard's head.
Whenβ
The blade of the sword, which was blocked by the invisible barrier, immediately turned around, and in the blink of an eye, he swung three swords.
Dangdangdang β
Although the Bard's magic armor was quite strong, Lawson's swordsmanship was not a show, and the originally stable space was shaken by the heavy blow, which was a sign that the magic armor was becoming fragile.
Just as the bard swung his sword again, Lawson drew another sword at the same time.
Bang β
Two swords slashed at the bard from the left and right, and the indestructible starlight in his hand fell on top of Rosen's head.
The first to come into contact with each other was Lawson.
His two great swords directly distorted the bard's entire body, breaking it into three, and the long sword in the bard's hand also lost its crosshair, grazing Lawson and flying to an unknown place, instantly shattering.
The bard's body was also left unkept, and the moment he was killed, the whole person turned gray, and when it hit the ground, it turned to ashes and piled up in the windless corridor.
And those summoned soldiers also fell apart and disappeared with the demise of their masters.
"It seems that even the deceased who are dominated by this fortress have different strengths. β
Rosen said, putting away his two broadswords.
Obviously, there are those like Gruul who are weaker than they were in their original state, and there are those like Bards who have not dropped much, but there doesn't seem to be anything stronger than they were, but it's not absolute.
"Even here there are such dead guards, and it seems that there is no safe place in the whole fortress. β
Karen argues that the existence of the bard is not necessarily related to this trap, and that the two obstacles should be set up separately.
"Let's go. β
Langton said that if they stayed any longer, they would inevitably encounter something strange, and since the fork in the road was in sight, they didn't need to stay outside for too long.
Nodding, Rosen didn't dwell on the bard's wreckage anymore and stepped over directly.
The hallway was actually quite short, and soon they reached the front of the door.
I saw the words "Reception Hall" written in ancient writing, which made everyone feel a little strange.
"It's supposed to be a fork in the road, why did you go straight to the reception hall?"
Langton asked, could it still automatically judge their thoughts and guide them directly to where they wanted to go?
"Whatever the reason, it's always up to see. β
Rosen said, then pushed the door open.
Then, Rosen swore that if he was given another chance to choose, he would never choose to come to the reception room.
