The hazards caused by boiler fouling are that the output vapor pressure of the boiler is insufficient, and the high-pressure steam generated by the boiler cannot be discharged in time, resulting in the boiler explosion.

Of course, even if soft water is used as the steam generation medium, there is no guarantee that there will be no scale at all, but the amount of scale can be controlled and can be treated until the ship is overhauled.
