Chapter Eighty-Eight: The Truth Forced to Spit Out I
It was just a dream, and when Harry saw Vio again, he immediately put it behind him. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć ļ½ļ½ļ½ļ½
They trudged through the snow and sat down on the edge of the lake, and the wind was still bitter.
But because of this, the air is very clean, and after taking a deep breath, the cold fills the chest cavity, and the brain becomes very clear.
"Look what this is" Hermione pulled out a thick tome from her bag, which was the one that Vio had lent her earlier, "Hogwarts, A History of the School".
Vio looked at the book in her hand wistfully, not interested.
Hermione glanced at her knowingly, "It's not this book, look here." As she spoke, she opened the book, and there was a thin mirror hidden in the innermost place, very ordinary and unremarkable.
But it immediately made Vio happy.
"Danae, are you alright?" Vio leaned in to look at his hypocrisy as he pretended to be concerned, "It's okay, they're my friends." ā
The mirror didn't change anything. Hermione put the book back on and covered it.
"It's useless, it's been like this for the past few days, are you sure it's really a mirror with a soul in it?" Ron asked with a big grin, "I mean this thing is only half a soul, how much evil people have to be ruthless to stab their own souls"
"Ron! Soul Splits certainly don't use knives!" Hermione corrected him dissatisfied.
"That's just that. ā
"Pretty much leave it alone, and when she figures it out for herself, she'll probably figure it out sometime. Vio sighed.
She figured she would figure it out for herself only if she brought Danae to the basilisk.
"Why did you let us bring this mirror out?" asked Harry, puzzled.
Vio looked at the thin layer of ice on the lake in the distance and replied as slowly and clearly as he could: "The soul in this mirror has been fooled." ā
Hermione patted Vio lightly, signaling a slight vibration in her book.
Vio continued, "One thing you may not know is that before the Slytherin Quidditch team practiced for the first time, Pansy and Bailey went to my dorm.
"They were said to have sent me a message at Flint's invitation, but I didn't hear anything at all.
"There's no need for Bailey to lie to me, but what if they didn't lie and I really didn't get a message?"
"Oh my God!" Hermione covered her mouth in surprise and let out an incredible cry, her eyes widening, "You mean, Parkinson was already controlled by the Slytherin heir that day, right?"
Vio's brows furrowed slightly, but she still nodded, "I think so." ā
"But how did they get into your room? If they were controlled before they entered the room, then why did you say the mirror was fooled?" said Harry.
"The answer is, Harry, do you have that journal with you?"
"Well, no, I put it in my bedroom. Harry hesitated for a moment, then added, "The night before yesterday, that journal showed me how the secret room was opened many years ago. ā
Vio stared at Harry, trying not to miss a subtle change in expression on his face. "It's not empty in the journal, is it?"
"Yes," Harry muttered, "I see you and Hagrid opening the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago and domesticating a giant eight-eyed spider," Ron winced, "and you, you're standing next to a giant black snake."
Is this the illusion that Tom Riddle made up for Harry? Is it really good to put himself with Black Snake?
Vio is sure that she won't have a bit of a Parseltongue, otherwise she would have gone to the secret room to release the basilisk a long time ago, and she would have been wasting time waiting for the plot to happen naturally for most of the semester?
Thinking of this, Vio smiled, and she thought this was ridiculous.
"Well, Hermione knows, I told her about Danae in the library after the Halloween party, so she and I both know what's in the chamber.
"I didn't tell you about this until then because I had decided to take Danae myself to let the basilisk go and release it into the Forbidden Forest or some other natural environment.
"But Danae doesn't trust me. She trusts her offspring more, the soul in the diary."
Harry and Ron looked at her in disbelief, and even Hermione looked cautious at the moment.
"That's right, I've dealt with him, and when you fell, Ron scolded me for coming late, but I was actually in the last row of the stands, where I could see the person chasing you, it was Pansy. ā
"But how can she know the dark arts!" Harry realized. "You're saying that Danae helped the soul in the diary to take control of Parkinson's, right?
VIO nodded approvingly.
"But they're all soul states, and they're locked in the room by vio, how can they do that?" Ron scratched his head, couldn't figure it out, and then simply slapped it a few more times.
Hermione had a smile on her face, as if she had just finished a major homework assignment and received a perfect grade.
"Think of Myrtle's words, Ron, she says "they don't even let go of ghosts", who else could they have but Danae and Riddle?
The whole thing should be like this: Riddle used Vio's absence in the room to convince Danae to help him carry out his evil plan.
As it happens, the crybaby Myrtle is spotted by Danae while wandering around the sewer system, and she finds it amusing and finds Helena at Danae's request, and Riddle discovers that the sewers are a good place to get in.
"He took control of Parkinson one day, and then saw you, Harry, I guess this Riddle is not simple, he may have some hatred for you, and then he attached himself to Parkinson to kill you, and after he didn't succeed, he had to give you a curse.
Vio figured it all out, so he communicated with the journal and eventually came up with a spell to be solved, as Professor Flitwick had mentioned in class: many dark spells must be spelled to unravel. ā
"As for how I saw through Danae," Vio continued, "it was due to a dream in which I was attacked by a black snake in the air.
"In my dreams, I seemed to be a unicorn, and at the last moment, a unicorn-like beastmaster rescued me with a group of unicorns.
