Act 21: The Tower of Judgment (I)
The name Judgment usually means that this is the place where sinners are imprisoned, and it is obviously not normal for this tower to appear in the center of the Sacred Woman's Domain, and it is guarded by a powerful force.
The whole tower is spiral-shaped, towering into the clouds, the black surface is also coagulated by layers of blood, gloomy and terrifying, the tower has a terrifying momentum, as if as long as you stare for a period of time, your soul will be pulled into it, and there will be no return.
Lawson placed his hand on the door, and faintly could hear the whispered sobs and wails from within the tower, perhaps the cries of the souls who had died here for thousands of years.
His eyes were glowing with gold, and with a slight force in his hand, the tall door immediately shattered.
In the midst of the fragments, a black mist erupted and tried to devour Lawson, but as soon as the black mist touched the golden flame, it immediately dissipated and could not exist.
"Is this a ghost made of ownerless souls?"
Rosen could feel infinite pain and despair in those black fogs, and with a wave of his hand, a fire ignited, incinerating all the black fog around him.
"Rest in peace. β
He took two steps forward, only to realize that the space inside the tower was much wider than it appeared from the outside.
It was a vast area, with the black sun still hanging in the sky, and there were no stairs or anything like that, and it was clear that the shape of the tower was just a façade, which was actually a separate half-plane.
Rosen turned his head and saw that the gate stood so abruptly in the wilderness, desolate and miserable, and in other parts of the wilderness, there were similar gates, presumably leading to more than one sacred area, and even Rosen guessed that behind these doors, there might be completely different worlds.
It was here that the Goddess ruled over many of her worlds against the people of Chaos.
Rosen continued to move forward, he stepped on something hard, glanced at it, and saw that it was all white bones.
The bones could no longer be seen from any person or creature, because after many years of grace, most of the bones had lost their original shape, and had only become a part of the pile of bones, gathered here.
There are many such bone piles, like hills, all over the space.
Stepping over the pile of bones, Rosen found that the ground was beginning to become wet and viscous, and the half-dried blood had even coagulated in some places.
Here, Rosen can already see some remnants of corpses, not only humans, elves, Firut and El, but also dragons, chaos monsters, and even the corpses of exotic creatures that do not belong to this world, and are rarely mentioned in legends.
There was something faintly in front of him, but a faint haze obscured his vision and Lawson's perception, so he could only continue walking.
Across the area, Rosen saw a mountain of corpses.
These corpses seem to have just died, and the blood is still dripping to the ground from time to time, and the flesh and blood are wriggling, forming a filthy ground, and the black pillars are interspersed with layers of corpses, which is extremely terrifying.
In this world of extreme filth and evil, Rosen sees a throne.
The base of the throne was white bones, and the indescribable wriggling flesh constituted the main body of the throne, and on the throne, a man sit.
The man was dressed in a long dress, dressed in white, barefoot, sitting on the throne, she had long silver hair and crimson eyes, for some reason, Rosen felt that this girl looked a little like Randall.
The girl sits in a filthy world, but she is spotless, and the contrast between holiness and filth is striking, giving people a sense of insanity.
"You're finally here. β
The girl spoke, her voice as crisp as a wind chime, full of innocence.
"Who are you?"
Rosen actually already has the answer, but it still needs to be confirmed.
"You know that this place is called the Sacred Woman's Domain, so who am I?"
The girl did not answer Rosen's question directly, but played a dumb riddle.
"You're a goddess?"
When Rosen finally spoke, he couldn't believe that the goddess would appear in front of him in this way.
"I prefer to call myself a manager rather than a 'god'. β
The girl said, playing with the ends of her hair with one hand and looking at Lawson with indifference.
"Aren't you supposed to be asleep?"
Lawson was a little curious, and the goddess in front of him didn't seem so cold, so he asked random questions while paying attention to the situation around him.
"Well, to be precise, I am indeed asleep, in this holy realm, I can't interfere with the outside world, I can only slowly recover my strength, and it is no different from sleeping. β
The girl explained unhurriedly, and seemed to be not dissatisfied with the status quo.
"Who are these people?"
Rosen looked again at the mountain of corpses outside.
"These are the mortals who have tried to break into the Female Divine Realm and steal my power for thousands of years. β
The girl smiled, the smile was incomparably pure, but it contrasted sharply with the words in her mouth, and it was even more cruel.
"You killed them all?"
Rosen confirmed, but the girl did not answer the question.
Another voice answered Rosen's question.
"I killed them all. β
A crisp voice came from behind Rosen, a voice that Rosen recognized even if it was reduced to ashes, and he turned his face sideways to see the figure of the other party.
Gray hair, blue eyes, the sword of the sky Saint Greyius stood with his sword, leisurely.
"Why are you here?"
The first thing Rosen felt was doubt, according to the fate of the Sage, Graysius should also be obliterated by the Goddess, and should be a hostile force to the Goddess, but now it seems that he has become the guardian of the Goddess, expelling the intruders here?
"Why can't I be here, I should have been the guardian of the goddess. β
Greyius said, recognizing Rosen's confusion and adding.
"Do you think I'm just an ordinary Sage? No, I'm not a fake like Eustia, a discarded artifact, for thousands of years, in this seven-long cycle of reincarnation, I have been a Sage who has guarded her from the very beginning, and in each era, I will gain a different identity to fight against the people of Chaos. β
"What the hell is this ......"
Rosen felt as if he had touched on some big secret and was lost in thought.
"But unfortunately, this world has come to an end, all I need is to protect the safety of this sacred realm, and wipe out all those who spy on the existence of the goddess, that's all. β
Greyius said, his eyes cold, looking directly at Rosen.
"The existence that has stolen my power, and you are no exception. β
