There was a deep crack in the Sorting Hat, and Vio stared at it intently. After a while, the hat began to sing in a hoarse, graceful voice......
At this point, she was still unsure which house she wanted to go to, and although "Mom", Lady Sontrell, had made it clear that she would be more than happy to see her into Slytherin, but the time she spent with Harry and Ron on the road made her think that it might be easier for her to make friends in Gryffindor-
"Harry Potter!"
The hat shouted loudly, interrupting Vio's thoughts, and she panicked to find that the next one was her, and looked left and right, Ron was sitting on the Gryffindor table staring at Harry, while Harry with the pointed hat was closing his eyes and muttering something - vio knew he was telling the Sorting Hat not to get a Slytherin - "Gryffindor!" the hat yelled.
Suddenly, there was a loud cheer on the Gryffindor table: "Great!", "We have Harry!", "Long live Gry!"
Harry breathed a sigh of relief, sat down in his chair and looked at Vio who was waiting behind him, and smiled quietly at her comfortingly. Then he went to the Gryffindor table and sat down next to Ron.
When Vio sat down in his chair and put on his hat, the auditorium fell silent again.
Vio heard a thin voice mutter, "Ah, great courage, brilliant minds, Gryffindor or Ravenclaw? Hard! Hard! Ravenclaw allows you to hear the deepest knowledge and get the most useful teachings!"
"Gryffindor will undoubtedly make your life full of brilliance—oh! and very rare, very pure blood!Salecha's favorite!well, then, S-" The Sorting Hat was about to roar out—
"Sir-" Vio said cautiously, "Can I not go to Slytherin?" Just now, she glanced at the Gryffindor table, where Ron and Harry were looking at her nervously, and they saw Vio looking at them, quietly gesturing at her and lip-syncing: Gryffindor.
"Oh, what, you're not going to Slytherin, you want to go—Gryffindor?" the Sorting Hat's tone wavered slightly. A few more minutes passed, and it was almost the longest recorded sorting in the history of the Sorting Ceremony. The students in the audience began to whisper.
"I want to go to Gryffindor!" Vio insisted.
"Well, it looks like it's been a bit long - then, Glen ——!" The Sorting Hat suddenly paused again, then continued to yell, "Slytherin!"
Vio felt her blood freeze all over her body—she didn't dare look at the Gryffindor table anymore for fear of seeing Harry and Ron's happy faces stunned.
After a few more cheeky moments in her seat, she still didn't hear the Sorting Hat change its decision.
Professor McGonagall glanced at Vio's pale face and reminded her a little reluctantly, "Miss Santrim, you should be down. ”
Vio nodded as if she had woken up from a big dream, and she dropped her hat and stumbled down towards the Slytherin table—barely listening to what the Sorting Hat said to her at the end, "I hope I'm right, you know, there are some people who need to get closer to see what he wants to hide from you." I wish you happiness!"
